While returning from the hospital after Abeer's regular checkup it's already evening time. The sky was full of twinkling stars and the moon was ready to shower his moonlight on the people. The weather was really pleasing and the fresh cold breeze blowing was making the atmosphere more enjoyable.
"Hey! Khushi, can we sit there at the park for a few minutes as we were walking for half an hour continuously without any break.", Abeer questioned, looking really tired due to his health.
"Oh! I am really very sorry Arnan. I totally forgot that you need to take some rest in between. I was just lost in my own world of thoughts. Let's go, we will take a small break and then again start walking as we have to reach home also.", Khushi said.
They both went to the park which was near to them and sat quietly at the bench. The atmosphere was calm and the weather was cool enough.
" I think it's the right time to talk to her about her past. Maybe I can get some information related to her. I should talk to her."Abeer thought in his mind, analyzing the situation.
"Well, Khushi What's your future plans? I mean neither you have any fiancee nor any boyfriend. You live alone. No one from your family even calls you to ask about your life and how you are doing. How are you going to spend your life then?"Abeer asked out of nowhere, making Khushi turn towards him, making a long eye contact.
Khushi broke eye contact and started looking towards the sky with a pleasant smile on her face.
" You know Arnan, since my childhood my life was a mess. The day I took my first breath in this world was the day my mother took her last one. People started saying that I was a bad omen so my family also started hating me except my father. He always treated me like a princess but his family started forcing him to get remarried again for my better upbringing and future.
And that was the biggest mistake of my father's life which he committed and till now I am regretting."Khushi started crying harshly remembering her past and Abeer held her in his embrace to calm her down.
Khushi hides her face in his chest trying to hide her tears from him. She was sobbing very badly and Abeer could not see her like this for long so he chose to avoid further discussion on that topic for now.
"That means my doubt is right. She had a past that made her situation in the present like that. Not now, but I will definitely find out the problem and help her with the solution to overcome her past experience." Abeer made a mental note in his mind.
"Hey! Look there… Ice Cream …Wooww … Come on let's have one."Abeer faked excitement, trying to divert her mind from the incident.
Khushi looked at Abeer with red tear eyes and a running nose.
"Are you mad? Doctor has strictly advised you to take precautions and here you are demanding an ice cream in this cold weather.", Khushi started scolding him, forgetting about her totally.
Abeer knew this, that is why he showed fake excitement for an ice cream to divert her mind and seriously his trick worked.

"Neil, my child. Today I am so happy for you. Your grandfather is waiting for you in the study room.",Mrs.Ember declared as soon as she saw him entering the villa on her mobile screen.
"Happy for me? And why is grandpa waiting for me? Now what complaint does he have regarding me?"Neil questioned, looking confused.
"Why are you always in such a hurry, honey? There is nothing like that as you are thinking. I have talked with your grandfather to strengthen your position as you know that the " Mafia Ceremony" will be going to be held in a few months. And in absence of your brother it's your responsibility to manage everything on your own."Mrs.Ember explained everything to Neil.
Neil was shocked at first because even he knew how hard it is for anyone to make his grandfather change his decision and replace his favorite grandson Abeer with Neil.
But even he knew that only his grandmother would do this magic because she loves him more than anything. And she will go against everyone just for Neil's happiness.
"Thank you… Thank you soo soo much Grandma. I know only you care for my happiness in this home. I knew that just like an angel you will move your stick and the magic will happen."Neil came running and hugged his grandmother tightly in pure happiness.
"I did my side of the job. Now it's your turn, dear. Prove your worth in front of your Grandfather's eyes and make them believe you are the right choice for that position and no one will do that work better than you. I have done my side of magic and now it's your turn to surprise everyone with your performance, "Mrs. Ember said, patting her grandson's shoulder.
" Don't worry Grandma now you will not get any complaints from my side. In Fact you would get proud of me after seeing my work. Let me show you and everyone else out there how talented I am. ", Neil said confidently, wearing his blue shades of goggles and made his way towards his Grandfather's study room.
Neil thought he could easily replace Abeer's position by showing up but he did not know that he actually invited trouble to himself and it's not going to be an easy journey for him as the path to reach his destination is full of hurdles that would be really difficult to cross.
He was unaware of the fact that the brother whom he was thinking of as dead is alive and ready to take his revenge as soon as he gets the chance.
Now it will be interesting to see who will win this match and who will become the next heir of "Malhotra empire"?
