Aria

The day has come and it was Luke's birthday. We were already prepared for everything. Rosaline and Luke were already downstairs playing with the other kids.

Mostly Luke's visitors were a businessman and their children. Brent is also coming. I invited him of course. Brent and Leticia are only my friends.

Lily and Luke were with their nanny. Lucas and Mark are getting ready in our room. Mark forgot his suit and decided to borrow from Lucas. They are best friends so no problem with it.

Well, Leticia and I are in the guest bedroom where they were staying. She insists she will do our hair and makeup. I asked not to do it because putting a lot of makeup irritates me and I am not being myself. I told her.

She is very understanding and told me not to be silly. She even doesn't like wearing a lot of makeup at all. She told me that she would put a little just to glam.

I didn't know that she was a nerd type thing when she was in elementary until she revealed it to me. Lucas was the one who always saves her from the kids who bully her at their school. Now, I know why she was been so caring for her brother.

"Just a little bit of highlighter," she said with a flirty voice, putting it on.

"And now we are done." She winked at me.

I looked at myself in the mirror.

"You are so amazing." My voice came out in amusement.

"Yes, Aria thanks for the compliment. You are so pretty even without makeup on." She said truthfully and I laughed.

"So you are, you are very sexy." I hugged her, saying thank you for what she has done.

I wore a thin strap navy blue dress reaching my above knee and shining silver high killer heels. Leticia was the one who bought it, which very much suits me. Leticia wore a strapless red dress reaching above her knee also with elegant silver heels. She planned that we are almost the same. She was so very kind and thinks not only of herself but for everyone she cared about.

"I bet Lucas will be drooling over you." She giggled.

I just laughed in response.

Will he?

"When are you planning to tell your pregnancy?" I asked. She never tells me a little bit about her plan.

She put her hands on her hips and said. "Outing".

"Outing?"

"Yeah, don't think about it now. I'll announce it later." She dismissed.

I nodded.

"Let's go." She said, offering her hand to me.

I gladly accepted and we walked out from the room.

"Wait, I need to get my gift for Luke. I'll just catch you up later. " I said, excusing myself. I forgot my gift to Luke. It is in the walk-in closet.

"Ok, tell Mark to meet me downstairs."

I entered the door when I suddenly stopped in my track when I saw Lucas and I have the same color and he was incredibly handsome as hell. Mark was wearing a maroon suit. He looks good thou.

"Hey, Aria. I didn't know you are there." Mark's voice echoed, stopping me from drooling to Lucas.

I guess Leticia was wrong. I was the one who was drooling. I mentally slap myself.

"I...uh...Le...Leticia ask me to tell you. She will meet you downstairs." I stuttered. I could feel the ocean eyes were staring at me, making my legs wobble.

"Yeah, thanks Aria," Mark said and informed Lucas to meet there.

He walked to the door and said, " You are beautiful Aria but for me, Leticia is the most beautiful."

I chuckled. I wish I had met a man like Mark.

"Thank you, she really is." I smiled at him and he left the room. There was something in Mark's eyes that I can't read. I didn't know what is it.

I walked to the walk-in closet and got Luke's gift.

I was almost near the door but I saw Lucas standing and looking at me. I gave him a slight smile and walked over to him to fix his collar.

"All good, meet you downstairs,” I said softly, He is looking at me intently, making me feel bothered.

I tried to walk away but suddenly he circled his arms around my waist and I involuntary faced him again.

My head bumped on his hard chest. I put my hand softly on his chest and I looked into his eyes.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked softly.

He shook his head no.

I cupped his face. I didn't see a lot of pain anymore but his eyes dilated.

I ran my thumb through his cheeks the same reaction of my body a lot of shivering.

"If there is something. I am here… tell me." I whispered.

He tried to open his mouth but no voice came out. He took a deep breath, his hold to my waist tightened.

"You are beautiful." He whispered and a blush crept into my cheeks.

"Thank you, you are handsome too,” I said and I looked into his eyes but there is something he is not telling me.

"If I tell you this, would you hurt me? Like Chloe did?" He asks intently, looking into my eyes.

I shook my head no. I know what he is talking about.

"You can tell me. Not girls are all the same. Lucas." I replied.

I shook my head in disagreement.

"Let's talk about this later. It's your son's birthday. No need to ruin this day " I said, changing the topic.

He nodded before I could get out from his grip.

"Wait." He whispered. He was so calm today.

"What did you eat and you’re so calm and different today." I teased, lightening up his mood.

He chuckled darkly. I hugged him and soothed his back.

"I am here," I whispered but he pushed me out, facing him.

His eyes met mine. He cupped my face and ran his thumb into my cheeks.

It's getting hot in here. Very hot then super hot.

"I..." Before I could talk.

He put his forefinger to shush me. I removed it.

"Le..." he didn't even let me finish again. I was getting annoyed because it was too hot in here.

Suddenly, he places his lips on mine catching me off guard.
