Chapter 86: Chapter 86

Zamiel threw the first punch at Kayden while he was still on the floor.

"Kayden you beast!" he held him by the neck, forcing him to get up from the floor, and pinning him to the same wall he had stained his blood with.

"Zamiel stop it, Kayden didn't do anything" Imogen tried to defend Kayden, as she kept on banging on the door from outside.

"But, if I don't do something about him. He is going to do something to me" Zamiel said, bringing out the small knife from his pocket.

Kayden was silent, he was too tired to fight back. Not because he felt threatened by the knife, but because he kept on hearing and seeing Heaven everywhere, indeed it was driving him crazy.

If Zamiel could just k*ll him and bring him out of his misery, then Kayden would appreciate it.

Zamiel was beyond shocked when he saw that Kayden wasn't fighting back. He knew Kayden would have smacked that knife away from his hand, and given him a good beating.

It only dawned on him then, that Kayden wasn't being heartless because he wanted to. He was acting that way because he was broken on the inside, and he had no one to share his problems with.

"Kayden" He whispered, as Kayden looked at him with tears in his eyes.

Even Zamiel couldn't believe it, Kayden was crying. He thought that was impossible.

"She left me. Why did she leave me? What did I do to her?" Kayden kept on asking Zamiel, as he scratched his head falling to the ground. Holding his chest, as if trying to glue his heart back in place, he was lost, confused, shattered beyond repair and even a blind man could see that.

Zamiel sat beside him on the floor and allowed him to rest his head on him.

Although the two were always at each other's necks, they were still brothers, and have always been there for each other right from childhood.

"She just left me the same way Lucy did..except this time, you helped her leave. You made Heaven leave me" Kayden cried his eyes out, the same way he did back in high school when Lucy and he parted ways.

"That's not true. I didn't do anything" Zamiel was confused, as to why Kayden would blame him in the first place.

"I saw her at your house, and I heard her talk over the phone. She said she missed him so much, she likes him and not me." Kayden sat with his knees touching his chin, and his hands wrapped around his knees.

Zamiel had no idea what Kayden was talking about. And maybe, Heaven wasn't what she turned out to be after all.

"I didn't k*ll my father. I didn't make my mother run mad, I didn't do anything to anyone. Everyone keeps blaming me for everything. And now Heaven has left me, who I'm I going to blame? Who should I cry to? Who should I talk to?" Kayden hit his fist on the ground.

"It's okay, it will be fine" Zamiel tried to console him.

"No, it is not going to be fine today. It is not going to be fine tomorrow, things will never be fine ...things will never get better" Kayden let everything out, as he rested his head on Zamiel's lap.

"She will never come back, the way Lucy never came back. She is gone! GONE" Kayden screamed at the top of his lungs.

Zamiel was too lost in his own thoughts, to know what to tell him. He couldn't believe that Heaven could go as far as having another relationship. He thought she cared about Kayden, to the point even Zamiel's heart had begun to ache and begged for mercy.

"Don't say that" Zamiel forced a smile on his face.

A week later

"Clara?" Zamiel was shocked to see Kayden's secretary at the castle with his briefcase.

"I'm sorry, my prince. I mean sir…I…" she was confused about what to refer to him as.

"It's okay, why are you here?" Zamiel asked her.

"Oh! Sir Kayden forgot his briefcase at the office. He has a presentation tomorrow and the files he would need for it are in here. I thought I would drop by and bring it." Clara had such a sweet smile, sweet enough to make any bitter heart beat.

"You can wait here. He'll meet you soon" Zamiel instructed, and was just about to walk out of the house when he stopped.

"You know what.." Zamiel took a pause.

"Kayden is upstairs, in his room. You should go and see him" Zamiel smiled at her, and Clara's heart jumped for joy.

He noticed that Clara had picked interest in Kayden, even the way she smiled and stared at him, while they were at work said it all.

If Clara can make Kayden forget about Heaven, then it would relieve everyone of so much stress, since Kayden keeps on blaming him for some reason.

On the other hand, Zamiel was pondering when would be the right time to tell Heaven that Kayden is awake and aware of her extramarital affair.

Zamiel's POV

"Your fiance is coming tomorrow, be sure to be present" My mum spoke, from behind me.

"I don't know why you still think I will marry that girl. I am not, and will never be interested in her."I protested, walking out of the house. My mum followed me, murmuring some words I chose not to hear.

I have gone on so many dates with this Joan chick, and she was nowhere close to my type. She seemed to be very cheap, loves money, and is dumb.

I'd rather marry Hannah than her.

Wait…maybe that is a great idea. If Joan comes over tomorrow then I'll introduce Hannah to her as my girlfriend, she'll cry, get over it and leave me alone.

"Okay, I'll surely be present" I smirked, before getting into my car and closing the door.
