Chapter 9: Chapter 9
❤️❤️ Finding The Thief (Part 8) ❤️❤️
It was a messy fight that shook the entire supernatural and in the end the Bird king was defeated. He left with his remaining people to live in hiding and no one has heard about him. That was a long time ago that even the people forget the existence of the Bird Kingdom.
Berlin could always feel the hurt in his heart whenever he remembered the past. How he had fled like the shameless fool that he was. At least he took the remaining of his people before they were massacred. He had taken an oath that he would avenge what they did to him and his people but the first people to feel his fury is the Wolf Kingdom. When he heard about the death of the Dragon King and his people. He didn't feel remorse, instead he and his people had celebrated. The Wolf King had helped Berlin in defeating one of his enemies and now he is dead and has left the wolf throne in the hands of his young son. Someone with a flap of his wings will fling him out of the supernatural forever.
He had heard a rumour where the young Wolf King is just as strong as his late father, stronger even but that won't last long because after he is through with what he is planning the young Wolf King will be a thing of the past.
"Don't just forget why I am helping you."
"I won't Vivian mark my words. I don't go back on it," Berlin said.
"Alright Berlin, till when I have to bring the water bowl to you."
Berlin didn't say anything, instead he transformed into his bird form and flew away, a portal opened mid-air and Berlin flew straight right through it and it closed.
Vivian was relieved that Berlin was gone and teleported herself back to her room where she quickly whispered some words and her sexy clothes and appearance all disappeared and standing in her place was an aged woman with wrinkles in her face and white hairs. Some part of her head was bald and the others were the falling white hair. Her sexy clothes were replaced with old crumbled worn out ones. And the door to her room burst open and a young lady in her early 20s rushed in.
"Where have you been all day Vivian? Have you forgotten what today is? It's your turn to wash the toilets in the palace. Be quick with whatever you are doing so that you won't fall asleep when washing, lucky for you I have started washing some of the toilets for you. You are old for this job and yet you don't want to leave, I don't know why though," the lady said and left the room as she came.
Kate won't understand. Vivian thought as she tried to hurry her old feet out of the room.
She had met Berlin in a traven when she was looking around the traven. The macho body build had attracted her in the first place and it was the first time she was attached to man. When they started talking she became aware that he was different and his aura was different and Vivian had asked him right away.
"You are an elf so I am not surprised," he said laughing out loud. "Follow me let's take a walk." he added and led the way out of the traven not looking back knowing Vivian would be following him. Walking side by side slowly, Berlin spoke first. "I also know your secret, what you are hiding. The real you, I know."
That startled Vivian and she stopped walking prompting Berlin to stop walking also. She was quick, she pulled him close to herself and pressed a sharp pointed sword on his throat.
"How did you know, who are you? What do you want from me?" she bombarded him with questions.
"Easy there Vivian,"
Putting more pressure on his neck he sighed.
"I know because I could smell your disguise scent and I could also sense a strong spell over you."
"So you are now a wizard or what?"
"I'm a bird darling so my nose can't ignore the scent. So who did you offend that would warrant them to put this strong spell on you?"
"My sister," Vivian said as she drop her hand leaving his neck and putting some space between them.
"And what about your sister? She was the one who did this to you?" Berlin asked.
Nodding her head in agreement. "Yes, she did."
"Why?"
"Because of Willow,"
"Who is Willow?"
"The guy that I was supposed to get married to, the elf King. She was very powerful, you known, very powerful. More powerful than me and she took control over my life," Vivian said, trying hard not to cry. "She made me like this Berlin. In the Palace I am this ugly old haggard woman who the Queen took pity on and gave her a job to wash the palace toilets and once I step out the Palace. I am back to my beautiful self."
"So Willow doesn't know that the old woman he sees everyday in his palace is you?"
"No, he doesn't know. He was told that I was dead by my sister. I don't know how it happened but one minute he was crying of my demise and the next minute he was marrying my sister. Our late mother was the elf sorceress. And you know elf's, we are very private and don't always come out especially the King. The only time you can see him outside the Wall of his kingdom is either there is war or he was summoned by the Wolf King. And the worst part of it all, she made sure no elf recognize me again." Vivian finished telling her story. She was sad and didn't know when tears fell down from her eyes.
"I can help you break off the spell your sister had placed on you on one condition."
Vivian's ears perked at that and when she stared into the dark eyes of Berlin she watched as he lifted up one of his hands to clean off her tears.
"Don't cry Vivian, it's not your fault. I know how it feels to lose your loved ones. I have been in your shoes so I know how it feels. I will help you on one condition."
"What condition?"
"There are some certain things I need and they are in each of the Supernatural royal homes. I will need you to get me the things I will be needing and once I am done preparing them, I will remove the spell from you. Whatever I am working on will be strong enough to remove your sister's spell on you." Berlin explained.
"Are you sure of what you are saying?"
"Yes," Berlin said and used his right index fingernails to cut his left palm, making it start bleeding. "I am making an oath to you today. I will help you."
Vivian seeing the blood oath which was rare believed him.
"I will help you Berlin, but remember to hold onto your promise."
"I always will," Berlin said almost immediately. "My first task is for you to steal one strand of hair from the Elf king head."
"I will try to do that. I will beg one of the servants to allow me to comb the king's hair."
"If you succeed in doing that, bring the strand of hair to this traven."
Vivian sighed as the remembrance quickly faded away. Then she knee down and begin to scrub the floor of the bathroom that belongs to her sister.
