Chapter 103: Chapter 103

The call got connected, and just like Jack had ordered firmly, Blake did not make any sound. He even covered the mouthpiece to make sure no sound would be heard from his side for the one calling Charles Anderson's phone.

"Why the fuck are your men too slow?! Why is that fucking old man Michaelson's grandson still not in my hand!?" A throaty barking voice pierced Blake's eardrums.

Blake remained silent. He was trying to check if he would get to recognize whose voice he was listening to. But no matter how he checked his sharp memory, he could not point anyone among people he knew or could consider as might ever be, even for as weak as a guess.

"Make sure to tell your men not to disappoint me, or I will be the one to shoot their families in between their eyes, one by one!"

The call was cut off right away. Blake Gordon was shocked to hear the last words the caller said.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" He cursed again and again as he did not know which to turn. He grabbed his hair in great annoyance at the man lying on the bed.

"What the hell is going on, Charles?"

Blake was so frustrated and his loud groaning in the room where the patient has attracted attention from his comrades.

"What's going on?" asked Max Beckett, the very first one among his six men left that came inside to check on Charles.

Andrew Hoggins also came in. He asked the first guy in the room.

"Max, what is going on?" His eyes turned to the team leader he did not notice was already in the room. "Blake?"

Blake was still swamped with anger and annoyance from what he had just discovered when his phone started ringing.

"Blake, I know where the caller is located. But I am afraid we will need B's help to get in and rescue everyone. We don't have time, but I also don't know how to approach your Boss B easily. Can you guys help me think of a way?" Jack did not beat around the bush. He heard every word the caller said earlier. He was able to track the GPS location, but when he checked the map on the satellite map locator's view, he found out the area was almost similar to a military base camp in a high mountain location. With Blake and his team, they might get trapped easily as they were emotionally involved. They were desperate to rescue the captives kept in a highly secured facility building. To ensure the success of this mission, they needed Brianna to take the lead.

Blake closed his eyes.

"Jack, can I call you back in about five minutes or so? I will brief my men first, then gather to brainstorm ideas on how to solve the matters accordingly," Blake let his gaze travel around his men. They will get the idea of his words even when he was still speaking with Jack Foster over the phone. He waited for Jack to confirm he would wait for Blake's call, then turned to his comrades.

"To the meeting table, now," Blake clenched his jaw as he ordered. He exhaled fiercely as he glared at Charles, who was still unconscious and asleep on the bed.

Everyone was curious, but as they knew Blake would tell them what was going on, no one said a word. They obediently followed his command. Some even walked ahead to sit at the table while waiting for Blake to arrive. When he was sure everyone was seated properly, he told his men that it might not be Charles keeping their families as hostages. But since Blake or jack could not tell who the caller was, they have no idea who they are dealing with right now. Blake also informed them what Jack told him on the last call. That they needed Boss B's help to rescue their families, and they have to find a way to approach her without being killed, thinking they were after her or the young Michaelson. All his men were surprised.

"Why would Charles keep such information from us?" Asked Ramil Finn.

"We do not know, and we might have to deal knowing that later when the old fox wakes up, right now, we have to get close to Boss B and ask her help," Blake replied.

"I guess she wouldn't say no to us, right?" Andrew exclaimed. His heart was filled with hope.

"The problem is, she might be suffering from memory loss. Didn't you notice how she reacted with every one of us when she came to pay us a visit from the back door?" The team leader stated a doubt he had in his mind.

"So, how are we going to talk to her if she doesn't remember us?" Max worriedly asked. He was the newest guy in the group. He had seen how fierce Boss B could be. He respects her with fear. He even asked Charles Anderson if he could pass when they were told Boss B was doubted to be compromised. That they cannot count on her because she works for the other party now.

"That is what we have to help Jack Foster figure out. He knows where she is. He can guide us on what to do to approach her with safety," Blake explained. He himself was hoping his words could be as reliable as he made them sound to be. Keeping his positive thoughts rule his chaotic mind, Blake called Jack again.

"Guys, she is at home now, but I believe she will not stay there for the night," Jack spoke with urgency as soon as he was told he was on loudspeaker. "And she has company. The young Michaelson and the driver that is always with them," Jack added.

"Can you reach out to her like connect us to a phone call?" Jules Lopez calmly suggested.

"And what do you want to say?" Asked Jack. He was not against the idea. It might be good if they could connect with her and convince her that they were not enemies.

"The truth. We can tell her we work for her, and we did not know the mission until she shot Charles Anderson," Jules stated his thoughts for everyone to hear.

Everyone agreed, including Jack, that the best way to get into her is through honesty and clear intentions. They might fool her for a while, if they can, but the retribution to that is unimaginable.

"We will give our words to assist her in protecting the Michaelson, but in order to do that, we have to save our families first," Chad Yates added.

"They are having dinner at B's place. Do you think you can move there as soon as possible? You might need to show yourselves to prove your words," Jack stated his words clearly. He knew well words do not count for Brianna. She will need to see the honesty of their intentions with her own eyes. And since they are in a limited time before they can make sure their families are safely rescued, they need to move as soon as possible.

"Do we have to gear up?" Asked Will Garrett with subtle wariness.

"I don't think that would be a good idea," Blake chimed in. "She might think we are there to attack. If that happens, we might not get any chance to explain our side to her."

Everyone nodded their head. They cannot provoke Boss B in any way, or that will be no less than playing a perilous and no-way-to-win stupid game.

"You can bring some, but leave them in the car when you are given a chance to get close to her," Jack advised. "I will make a call and introduce myself. Then I will tell her you guys are her men, and you did not know about Charles' plans ending both of you fighting, losing some of her men in the process," Jack added.

"Do not forget. She is suffering from memory loss, but her routine and habits have not changed. She will easily recall being connected with you," Jack firmly reminded them. "Never give her even the tiniest reason to doubt any of you. She might be more overprotective now that she cannot remember many things from her past. Or it might be fatal for anyone if she starts to doubt any of you," Jack warned them sensibly.
