Heaven returned to an empty room. She didn't understand if she was just bored, or unhappy.

Either way, she felt really uncomfortable being alone in the room, as she went in search of Kayden.

She went out to search for him in the garden, and then when she couldn't find him.

She went back to the room, or at least that was where she was headed, when she bumped into Zamiel.

"Woah! Calm down…" he reached out for her waist, stopping her from crashing to the ground.

"I'm so sorry sir…I just" she stammered and that made him upset. Up until today, when she found out he was the boss, she never referred to him as sir.

"My name is Zamiel, just in case you haven't heard of it before, or maybe you have forgotten.

Where are you running off to?" He helped her get on her feet, after so many seconds of staring into her eyes, and getting lost in them.

"I....I am looking for Kayden" she pressed her lips.

She looked so sad, and he didn't know why her sadness affected him so much.

"Heaven. I don't think he will be coming back anytime soon" he broke the news to her, she didn't want to believe him. She just couldn't imagine being all alone in the castle, there are other people, but no one talks to her.

He knew that Kayden would travel from time to time, where he would go, he told no one.

He normally returned out of the blue, and no one would dare to ask him where he went. Zamiel was the only one brave enough to do that, but still Kayden would remain silent, or sometimes attack him if he bothers him too much.

Kayden had always managed to keep his whereabouts a secret.

"So he left me, just like that. '' she tried to swallow the lump stuck in her throat. As a tear escaped from her eye.

Zamiel managed to catch her tears, just before they could touch the ground.

"Don't cry, he didn't leave because of you. He normally likes to go on vacations alone" he tried to make her understand, as he led her to her room.

"At least he could have told me or left a note. Or a text, call, anything…why is he treating me this way?" She lamented, lowering her head and letting her tears pour down.

She needs to get everything out, and Zamiel wasn't going to stop her from doing that.

"You are still getting used to him. Soon, you will be able to understand him, you just got married and you don't know what he likes, and why he acts the way he does.

But, I am confident that you will be able to figure that out soon enough.

He isn't as terrible as you think, and he didn't avoid you. I feel he cares for you so much, and is trying his best to protect you from the world.

Don't you see that?" He asked her, rubbing her back.

"You don't understand. Kayden hates me, he doesn't want to be with me. Whenever I am close to him, he pushes me away, and even when I throw myself at him, he still doesn't want to touch me.

Or do anything with me. I am like a deadly disease to him" she cried out, throwing herself on the bed, facing the ceiling, and spreading her hands widely.

''I understand you,but believe me it's just a misunderstanding, the Kayden I know will never turn away from a beautiful lady like yourself.

And besides, you haven't done anything to infuriate him, that will push him into hating you" he lowered his voice, he wanted to make her feel comfortable.

"I have, I don't know what I did, but I know I have done something very wrong, and not worthy of his forgiveness.

Because, he gets infuriated by every little thing I do" she wiped her tears. And sat up so she was facing Zamiel.

"You think I am beautiful" she licked her lips, and looked at the floor.

Zamiel couldn't hold himself back, and he didn't understand why he had gotten attached to her so quickly. What was it that she had that was so different from the other girls he had been coming across?.

Even though her beauty was one of a kind, her looks were very rare. She was still a lady, many of them came after him. But, he had never felt so attached so quickly.

He placed his hands on her shoulder and brought his lips close to hers so he could k*ss her, but she stood up from the bed almost immediately.

"What are you doing? I am your cousin's wife" she retaliated.

"I cannot believe that you are this cheap and shameful. If Kayden was here, then you wouldn't even dare to look at me, not to talk more about laying your hands on me. You are a man wh*re. Get out!!" She scolded him and sent him away.

Bowing his head in shame,he left her room.

"Zamiel! Zamiel!" Heaven kept on snapping her fingers in front of Zamiel.

He shook his head aggressively, and wondered how he was still in her room.

"Are you okay?" He heard her angelic voice ask, he nodded his head, as a yes and heaved a breath of relief. It was only his imagination.

At least, this little imagination of his, made him realize that she was still married to Kayden.

Hence he had to hold back any feelings he had for her.

Imogen's POV

So, this is the reason Zamy decided to cut short our conversation. He said he needed to do something, he was in a hurry, wasn't he?.

So,this is what he was hurrying to go and do?.

I can't believe that he left me so he could come to talk to this b*tch. I just want to k*ll her, and make her feel the pain she makes me go through every passing day.

First, she took Kayden away from me, she made him punish me every time, he was even about to hit me for the first time in his life.

And she came in between us to stop him, acting like the heroine. Now, she wants to take my brother, and divert his attention from me.

"Ahhh!" I couldn't help myself but scream, as I threw my phone on the floor.

"Imogen" Zamiel called out to me, running out like I was on fire or something.

He saw my phone smashed to pieces, and then he looked at me. He must have sensed how upset I was.

"Are you…?" I didn't even let him ask what he wanted to, as I angrily backed away from him.

"Just leave me alone! I am fine, I don't need your help" I screamed at the top of my voice, picking up the pieces that were left of my phone.

"Imogen, I am sorry" he tried to apologize, and help me out but I moved away from him.

"For what? For leaving your sister, and going out to see your own cousin's wife?" I raised an eyebrow at him, and gave Heaven a disgusting look before I walked out on both of them.

"What is wrong with her?" I overheard Heaven asking him from behind me.

"I have to go now. She is upset with me" Zamiel hurriedly left her, running after me, but he was already late. I slammed the door of my room in his face.
