Aria

Lucas was already at work like he usually does. Yesterday was a disaster. He never said anything to Luke or make up something for him.

Luke and I were watching transformers the movie in the Living room.

He clapped his hand whenever he saw Bumble Bee transforms into a robot.

I heard someone was clearing his throat. I quickly turned my head and saw Tom.

"Aria, sir Lucas told me to bring you to his office," he informed me. I looked at Tom in disbelief.

"Are you serious?" He chuckled.

"Yes, Aria. I'll wait for you guys in the car. "

I nodded and picked Luke in my arms.

I pressed the intercom.

"Rosaline, kindly prepare Luke extra milk bottles. The bottles here are all used." I ordered her politely.

Luke and I took a bath.

"Da...da" He clapped his hands and I kissed his forehead.

"Da-ddy." I said.

I prepared Luke with extra clothes and diapers, having a baby needed like this of course.

I wore simple black high waist jeans and a white crop top shirt. I put some mascara on and lip tint on my lips.

I picked up Luke in my arms and went down to the stairs.

I gave Rosaline Luke's bag and she put the milk in it.

We go in the car and sat in the backseat while Tom and Rosaline at the front.

"You look pretty Aria." Rosaline complement.

"Thank you, you look beautiful too." I smiled.

Luke looks at the window and I held his waist for him to balance himself.

He was jumping and pointing his little finger at the entire black car he saw.

After 10 minutes ride.

"Aria, we are here," Tom informed us, pulling the hand brake.

We got out and I followed Rosaline.

The guard didn't block us. Rosaline just punches something into the scanner.

We got into the elevator reaching the top floor.

I saw the same girl that Leticia and I met. She was Lucas's secretary wearing fashionable clothes.

"Sabrina, sir Lucas called us," Rosaline informed her.

She looked at me up and down. I raised an eyebrow at her, making her eyes averted in a second.

"Yeah...uhmm. I am just going to inform sir Lucas." She stammered and pressed the intercom.

She talks through the intercom. After a while, she informed us "You can go now."

We walked directly to the door.

"I am waiting here Aria. Just knock." Rosaline told me.

I knocked on the door and I heard his deep voice said to come in.

I got in with Luke in my arms.

He wiggled when he saw his daddy. I let him walked.

"Da..da.." He said in joy, waving his little hands in the air.

I chuckled.

Lucas looked at him and stepped out in his swivel chair, opening his arms.

Luke didn’t think twice and ran to his dad.

"My baby." He said and Luke hugged him tighter. I smiled at their reaction to each other.

It was so priceless.

He picked up Luke and looked at me

"Where is Rosaline?" He asks.

Really? I huffed in my brain.

He ordered us to come here but he was asking where is Rosaline. He didn't even ask me to sit.

"Outside," I said boringly and walked to the couch to sit.

"We are going to eat lunch to make up to you and Luke for my behavior yesterday." I forced my smile and nodded at him.

"I am going to make up because of what daddy did to my baby. Yesterday," he said and tickled Luke's tummy.

"You should do that." He slightly smiled at me.

He told Sabrina to bring the food he ordered and Rosaline and Tom to have lunch at the canteen in the building.

Sabrina got in and leaving the food here.

I prepared the food on the table.

Lucas sat beside me while holding Luke in his arms.

"Sorry for what I did yesterday. I am just stressed about work." He said in a soft voice.

This man can speak softly? I can't believe it.

"Just don't do that again. Give time to bond with Luke. He always wants to be with you." I replied softly.

"I promise that I will try." He said sincerely and we started eating.

"It's better not to bring your problem at home," I gave him a bit of advice

"I'll try my best Aria. Sorry for shouting at you and Luke." He apologizes.

"I understand just try to control yourself next time. "I gave him a little advice again.

Small steps Aria.

"Ah..ah.."Luke's cute voice interrupted us, opening his mouth.

Lucas got a little amount of cheesecake and put it in Luke's mouth.

Luke clapped his little hands. I got Luke's face towel and wiped the stain on his mouth.

"You two really have the same face," I said and smiled at them.

"We really are."

This is my chance to ask him. I could see he is in a good mood.

"Can you go home early today?" I asked him softly, hoping.

His face turned red and I looked down.

"No, n…nevermind. Don't b...bother to answer." I stuttered. He might create a scene here in his office.

Silence.

"I can. Why?" He replied out of a sudden.

A smile lit up my face.

"For you to bond with Luke today. We didn't finish watching Transformers and he likes that very much. I hope you can join us." I said sheepishly.

He got up with Luke in his arms.

I heard him dismissed and postpone all his schedules.

Great Aria... Just great...

He played with Luke the rest of the day after watching transformers.

Luke didn't get tired at all.

"Find daddy baby. Where is Daddy?" I asked him. We were playing hide and seek in the living room.

"Da...da." he shouted but not loud enough. I could see Lucas behind the couch.

He just smirked at me.

"Where is Daddy?" I asked sadly, waiting for his reaction.

He pouted and started to whine.

"Da...da..." He cried.

I laughed at my baby. He thought his dad is gone.

Lucas got out behind the couch and picked up Luke.

"Shhh... Baby Daddy is here. I won't leave you." he said softly, soothing his back.

"Da..da..." He cried and hugged Lucas's neck.

I gave him water to refrain him from hiccups.

I saw Lucas's beautiful smile but I could see the pain behind it. He looked really handsome.

"Thank you, Aria." He said eyes to eyes, his words giving me goosebumps.

"He really loved you."

I wish this day won't end or the days would come to be like this.

Seeing them smile and bond with each other becomes my happiness.

"Let's get to bed. It's already late." I dismissed them.

The two didn't protest and followed me to the bedroom.
