Chapter 62: Chapter 62

Why are you acting like a teacher who wants to teach a lesson to me?", Khushi questioned suspiciously.

"I am not here to teach you a lesson. Instead as a good friend I am warning you at the right time otherwise all you would have is regret. Nothing else.", Christian warned looking straight into her eyes.

Christian's words started ringing in her mind making her speechless because she had no answer to his questions. Somewhere she knew Christian's question was making sense which she did not want to accept.

After Christian's departure Khushi was sitting alone in the room, lost in her own world of thoughts as she was trying to analyze everything that her friend suggested to her.

Suddenly her bedroom door unlocked and Abeer made his way towards her. Abeer found that Khushi was lost in her own chain of thoughts as she did not notice his presence towards her.

"What was she thinking so deeply that she didn't notice me?", Abeer thought in his mind, sitting comfortably on the couch next to Khushi.

"Hhmm.. Aheemm..", Abeer faked a cough to bring Khushi's attention back to him.

"Mr. Stranger, when did you come? Sorry I did not notice your arrival. Do you need something?", Khushi asked, coming out of her chain of thoughts.

"How will you notice me when you are already lost in your world of thoughts? By the way may I ask what were you thinking so deeply?", Abeer questioned back trying to know what was going on in her mind.

"Umm.. Nothing.. I was just.. I was just tired.", Khushi stuttered, trying to make an excuse to escape from the situation.

"Really Khushi? Do you really think I am going to believe your lie?"Abeer questioned, looking straight into her eyes, making her shocked and surprised at the same time.

"What? What are you trying to say?", Khushi's eyes popped out in shock.

"It's clear from your facial expression that something is troubling you and making you uncomfortable. I was noticing it for a long time and I think you discussed that problem with your friend, Christian too. That only means that you don't trust me or don't find myself capable enough to solve your problem. And in both cases it was a shame for me that living with you for such a long time still didn't make you feel comfortable in my presence. That's why instead of sharing your problems with me, you are hiding them from me. ", Abeer confessed, feeling hurted with pain visible on his face.

" No.. No.. I.. I.. ", Khushi stuttered feeling shocked at his confession. She was out of words.

She did not expect her Mr. Stranger to be that bold who confessed his feelings so easily in front of her without any hesitation.

She was not ready for that confession that's why she got numb for sometime before explaining what was actually going on in her mind.

Seeing her silent for long, Abeer thought he made a mistake by opening his feelings so much in front of her so he rose from his seat to leave her alone.

But suddenly he turned when he felt someone was holding his wrist from behind to stop him from going.

Abeer looked back only to see Khushi signaling him to sit down beside her.

And he sat down without questioning her. Even he did not know why he was obliging her without questioning because that was not his nature.

If someone makes him feel like that he immediately punishes them and makes them realize their mistake so that next time they don't dare to behave like that.

But here the case was just the opposite. Noone would believe that he was the same Abeer whose name was enough to make someone shiver on their own hearing his name.

"I am sorry.", Khushi apologized with guilty eyes.

"Sorry? For what?", Abeer questioned back with a confusing expression.

"For hurting you Mr. Stranger. I never had bad intentions for you. I did not realize my behavior would indirectly hurt you and it would affect your health too. But all I was trying to make you stay away from my stress.", Khushi confessed, finally closing her eyes.

" Your stress? What kind of stress? ", Abeer questioned trying to figure out the situation.

" Actually the place where I have been working for so long was going to be demolished and someone else was going to take over them. So in short my job is in danger. Now I am worried that If I lost my job, how am I going to manage everything? I mean I am looking for other places where I can apply but till now I don't find anything suitable for me to work. I have my savings so we can manage for sometime but after that I am afraid how will we survive? ", Khushi asked with teary eyes and hurtful voice, pain clearly visible on her face.

" Oh! My god I was so lost in my mission to find out the traitor and all that I forgot how she would manage everything and even my responsibility too on her shoulder with such a small paying job. In Fact, I became a burden on her. It was her kindness that she did not make me feel like that since day one but something like humanity does exist. How could I become so cruel on her? I was solving only my problems without thinking once about how much she had suffered just because of my expenses.

In Spite of that I got jealous with Christian when I found her sharing her problems with him and even talked with her so rudely making her cry for hiding this from me. How will she share that to me? ", Abeer questioned himself in his heart, feeling angry at himself.

"That's it?"Abeer questioned, looking straight into her eyes, making her surprised too.

"That's it? You think it's a small problem? Do you have any idea what I am saying to you?"Khushi questioned the back confusion visible on her face.

"Well when it comes to ideas I always have a great one that will make someone rich instantly. It is just that I don't like to share them with everyone. But seriously Khushi, you were so worried about such a small problem. If you came to me I would have given you a perfect solution for that at that very moment and then you don't have to take that much stress for such a long time. ", Abeer declared, squeezing her hand in assurance.

" What? Seriously? Do you really have an idea for that please tell me, No? ", Khushi's eyes glittered with happiness and finally she smiled, making Abeer's heartbeat at a very fast rate seeing her smiling face.
