Chapter 15: Chapter 15
I wake up screaming. I open my eyes and I see Michael is holding a burning fork against my skin. "It's about time you woke up, come on, we have to get moving." He starts to pick up the chair I'm sitting in.
"W-Where are we going?" I wonder.
"To a new location," Markus walks in. What? They can't do that! As much as I loathe Alpha Hughes, I'd rather be there with him.
"How is Alpha Hughes supposed to find me!" I exclaimed. "The object of hide and seek is to not be found, we are simply hiding."
This is a game? This is a game! This is my life on the line! Not a childish game made to entertain toddlers. I start kicking around and occasionally yelling 'stop.' Markus mutters words under his breath. I know it is something mean, it always is. I want to ask him so many things right now. Like, why did you take me, where are we going, and how come he pretended to be dead all these years.
It's like in the Lion King, Alpha Hughes is Scar and Markus is Simba. Markus is technically the rightful Alpha of the pack, Alpha Hughes is second in line. These thoughts keep my mind on ease. For a few minutes, I forget my current situation.
"Blindfold her."
Those are the last two words I hear before I'm blinded by a white cloth. "Hey! Stop it!" I fight against it. None of my methods work. "Tie her down." This ride to whatever hell I'm being sent to, will not be fun. It'll be insufferable.
The ride is filled with taunting whispers and kept secrets. I am tried of it. So, I do what anyone would do, I fall asleep.
They arrived the destination they were certain I am at.

"Jack? Do you think she's here?" Philip wonders, Emily at his side. Oh, how I missed Emily.
"If I thought she wasn't here, why would we be here? Use your God damn brain for once." Alpha Hughes insults his little brother.
"Don't speak to him like that!" Emily yells.
"Oh look, you have your bitch protecting you." Alpha Hughes rolls his eyes.
"Jack, you're such a little shit. Talk to me when your head gets out of your ass." Philip then wanders closer to the building.
"You should be grateful he's here helping you, Dean as much. We could be sunbathing in Fiji, if we weren't so loyal to you." Emily states. "Then leave. I don't need you." Alpha Hughes replies with. "No, because I know you. You need us, so be like a bee and buzz off."
Dean stays back at the pack to run in until Alpha Hughes finds me. I want to communicate with them, tell them where I am. But, I don't even know. Pity, isn't it?

"Wake up, Samantha darling." Michael says to me. He lifts the cloth away from my eyes. I'm in a caged room. The metal bars, are coated with Wolves Bane, my seat in right in the middle. The bars are close, almost touching. I'm glad I can even see through them. It's nighttime.
"W-Where am I?" I try to get an answer out of him.
"Oh, love, he won't be that easy. Just sit, tight. This last week will be over soon enough." Markus appears. One week, they have one week to find me. Great.
"Pst! It's me Silver." I can see someone's figure, I'm not quite sure if it actually is. So, I don't respond. I pretend to be asleep.
"Samantha, it's me. You can stop feigning sleep." I open one eye and I see Silver holding a flashlight. "What is it?" I whisper. "So, I've figured out my way around this place. I made a map. There are secret tunnels and floors Markus and Michael don't know about. If we stick to those, we might get out." I don't believe her.
We're not getting out. I'm going to die here. Alpha Hughes will never find me. Silver will never get me out. And if I don't die, Markus will probably take me as his mate. I really wish I could be home right now. I wish it were a month ago. What would my life be like if I had never went to the Mating Ball? If I never met Alpha Hughes.
"Samantha? You're falling asleep!"

"Sam, honey! Breakfast is ready. Hurry up, you'll be late for class!" My mom yells. "There's this thing called time, and guess what? I have it!" I respond. I laugh and finish putting my hair up. "Hey, Mrs. Wright! Is Samantha still getting ready?" I hear my best friend Genelia come in. I hurry downstairs to get her.
"Handshake?"
"Handshake!"
We high-fived three times, hopped on our right foot for two times, and we linked our pinkies and kissed our fists. Genelia and I laugh, "Eat, girls." My mother orders. I listen to her, and I dig into my waffles.
" and I don't even know why you girls bother at this point. Like, give it up, it's me! I win! And you lose!" We sang. Song after song it went like that. "Are you ready for today's test?" I ask. "Which one?" She jokes. I laugh with her.
"Mr. Hendrik's, he said it would be one of the hardest tests of the year." I elaborate more. "Oh, right! His! Duh, he's so grumpy I bet it'll be harder than Finals Week." I agree with her.
"Samantha!"
I hear my good friend, Natasha call me. "Hey, Tasha, what did you need?" I flip my hair and put in my locker combination. "So, I heard from Lauren, who heard from Quinn, who heard from Max, who heard from, your cousin Lydia that the test had been cancelled." She informs me. "No! I study all weekend, and all night the test has to happen." I complain.
Natasha laughs at me, "I think you're the only one
who's sad about it. Hell, I didn't even study." Then the bell rings, cutting our conversation short. "I'll see you later!" We say at the same time.
I walk into my Calculus class. I see another one of my friend's, Manny. "Hey, Man." I joked. "Ha, ha, I'm dying with laughter." He states sarcasm drips from his speech. "I'm sorry," I mess with his beautiful hair, "Can you find it in your heart to ever forgive me!" Manny laughs loudly at me. "I'll need to think about it. I need time for my heart to heal." Manny pretends to look hurt and looks far off.
"Okay! Quiet down class, you're getting your grades back." The teacher says. Some people groan, those people know they failed. I, on the other hand, am very confident in my score, an A- a.k.a 92%. I retreat to my seat and stare longing at the grade in front of me. The mistakes I made were silly, and elementary. If I had the chance to take it now, I will ace it.
My day goes like that. Turn in homework, do classwork, find X, go to lunch, talk to my friends, and so on and so forth. Everyone knows how it works.

"Samantha, wake up now." A voice came in between. But I AM NOT LISTENING.
