**Cassie’s POV**

It looks like everyone is anticipating the presence of our son, the next in line, and the first in line also as the heir of alpha.

"Where is my grandson?" Dad asked me if I could contain his excitement as he would see with his eyes his grandson.

Even the three idiot brothers of mine are so annoying that they keep pestering me with their nephew.

"Calm down! He will be here for the next few minutes; you just have to wait," I said to them.

My in-laws are sitting on the opposite couch; only Aron is here. Luna said that the younger guy is out for a trip because of some studies—maybe just an excuse.

Because if he sees another werewolf that threatens his position—his desired position, I mean—it is most likely he will show his true color.

The long wait is over as my husband and Rea are slowly going down the stairs. My husband is carrying our son with a proud smile on his face. Of course, he is a father now.

I know that deep inside before we knew that I was pregnant, he wished for a child. That is something that became one of my insecurities later on. What added fuel to the fire was the fact that I caught a woman trying to kiss my husband. So you know where my furious expression came from? But still, I learned my lesson that day: I should trust my husband more. He is my mate, and he will never let me be disappointed.

"Our grandson." The alpha and my dad are both doing a race to see who will reach my husband.

They both see our son, and this is the second or third time that I have seen the alpha, who looks defenseless and has genuine happiness.

Well, our past alpha, Kaiden's father, is well-known for being kind but also partly cruel leader. I saw how he can be a devil-like being as he punishes traitors and fights for territory and against rogues as well.

He is a strong alpha; to Kaiden's ability, he cannot yet reach his father's capabilities.

But I know that my husband will grow as a warrior and leader, and I will be on his side forever and for the rest of my life as well.

"My grandson surely looks like me. He acquired my handsome looks, and he will have my strong physique, I guess," the alpha said with a proud voice.

But my dad contradicted, and it looks like he will go against the ex-alpha this time.

"Looking much more clearly, I can say that he has my eyes and nose," Dad said, looking proud and competitive at the same time.

"Dad/Father," Kaiden and I muttered at the same time. And it is good that they came back to their senses and slowly began talking like they used to.

"I suddenly feel old now," my brother Tom said.

"Maybe you have to be more serious; then you will know how to fulfill being in a relationship. Stop being a whore," I said to him.

"H-Hey! I am not," he said, trying to defend himself.

It looks like my son will be tired for today since the elder still cannot stop carrying him around the packhouse. Not until Marion cried so loudly and looked like our little prince was hungry.

"May I excuse myself? It looks like this young man is crying because he is hungry and tired now. I am so sorry," I said to them, especially to the last alpha. It looks like he has no intention of giving Marion back to us. He loves his grandson this much.

"I will visit here more often," my father-in-law announced while his face looked more red than redder.

They began to say goodbye, and now it is our time to get a rest. I breastfeed my son, and my husband is arranging our food on the coffee table inside our room.

My husband is not lacking in anything. I know that as a woman who vows to always and always serve my husband, he is the one serving me like a queen. He said that I am someone he will cherish, and I felt loved. There is no greater thing than loving him, and Kaiden loves me unconditionally and genuinely.

"Food is ready," he said to me. It looks like Marion is satisfied and full. Kaiden took our son, and he put the little young man in the crib.

"Thank goodness, my father is sometimes very embarrassing." Kaiden looks tired and complicated. It seems like he is truly embarrassed.

Well, it is surely rare to see his father smile and look softly. I could feel his shiver at that time.

"They just love our son; there is nothing wrong with that." I tried to explain everything to him.

"But still! You know that I often get busy with all the work, and it is not helping that my time spent with you and our son will be cut off again."

I smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek. "We will just be here for you."

He smiled as if all his worries and problems had faded away. It looks like he is in a better mood. I am happy to see that.

The next day, my in-laws were true to their words. They visit us more often. And it is no more reason than their grandson.

It is already dark outside, and it looks like the new granddad and grandmom are so happy right now. They are still enjoying their moment, and it looks like they will have to postpone their travel. They told me that they were planning to take a vacation in Hawaii or Japan.

I must say that they deserve to have that rest, and given how long they have been serving our territory, it is only natural to say that they deserve a good rest.

And I might say that my in-laws are the kind of couple I hope to meet someday, and I hope so.
