At the after-party...

Serena did a bottom's up of her champagne while watching Liam, Katherine, Gale and Chelsea from afar.

They were all having fun and it makes her feel more depressed.

She's disappointed and frustrated because after all the sacrifices that she made back in 1945, she's the one who's suffering right now. Liam and Katherine had their own happy ending, Chelsea got the principal part of the play, and she got a wonderful and amazing boyfriend, which is Gale.

The bubbly drink gave her different overwhelming feels, and she wanted to let them all out.

She got herself another glass of champange from the roaming waiter, and she decided to walk towards them to join their conversation.

She was swaying, but she's still able to pull herself. After a few agonizing minutes, she finally came up to them.

"Hello, guys... Mind if I join the fun?" she said, almost slurring her words.

"Of course, dear. I guess you're having fun at the party,eh?" Liam answered, while looking amused.

"Yeah, she's having so much fun and she's making a fool of herself." Gale sarcastically stated.

"Hey! Who are you calling a fool?" she snapped at Gale. She took a swig from her champagne glass, and afterwards, she snatched Chelsea's drink and did another bottom's up as well.

"Uhm...I think you need to slow down, Serena. The bubbles might go straight to their head." Chelsea worriedly advised her.

"I think it's best for her if she can go back home and sleep the night off. Gale, can you please send her home?" Katherine suggested.

Eventhough Serena's drunk, she can still understand what they were talking about. She smiled when she heard Katherine's suggestion, and she wanted to kiss her for thinking of a brilliant idea.

"Yes, I think it's a good idea, sweetie. We'll be relieved if you're going to escort Serena back home." agreed Chelsea.

"Alright. I'll be back as soon as I can." Gale answered briefly.

Gale gently grabbed her arm and he escorted her until she realized that they're outside.

The man didn't talk at all, but her hand was still on her arm. She wanted to say anything just to break the ice between them, but she can't come up with any topic.

Gale called for a cab and after a few minutes, they were now inside the vehicle, making their way to her apartment.

Her eyelids felt so heavy, and her body's so exhausted, she just wanted to sleep right there and then.

She slowly leaned her head on Gale's shoulder. He can smell his perfume which reminds her of the sea and sunshine. She didn't realize that she fell asleep on Gale's shoulder and she is snoring non-stop.

Meanwhile, Gale lets out a small smile while looking at her sleeping face...

"Serena, wake up. We're infront of your apartment."

Serena groaned as she moved a little. She doesn't want to wake up because she wanted to feel Gale's warmth and relish on his sweet smell...
