“I will do anything! Just please, don’t tell my mom. I might get grounded for six months with this,” Kate genuinely worried her mom would never forgive her.

Kelly is not a strict mom regarding many things, but anything about Kate being sexually involved is taboo for her. Kelly always reminds Kate that her every action will bear consequences. There is time and place to do things. There are rules and limitations which she should follow as she also enjoys the freedom on something she is allowed to do so.

This offense will infuriate her mom, so she was scared of being found out. To the extent of cutting all her allowance and making her earn her own pocket money, which might not only for a specific time if her actions today reach the bottom line of her mom’s patience, she might even be disowned and shunned from this home!

She just mentioned six months to be pitiful in Nick’s eyes, but she was sure as she knew her mom too well, six months is the least of her worries.

“I think you need to learn a lesson from that mistake. I am not your brother “legally”,” Nick put stress on the last word. “To discipline you, so I should at least let your mom know about it,” he said casually.

Kate panicked.

“Please, please, I can be your slave for a whole month if you want. I can clean your house and do your laundry or anything,” Kate kneeled before Nick, who was sitting with his legs crossed, one above the other.

“You’ll be grounded for half a year if I tell your mom, but I only get a month if I keep your secret?” Nick was astounded. This girl is either very smart or very stupid to think that he would agree with her bargain. He was about to stand and just leave her when Kate grabbed his left leg and wrapped her arms around it.

“Six months! I will be your housemaid for six months! Please, please?” Kate was alarmed when he stood up from his seat. She mindlessly grabbed hold of him. Unaware that when she looked up to see his face, her view was too ambiguous in Nick’s eyes.

Her face was almost to his front bottom.

For a moment, Nick’s mind went wild. But he quickly rejected such stupid thoughts, and his face turned even more annoyed.

“Stand up!” He pulled Kate on her feet. “I’m so disappointed with you,” Nick felt his anger overwhelming him with reasons he could not even fathom. He needed to get a grip of his sanity and walk away from her.

Nick had no objections to his dad marrying Kelly Taylor. She is a fine woman. She is refined and decent in every way that Nick had never felt any negative emotion towards the lady his dad decided to marry after so many years of being a single parent to him. Nick did not object when he was told Kelly had a daughter out of wedlock. His dad showed him every detail of Kelly’s information, her background, and the pre-nuptial document she insisted they sign before filing for a marriage certificate. Nick realized Kelly was respectable and respected her and accepted her as a woman his dad deserved to be happy within his last years in life. Nick also knew his dad would not make it to live long as his colon cancer was worsening, so he wanted to gran every wish his dad asked of him. With or without the pre-nuptial agreement, which stated that Kelly would not receive more than ten percent of his father’s wealth if Elijah ever passed away, Nick would still agree if his dad wanted to marry Kelly and adopt her daughter Kate. He was furious when Kate disagreed with being adopted legally as Nick knew it saddened his dad. But that was before he personally met the girl. Kate was fifteen, and Nick was nineteen when Kelly and Elijah got married. That was also when the step-siblings met. Nick was mesmerized to see Kate for the first time. She resembled Kelly but, Kate was no doubt more beautiful in Nick’s eyes. He wished she was someone else. Someone he can boldly approach to be more than a brother to her. He even realized he was thankful she did not agree to be his adopted sister. As if that was his last hope to still have a chance to be with her someday if fate and heavens allow them to be what he wants them to be.

He had been trying to hide his feelings for Kate all these years because he knew how Kelly felt about men in general when it comes to sensuality. He was also glad the mother had raised her daughter well despite ugly circumstances in their lives. Nick never showed his feelings for Kate, but he has always been watchful of her safety and needs. He never showed it, but as a brother, Nick is always around to support her in everything, even though he always appeared melancholic and unaffectionate around her. He moved to live on his own because he was no longer confident he could keep his facade as he watched her grow even more and more beautiful. Kate’s physique became even more voluptuous as she grew older. He cannot avoid masturbating with Kate in his mind while feeling guilty for Kelly, his step-mom, who is on the same roof as him. Nick is the one who suggested and enrolled Kate to attend extra lessons to prepare for her college entrance exams. Kelly was thankful as she became too busy with many things for Elijah and did not think about such an idea Nick had offered for her daughter.

Nick became too busy after his dad passed away. He did not notice Kate having a boyfriend or inviting boys to come over to their home. He was murderous when she saw her with a guy earlier, and he was honest to say he was disappointed with her. He was not sure when Kate changed. She is an obedient daughter. Why would she do something that her mom would feel furious about? But he calmed down when he realized that Kate did not know anything about her mom’s traumatic experience. She was told her dad died in an accident before her parents got the chance to be married, so she has her mom’s maiden name.

Kate bowed her head. Nick is not an easy person to get along with. He never smiled at her, no matter if she initiated to be friendly. He never fought with her, but he is just too cold when it comes to her. She was losing hope of him helping her keep the issue a secret to her mom. She could not help but pitifully cry before Nick. She felt doomed. One mistake and her life will be over.

“I know I was wrong. I swear I won’t do it again even if my friends tease me at school,” Kate got a hold of his right arm and wrapped her arms around it as she cried helplessly.

“What do you mean?” Nick froze from his feet and turned to look at her with fierce eyes.

Is she being bullied at school? Kate used to study in a different environment, and being transferred to a regular school could be difficult for her. He had been guarding her from afar, but as he became busy lately, he neglected about it, or he was confident she had adjusted already. He was shocked to hear her say she is being teased. School bullying is unbearable. He knew it himself. Not that he was bullied during his days, it was that he was friends with the bullies. There was no care of genders. Bullies only see the weak and vulnerable.
