Chapter 25: Chapter 25

Imogen was the first to wake up from her slumber as she rubbed her eyes, and pondered for a few minutes, as to where she was.

Realization didn't take time to dawn on her, as she rubbed her hands in between her legs. She could hardly move and as a matter of fact, she couldn't feel her legs. It took her sometime but she managed to recover.

Meanwhile, Keren also woke up but unlike Imogen she could remember how she got there, she quickly jerked up from the bed, wobbling her way to the bathroom to check if Kayden was there, but he wasn't.

She cleaned herself up, and called the maids to retouch her makeup before she sent them out.

She looked at herself in the mirror one last time and then left her room, only to collide with Imogen, causing her crown to fall off her head.

"I'm so sorry mum…I didn't mean to" Imogen apologized as she bent down to pick the crown, before firmly placing it on her mother's head.

"Imogen?" Keren called out to her daughter as she held her hand and observed her face, turning her sideways.

"Yes mum" Imogen managed to reply as she swallowed her saliva in the fear that she didn't clean herself properly, and maybe her mum had come to know her secret.

"Where is your other earring?" Keren asked her daughter, Imogen couldn't help but touch her ear, only to giggle at the fact that she was putting on just one earring. She dashed into her room to find the missing ear on the floor.

"That's better" she hooked it on her ear and smiled at herself.

"You look so beautiful…more beautiful than any other girl in the world" Kayden hugged her from behind.

Imogen smiled shyly, as she bit her lower lip with her two upper, front teeth, which would make someone think that she is the person getting married.

Imogen opened her eyes, only to realize that it was just her imagination.

"Hurry up!" Keren yelled for her daughter to hasten the process, as they both walked into the ballroom

Kayden stood at the altar, waiting for his bride like every impatient groom, or that was how the whole thing looked like.

But deep within him, he was overjoyed. Joy was an understatement as to how he felt.

All the guests were also becoming impatient, but he didn't give a f*ck, he was just happy that he wasn't going to get married, at least not to Emma.

Imogen, who stood there looking beautiful, also had a smile on her face. She was also secretly against the marriage.

Keren was having mixed feelings, at least she felt like she would be having Kayden all to herself, if the wedding didn't take place, but she also knew that it would be a very big slap to their faces, if they didn't conduct the wedding ceremony.

Everyone became tired of waiting as some of the guests were about to leave, not until a beautiful bride came walking down the aisle, holding a mixture of red and white roses, which scented in every corner she passed by.

Everyone just assumed she looked beautiful, because they couldn't see her face, which was well covered by a long veil that reached the ground.

"She is here?" Imogen was the first person to speak with a confused tone, and everyone stopped watching the bride just to look at her.

"I mean..wow! She looks beautiful" Imogen blinked her eyes severally and quickly changed her tone before she went towards Emma, while she held Emma's left hand, king Derick, Emma's father, held Emma's right hand and helped her walk down the aisle to where Kayden stood.

Kayden's POV

How is this possible? I drugged her,I know I did… So how is she awake?

Emma held her head high, and I could only imagine the smile that was on her face, when her father took her hand and placed it on mine.

"Let us begin shall we?" The priest asked as he looked at the both of us.

I couldn't help but smirk at the audacity of these people, they call me a demon, and yet they invited a priest to bind my marriage with a girl I want nothing to do with, with a girl that was sent to k*ll me.

I think they are getting this demon married to the devil itself.

I don't know if anyone else had noticed, but I saw Emma handing out a piece of paper to the priest, before she whispered something into her father's ear, and he smiled at her before nodding his head. Ok, I'm sure they noticed.

"Do you prince Kayden take princess ***..." The priest was talking, before he was interrupted by the loud drum that was being played in the background.

Firstly, who invited drummers to my wedding? And secondly, what gave them the guts to play so loudly at that point.

"Yes, I do" I just found myself declaring, before even letting the priest finish, as I slipped the ring into Emma's fingers without looking at her.

My eyes were glued to Imogen , who was standing behind Emma, looking so sad, as if a treasure was about to be taken from her.

"Do you princess*** " The priest was talking but was yet again interrupted by the drummers. If I had considered this wedding to be real, then I would have punched them in the face.

"Prince Kayden as your lawfully wedded husband, in richness and in poor. In sickness and in health, till death do you part?" The priest started from where he stopped.

For a moment there, I felt like Emma didn't want to get married to me as she maintained silence, but not for long.

"Yes, I do," she shook her head.

"You may now k*ss the bride" the priest declared.

I rolled my eyes in disgust, I already f*cked her this morning, and k*ssed the damn lipstick, why do I have to go through the same torture again?.

Emma was also reluctant in k*sing me, as she tried to move away from me.

What the hell is going on? Is she trying to put up and act? because if she is then, she is annoying the shit outta me. I just want to be over with this charade, I am forced to put up with.
