Chapter 32: Chapter 32
Heaven's POV
Now, what is he going on about? I looked at him like he was some kind of alien. I mean, what he was saying did sound strange to me.
He closed his eyes slowly and then turned to ask me. I began to observe him, turning his face from side to side, just to check if maybe I had missed something.
"What are you doing?" He said in a husky voice, not as threatening as it used to be though.
"I am looking to see if you bumped your head somewhere" I didn't know where such an answer came from me. But it did seem like the perfect answer at that point, because that was exactly what I was doing.
"Heaven!" He shouted at me, and his shouting shook my body a bit. His voice thundered, and I am sure I wasn't the only person that heard his voice. Because, I could practically feel the ground vibrating beneath my feet.
"Answer me now, before I lose my temper" he whispered.
So, at this point he was trying to tell me that his temper was still in check. I seriously would hate to see it when he loses his temper completely.
"You did, you left me this note before you traveled. So why are you acting like this? Or can't you remember what you wrote? Or at least recognize your own handwriting" I squeezed my face at him.
"You must be joking with me right now. Because, I don't remember leaving you any note, and besides this is not even my handwriting…it looks more like…." He was talking but he suddenly took a pause and stormed out of the room.
What is it now? I am getting tired of the daily dramas that happen in this castle. Can't we all just get by a day, without something bad happening?.
If Imogen and I don't get at each other, then Kayden and Zamiel are going to be the ones at each other's neck. I just want a normal life, not a life where I am either being attacked, or attacking someone else.
"Kayden, wait!! Kayden please tell me where are you going?'' I ran after him, he was only walking, yet he was faster than me. I was gradually running out of breath, with my palm firmly on my chest as I ran.
"Ahhh" I screamed as I almost fell down while running to meet him.
But, somehow he was just in time to catch me. How did he even get to me so quickly?.
I placed my hand on his shoulder, looking at him, while I swallowed a huge chunk of saliva.
Maybe if I pretend to be hurt, then his anger will die down. And he isn't going to make any trouble with anyone.
"It will only make the matter worse. So just get up on your feet" he warned me, I hurriedly got up.
With his hand leaving my back.
He continued to walk, although he walked slower this time, so that I would be able to keep up with him. My eyes popped open, when we met our destination. I blinked my eyes slowly, and looked away from him.
Oh no!...We stopped at Zamiel's room. I was hoping that the door was locked from the inside, but then again, Kayden wouldn't care if he had to break down the door to force his way in.
He looked very angry, and I know how he gets whenever he is upset.
Unfortunately, the door was open, so he stormed inside.
Zamiel was still peacefully asleep, with no care in the world when Kayden clenched his fists, and grabbed him by the collar.
"How dare you, Zamiel?" He threw a punch at his face. Poor Zamiel was still trying to figure out what was happening, he was just woken up by a heavy punch. I wonder how he must have felt.
"Look at me you b*stard" Kayden picked him from the floor, and threw another punch at his face. Zamiel staggered, struggling to gain his strength, as he fell back to the bed.
I think those were enough punches that Zamiel needed to be knocked into reality.
Before Kayden could get him up and throw another punch at his face, he held Kayden by the hand, as his other fist landed in Kayden's face.
"The f*ck!!" Zamiel cursed out, so early in the morning. The moment he noticed that Kayden finally gave him some breathing space.
But, it was only for a few seconds as he soon returned, standing so close to Zamiel.
"That's what I want to know. What the f*ck were you thinking, when you wrote this love letter to my wife?" Kayden brought out the note from his pocket, squeezed them, and threw it at his face.
"Wh..at??" Zamiel was confused at first, but he managed to bend down and pick up the piece of paper. Trying to straighten it, he read it and looked at me, then looked back at Kayden.
Zamiel stood up from the bed, to face Kayden. And at that point, I knew that he was guilty.
"I'm sorry, she was so upset. That was why I…" he couldn't even finish his sentence when Kayden shot two fingers at his throat.
Driving him to the wall, and banging his head on the wall. I looked away, as I couldn't get myself to look at the blood.
"Stop it! Just stop it!!" Zamiel screamed, still feeling a bit dizzy. I opened my eyes forcefully.
Oh!..thank goodness because there was no blood.
"Did you stop yourself when you were writing this trash? You couldn't even stop to think for once that you are my cousin, and she is my wife, my lawfully wedded wife" Kayden looked so mad, as he threw another punch at Zamiel. Zamiel staggered backwards a bit, wiping his face with his palm.
"A wife, you married with a condition huh?" He asked Kayden, I turned to look at Kayden, who didn't even want to listen to anyone.
At that point, I wondered whether he even listened to himself sometimes. Zamiel threw another blow at his face, with both of them breathing heavily.
"Whether I married her with or without a condition, or by force, or even snatched her away from someone else.
That has nothing to do with you, all you should know is that she is my wife, and you have no choice but to respect that and stay away from her '' he warned him.
"If you had left a note for her by yourself, then I wouldn't have seen any reason to write her that letter. If you had at least treated her like your wife, then there wouldn't have been a need for me to fill in for you" Zamiel staggered, trying to catch his breath from all the punches he had received.
"I don't ever remember telling you to fill in for me, not even once. And if you are so concerned about women, who their husbands are away from them often, or who their husbands don't take care of….then you should probably go and take care of the wives of our guards" Kayden gave a clear point, although it was funny to me.
I had to hold back my laughter in such a situation.
"And when did she complain to you? Does she look like I don't take good care of her? Does she look like I mistreat her? Do you see any injuries or bruises on her skin?" Kayden asked, spinning me around in front of him.
"She doesn't need to complain before I figure it out" Zamiel rolled his eyes, resting his b*tt on his bed
"I see you have now turned into a fortune teller, who sees the past, present, and even the future.
Honestly, I don't care, if that is the career you choose to pursue, but keep my wife out of it" Kayden grabbed me by the hand, and walked away.
Imogen's POV
I stood by Zamiel's door, with tears rolling down my eyes, this was all her fault. She was responsible for all this. Just look at what Kayden did to my brother, because of her.
"No, she isn't. Kayden had never liked me from the beginning, even before she entered the picture. And I don't think he would like me after she leaves" Zamiel buried his head in his palms. I didn't need to ask him how he heard me, maybe I had said my thoughts out loud.
"Stop crying Imogen, come and sit next to me" he tapped on the empty spot beside him.
I removed my fingers, which were clutched to the entrance of his room, with my head resting on the wall.
"I don't like the way Kayden is treating you because of that low life" I cried my eyes out.
"Don't say that, she isn't at fault" he tried to defend her again. But to me, it was, and will always be her fault.
I rested my head on his shoulder, while he wiped my tears.
