Chapter 85: Chapter 85

Epilogue

I found her in the town of Tyreese. Miguel helped me in locating her. I still don't totally trust Miguel, but I need his knowledge at this point. The officials assumed Miguel was dead, so he remained dead for everyone. I'm the only one who knows he's alive, and he's discreetly helping me in finding Amara. According to his narrative, a human couple took her there and treated her as if she were their own daughter. I was relieved to learn that she was still alive. I had almost given up hope for over two years, but when I found out she was still alive, I couldn't help but meet her immediately and clasp her in my arms.

But my sense of hope was dashed when Miguel revealed more facts about her.

"While investigating her traces... I discovered that the human couple had taken her to the hospital for humans, so I went there to inquire about Amara's medical information and found that... she couldn't remember anything from her past," Miguel continued, making me stand up in irritation.

"What?" I asked, dismayed. I couldn't believe it. She had previously had amnesia, and I never imagined she would experience it again!

"That's why she didn't try to return for two years..." Miguel added.

It enraged and irritated me. Miguel advised me to be patient till we spotted a hole close to Amara. That's why Miguel, who is spying on Amara, is my only source of information.

Amara has been working at a company for a year, according to my sources. According to Miguel's story, Amara is gradually acclimating to human life. But I'll never be pleased with what Miguel tells me, especially after he tells me that Amara has a close friend. And it was a boy.

Damn it! I know I'm being paranoid, but I can't help myself. She has forgotten about me! She doesn't even know I exist! She is completely unaware that I am waiting for her to return. And because she doesn't remember me, there's a chance she'll fall for someone else! Thinking about her staying with another man... keeps me awake until midnight. When I thought she was dead, I became restless... But now that I've discovered she's still alive... I'm even more agitated.

"What is she doing here?" I wondered when I noticed a familiar woman in the entrance hall wearing a beautiful gown and her hair in a ponytail. There's no doubt about it. I know her, she is the Princess of the Urzua Kingdom.

"It was Elder Samuel's idea, and he thinks it's a good idea for you to meet and talk with the Princess of Urzua," Elder Raymond stated. I clenched my teeth. I truly want to remove that jerk from his position, but I can't do it without solid justification, especially since there is no evidence that he helped Elder Mateo when Dylan was alive.

But I still despise him. He's friends with Elder Mateo so I know his principles.

"I don't need her, Samuel; I'm still looking for Amara—"

"But, your Majesty, it's been two years. You need to find a wife to be able to produce a successor," he insisted. We are now in the conference hall, surrounded by other officers, and he dared to speak like this because he knew that almost everyone here agreed with him. I know that this day will come. My people will find someone who assures them to fill the throne. But... I can't let another woman be my wife. Amara is alive! So, I won't marry another woman!

That's why I did what my heart wanted. I'll always follow Amara wherever she goes. I will follow in her footsteps for the rest of my life. I don't care what happens. I bolted from the palace. I used my palace funds to purchase the company for which Amara works because I recently discovered that it is on the verge of going bankrupt. It's also to my benefit since the treasures in my palace here in Tyreese are extremely valuable.

And despite everything that had happened, I knew that it was all worth it... because she had finally returned to me.

I watched Amara as she sat down in front of Shena's grave. Her shoulders shook as she gazed at the grave of her late friend. Miguel is standing behind us. We decided to go to Shena's tomb after all of the troubles at the palace. She had wanted to go there for a long time but her condition became delicate. After two weeks of her return to the palace... We discovered she is a week pregnant with our child.

"Please... calm down..." I hushed her down because her cries were becoming heavy. I understand she can't control her emotions at the moment, but I'm concerned because she's pregnant.

"I-I know... don't worry..." she reassured. I nodded and rested my hand on her shoulder. I remained behind her while she continued to gaze at Shena's grave. I was also staring at it. I don't recall any interactions or memories with this woman... but somehow, I feel like we have a huge connection between us. She is the great love of my friend and the closest friend of my wife. So, even though I don't recall being with her, I still feel the pain of what she through.

Even though I haven't met her yet, I know she's a good person and I can't help but be very grateful to her. She protected Amara... she sacrificed herself to save Amara. And I can't express how grateful I am... I guess she's just so special and we're grateful that we met her.

"I-I'm sorry..." Amara stammered as she touched the rock with Shena's name written on it.

"I... don't know if you could forgive me, but... I'm so sorry... if I was just careful... if I was just wise enough... this shouldn't have happened to you..." Amara's voice quivered. To comfort her, I stroked her back.

"You don't know how grateful I am that I met you, Shena. You became my savior when I was lost. You became my sister when I couldn't recognize everything. You... are my savior, Shena... and I owe everything to you. I owe you even this lifetime, and I never get tired of thanking you... and asking for forgiveness..." she continued. I kissed her on the top of her head. As she spoke, I could feel her anguish and despair. I know that the pain in Amara's heart is still there. Until now... her regret remains. Even I... still blame myself for the death of our first child.

But we're all working together on it. We promised to work harder together. We promised to be strong for each other. We won't let our past destroy us ever again.

I was just surprised when she hugged me tightly. I hugged her back.

"Can we visit her... always?" she sobbed. I stroked her hair. "Of course, we will..." I agreed right away. Amara broke out from the hug and turned to face Miguel, who was staring at the two of us silently.

"Miguel... will you be my child's godfather?" Amara inquired. I noticed Miguel's astonishment.

"It is my pleasure... your Majesty," he added softly. Amara gave him a big smile.

"Just make sure... you'll use a different name for him... if we don't want other people to think he returned as a ghost-like what you did in the palace..." I joked. I heard Miguel laugh. Amara laughs lightly as well. When I heard her laugh, I got a warm sensation in my heart. I'm not going to ask for anything else... But her smiles and laughs.

We had a lot to go through... For us, it was both painful and dark. But it shaped us into who we are now. We will not forget the past because it was our salvation to be stronger now. I was completely hopeless... I was vengeful... I was overcome with rage... However, Amara became my safe haven... She was my salvation. Despite my negativity, she loved me with all her heart. She accepted me even when I was still lost and trapped in the dark. But she drew me out of the darkness and became both my stronghold and my light.

"Shan Grey!" yelled someone outside my office door. When the door to my office opened and the boy ran towards me, I quickly adjusted my seat. Amara's concerned visage followed him, followed by the palace servants.

"Father!" exclaimed my son. When I came close, I grinned broadly and grabbed him. It seems like our son is giving a headache on Amara once again. As she closes the door, she looks exhausted.

"What is it, son?" I inquired quietly. My son, who resembles me, smirked proudly and raised his hand to show me an insect he had caught in the palace garden.

"It's a beetle!" Shan Grey exclaimed. I noticed Amara approaching us.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to catch insects? And don't run in the hallways! You're always making me run after you!" Amara scolded our son. I chuckled a little. But I kept silent when she glared at me. Shan Grey pouted at her mother. Our son is only five years old, but he's already curious about a lot of things. It seems like just yesterday he messed up in the library, then now in the garden.

"Your mother is right, Shan. Don't let your mother get tired, okay?" I told my son. Shan looked at me. His eyes resemble mine; I suddenly remember when Amara got so happy when she first saw our son’s eyes after she gave birth to him. She said that our son’s blue eyes are so beautiful just like mine. I stared at Shan Grey, he looks more like me when he's serious or curious, but when she grins and acts charming, he looks more like his mother.

"I'm sorry... mother..." Shan apologized. I messed up my son's hair while smiling at him. He glances at me.

"But can I play again?" he inquired, requesting permission. Amara caught my gaze. I just noticed she was staring at me. When I saw her staring at me, she seemed perplexed.

"Ask your mother," I suggested. Shan looked at Amara.

"Can I?" Shan inquired sweetly. When I watched how her exhaustion and irritation altered because of Shan, I chuckled.

"You can. Just hang out with Kylie and Rose, okay?" Amara said. Shan gave a nod. I put him down before he hurriedly leaves the office. My son, Kylie, and Rose were all followed by royal guards.

When Amara and I left alone, I took her in my arms. I slowly kissed her neck and sniffed her hair. Because of my kisses, I felt her jump. I laughed.

"Why were you staring at me earlier?" I questioned, turning her around. She averted her gaze. Several years have passed but he still shines in my eyes. Fuck! The mere thought of her makes me... hot.

"Nothing..." she denied. I lifted an eyebrow and directed her gaze to mine. When she stared at me, she seemed to be on fire. Really? We've been together for years, and she's still this way? Damn.

"You're lying. Tell me the truth." I attempt, and she pouts, there, she suddenly resembles Shan.

"Fine... I just find you... hot and... well... handsome while... talking with our son," she revealed, and the desire I felt for her became stronger just by her words; I only feel this way toward her.

"Really?" I asked huskily, need is flowing over my skin, and she felt it, so I saw the shine in her eyes and smirked. I guess... someone wants to get laid here in my office, huh?

"W-What?" she sounds sensual in that voice like she's seducing my entire soul.

"I'll just check if the door is locked," I told her. I quickly locked the door and my throat almost went dry when I turned to Amara. She's already naked over my table. As soon as I saw her waiting for me, my friend down there throbbed with need.

"Fuck!" I cursed. She burst out laughing. I approached her without hesitation and kissed her on the lips. My hands caressed her exquisite body. When I rubbed her breasts and sucked the flesh on her neck, she moaned. Amara was already lying on my table, which I had just cleared. I stripped naked and pulled her thighs apart, spreading them wider for me. I took a deep breath and swallowed hard when I felt her wetness.

"Put it in..." she sexily groaned. I couldn't stop myself. I pushed my way into her without hesitation. She groaned aloud. She clutched my arm as I slammed myself inside her. I was so heated that I couldn't stop myself but claimed her hard. When her vaginal walls squeezed my cock, I groaned. Fuck! Fuck!

"Oh! Oh!" she grunted repeatedly as I sped up my thrust even more. The sound of the table was also heard as I pulled Amara and picked her up. Damn... I want her all over again. I leaned her against the wall and claimed her more violently and forcefully. She almost floated on my shoulder as I continued to claim her.

She moaned repeatedly when I hit her spot. When I felt her climax, we were both panting damn, I liked it even more. Her ass hits the wall every time I thrust into her. And as soon as I felt my release, I pushed myself deep within her.

I held her closely and kissed her softly. She seems to be sated. I dragged ourselves into my office's bathroom. I soaked her in warm water in the bathtub. I took my place behind her. As I sat comfortably behind her, I instantly embraced her.

"I love you..." she said quietly. I came to a halt. This isn't the first time I've heard her say that, but I'm still amazed every time. I raised her and wrapped her thighs around my waist. We're now facing each other.

"Say it again..." I said, looking her in the eyes. She cocked her head and grasped both of my jaws.

"I love you..." she responded; her gaze fixed on mine. My heart was racing so quickly. Damn! My feelings for her haven't changed no matter how long we've been together. The truth is that my feelings for her are growing stronger every day.

"I love you... so much too..." I spoke. Her eyes welled up with tears. Something pinched my heart. Every time I see her crying... I feel like dying.

"Why? Why are you crying?" I asked, concerned. She made a shaky motion with her head.

"I am just too happy, Alpha Greyson but... what if... it's only temporary?" she wondered. I inhaled deeply. I was nervous there. I thought a problem suddenly came up. I grabbed her nape and drew her closer to me. I squeezed our foreheads together. I gave her a tender glance.

"So, what if it's only temporary? What matters is that we're happy. And if we come across a problem... we'll face it together. No one's letting go, Amara. We'll be on this together... forever," I answered, wiping away her tears.

"I love you... I love our son... I love this family so much... and that's all that matters..." I continued. She nodded and held my jaw to kiss my lips. When our gazes met, the fire and desire returned. I grinned.

"Let's do another round," I playfully said. She chuckled and moaned when I finally entered her again.
