Chapter 11: Chapter 11

Chapter 10

I moved my hips to the song which was playing through my beats Bluetooth speaker.

'Tip toe' by Jason Derulo. I didn't know the dance for the song so I just moving and wining to the rhythm and I loved it and Henrique didn't seem to mind it either. He was standing on the grass moving to the rhythm with a toy in his hands. I was standing at the edge of the pool.

I twirl around to continue my dance move but I saw someone tall standing watching and out of fear I jumped and a few seconds later I was in the pool.

I used my hands and feet to reach back to the surface. I pushed my head up to the surface for air.

Alexander was now standing at my previous spot looking at me laughing. I splash my hands up angry him. "Are you crazy? You could have killed me."

"You're not dead, are you?" he stood smiling.

I rolled my eyes. I look down at my wet dress. "You always do this."

He places his hands on his chest, "Me, I've never made you fall into the pool before."

"That's not what I'm talking about." I snapped.

"Then what are you talking about?" His smiling stops when I realize I wasn't happy about what just happened.

"You sneaking up on me!" his crazy habit almost killed me. Why does he think he can just sneak up on me?

Oh, yeah. It's his house.

"I didn't want to interrupt your dancing. You're a great dancer by the way." I looked in his little browns eyes and I knew I had to forget him but not without payback.

"Thanks." I tried not to blush or smile, I need to maintain the angry persona. I look down at my wet dress. "Look at my dress."

"It's wet not ruin." He states which earned him a glare from me.

I moved closer to the edge of the pool, "Can you help me out please?"

He nods and bent down to offer me a hand. When my hand was in his, I used all my strength to drag him in the water with me and it worked. He started to fall face down in not too far from me. I was in stitches by the time he surfaced.

"That's not funny." He said a straight face.

I laugh, "That's how it feels."

He looks down at his suit and sighs. "I have a meeting in thirty minutes."

"It's wet not ruined." I laughed as I repeated his words to him.

"Ha ha ha, very funny."

We were close to each other, so close it was dangerous. I stared into his eyes as he stared back into mine, but the eye contact didn't last because Henrique started giggling.

I lifted my head to see Henrique at the edge of the pool and no longer on the grass.

"No!" I shouted but it was too late.

He was already jumping in the water.

I quickly swam up to him, but Alexander was quicker and catch him before he hit the water.

I held my hands to my chest to feel my heart that was racing.

Monkey see monkey do.

Henrique thought we were having fun and wanted to join in.

I looked over at the two. Alexander smiling at Henrique, "You're a troublemaker. You made my heart left my chest." I was good to know that I wasn't the only one affected by Henrique's attention. Alexander slowly places Henrique's feet in the water. He used one hand to hold Henrique then he lifted his other hand in the water then lifted up some water and splashed it in his face.

Henrique started laughing, so hard his head started falling back.

All my worries when and I started to laugh with him and soon after Alexander joined.

After a few minutes, we finally settled down. I looked over at Alexander who carefully lifted Henrique out of the water then started lifted himself out. I ran my hands over my face and down to my hair. I moved closer to the edge and lifted myself out. When I came out I looked down at my soak dress which was clinging to my body.

I lifted my head to see Alexander staring at the clothes, his face had an expression I couldn't read.

"I know, it looks awful but it's all your fault." He lifts his head to my eyes but didn't comment. "Now we're all wet."

He shifted his attention to Henrique then bent to pick up the wet baby. "No one's hurt we just need to get out of these wet clothes before one of us gets sick."

I nod my head in agreement and started to move in the direction of the pathways but stopped when Alexander called me, "Kalliyah. As much I want you not to get sick, I don't think it would be appropriate for you walking around like that."

I frown not understanding what he meant. "What do you mean?"

"Your bra and panties are showing and your breast in printing out." My eyes widen at his statement and my eyes immediately shifted to my bosom then my butt. He was right, my black bra was printing out and so were my breast and since I decided to wear red panties with a white dress, it was visible as well.

My face heated up with embarrassment.

Alexander saw my breast!

Not the breast but close enough!

I didn't want to lift my head but I knew I couldn't avoid not to either, "Thank you."

"No problem." He turns to his right and pointed off to the pool house, "There are towels in there. You can use them to cover up. I'm heading over there, I'll bring one for you." he turns and started to walk towards the pool house. I had never gone into the pool house before since today was the first time I've actually been in the pool and it's all because of a stupid accident.

Not how I imagined my first time to be.

A few minutes later we walked out with the towels on his shoulder and Henrique still in his arms. I didn't know how he managed but he looked like he did with ease. He places one of the towels in my hand then handed me a T-shirt.

"It's mine, you can play it over the dress after you've dried up. Come let's go over to the gazebo." I followed him over to the gazebo which he places Henrique on the chair then started taking off his clothes. He dried Henrique with the towel making sure he didn't miss a spot. Then he started talking off his jacket then his tie.

"What are you doing?" I look at him as he continues to remove his clothes.

"What's it looks like I'm doing." he kicked off his shoes. "I don't wanna get sick either."

He pulled opened the buttons off his cream shirt revealing the marina underneath. He started to remove his belt then his pants. "See, all done. That didn't take too long."

Alexander stood in front of me in nothing marina and boxers.

Everything was showing and by everything I meant his muscles, the print out of his abs, everything. I tried to control my eyes, so I stayed on the first half of him and not any lower. I didn't want the image of Alexander Carter's body in my mind. His personality was already too much to handle.

I bent his head to look at his wrist, "You'll have to take care of Henrique. I'm going to leave for my meeting." He grabbed his clothes and started walking away. I let my eyes look at his body as he moved farther away. He turned suddenly making me jump a little, "See you later Kalliyah," then he turns and continued to walk out the garden.

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding when he left.

I look down at the naked baby.

"It seems like you and your brother are both troublemakers." Henrique giggles and stare at me. I had no idea if he was giggles because he agreed with my statement or it was because he was a baby and babies giggle.

But whatever his reasons were, the two trouble markers were slowly making away in my heart.

.......

I touch the expensive antique and admire its beauty. Since Henrique is sleeping I didn't really have anything much to do so I decided to browse around the mansion. There were parts of the place I haven't even seen, like the side where Alexander bedroom was.

As I moved closer to down the hall, I start to hear sobs. Curious to know who is crying I moved closer. I leaned against the wall as I eavesdrop on the conversation.

"No, I have to work." I recognized Ms. Wilson's voice immediately. "Maybe. I don't know. I'll try and make it tomorrow...Yes, I know that but.." she sobbed some more. "Alright see you tomorrow." She reminds silent as she continues to cry. I guess her phone call had ended.

I peeped and saw the crying face of Ms. Wilson. My heart aches a little to see her cry. Even though she isn't the nicest person to me, she still was a human. I walked out of the hall and turn in the room, not exactly sure of my next step.

"Ms. Wilson is everything okay?" I found myself asking.

She lifted her hands to her face and started wiping the tears away. "It's not very good to listen to people's conversation," she snarled. Even when crying she could still be a bitch.

I shrug, "I know but I couldn't help myself you sound really sad. Is everything okay?" I repeated.

She reminded silent looking down at her phone.

I sigh, "It won't get better unless you talk to someone about it. I know you don't like me but whatever it is that's bothering you, you can talk to me about it." Even though she was mean to me when I got here, there was no way I could just watch her as she cried her eyes out, for whatever reason it may be.

She lifts her head to me, "My mother has just been releasing from the hospital and my sister needs my help to take care of her,"

"Oh, But since she's out that's a good sign. She's recovering." I said to make her feel better.

"No, It's bad. They didn't let her out because she's recovering but because she's dying," Ms. Wilson grieved. She lifted her head to wipe away the tear that was falling.

"Wow, I'm so sorry to hear." I never had a lot dead around me, but I knew it must hurt like hell. "Is that the reason why you're gone for long periods of time?"

She nods.

Maybe this was also the reason for her outburst with me.

"Then you should go and be with your family."

"It's not that easy." She says as she shakes her head.

I raised my eyebrows, "What do you mean?"

"I have a job. I can't just leave it!"

"I'm sure Mr. Carter wouldn't mind giving you a few weeks off." I didn't have a family anymore but I would've given everything to have my mother and step-father back even to have Alliyah back.

"Who is going to take care of things when I'm gone?" She shakes her head, "I can't leave." I looked at the housekeeper with a frown on my face. How could this house be more important than your dying mother?

"I can cook. I'll cook."

"Cooking is not the only thing I do here. I clean, I wash, I do the groceries and I take care of the other workers. You can't do all of that. You have Henrique to take care of. That's your job."

I nod my head understanding her statement "Then ask Alexander to hire someone temporarily while you're gone."

"It's not that easy." She explained.

"Do you think it's gonna be easy when you get a call from your sister saying your mother is gone and guess what you were here when they needed you the most. You'd regret it and it would haunt you for the rest of your life. So please Ms. Wilson, go be with your family. Help your sister. Make sure you don't leave from their sides." As I said the words I start thinking about my own family. What if I am to get a call telling me that they're more, how would I feel? Awful that I held them for something that wasn't their fault.

"What about here?"

I laugh, "What about here? You work for a billionaire trust me everything is going to be fine here." Alexander could hire even more than one person to get the job done, he probably money laying around the place.

"What will Mr. Carter say?"

"You've known him longer than me, but I can tell he's a nice guy and he will not let you stay here while your family needs you." He was nice wasn't he wasn't trying to accuse me of anything. He was nice when it came to Henrique. He was also nice when it came to me.

"You're right. Mr. Carter is a good man." She looks up at me, "And you're a good woman. I am sorry for the way I treated you. I should not have judged." I guess the persons in these households know the importance of an apology.

I shrug, "It's okay. I get treated bad all the time." So much so, that I'm used to it.

She offered a toothless smile, "I'll ask Mr. Carter as soon as he gets back."

"Why don't you start packing in the meantime," I stated with a smile and pat her on the back.

She nods, "Thank you."

She walked away, her tears drying up.

What do you do when someone was mean to you?

Forgive them and then Kill them with Kindness.
