Khushi knocked on the door so that she would say sorry for her reaction on their kitchen's incident. But to her surprise, the door was already unlocked so she open it slowly and came inside to wake up him from his deep sleep.
The moment she entered the room, her breath got hitched in her throat because all she could see in front of her eyes was darkness. Her haunting past memories started coming in front of her eyes one by one making her numb at her place. She wanted to breathe but unfortunately she could not making her feel suffocated.
She wanted to breathe some air so she turned around to left the place and get herself some light so that she would feel normal.
But Abeer blocked her way out of nowhere by holding her hands tightly in his and suddenly, she started feeling comfortable due to his mere presence around her.
"Plea. Please. . Mr. Stranger let me go.. You know I can't tolerate darkness. I can't stay here.", Khushi stuttered in her quivering voice.
"I know you have a fear of darkness Khushi but if you give me one chance I want you to see the reason behind this darkness.", Abeer said closing the gap between them holding her hands tightly like he would never leave it whatever the situation would be.
Sometimes we all need some kind of support, some kind of motivation when we are going through our worse because we don't have any other choice then to fight alone and let the fear build inside us slowly and slowly that one day it will become too large burden for you to carry.
Khushi's heartbeat was thumping loudly in her chest which could be easily audible by Abeer too due to their proximity. Khushi could feel Abeer's hot breath near her making her body calm in a way, even she did not understand.
"Will you please give me one chance to hold you hand and let your fear don't overcome you?", Abeer whispered near Khushi's ear.
Khushi was losing her sense witnessing her proximity with Abeer. These feelings were totally new for her and these unknown feelings were giving her a tingling sensation to her body. She did not realise when she nodded to Abeer's request and her approval made Abeer's face lit up with happiness.
He pulled her to his side letting her head rest on his shoulder and she suddenly closed her eyes due to the sudden movement.
"Now without asking any further question just come with me if you trust me otherwise you can deny completely I won't mind. The choice is all yours.", Abeer declared holding her in his arms securely.
"I don't know why I put this condition of trusting me or not in front of her. But I really want to know if she really trust me with her heart or not. May be all she is doing for me right now is due to her helping nature or due to her favour on me which I mistakenly took as care and concern for me. ", Abeer thought in his mind.
Khushi's silence was answering his question and it hurted him seeing that she doesn't trust him. Abeer was going to loosen his grip on her hands.
But of nowhere Khushi's action made his sad face into a jovial one.
When she tightened her grip on his and said, " Yes, I trust you Mr. Stranger. I know you're still a stranger for me. A mystery yet to be solved. But from the day we both were together you never did anything with me which would makes me uncomfortable at first place and somewhere right now you're the reason that I can withstand this darkness because you are holding my hands tightly to overcome my this fear and making me feel secure and comfortable around you.
Khushi's confession made Abeer's heart melted and tears of happiness soon made their way in his eyes.
"Oh my God! Am I dreaming or what? The Great Mafia leader who only knew how to made someone cry and plead to escape from their punishment is himself here crying for a girl? I can smell there is something fishy here.", Abeer's mind spoke to Abeer.
"Oh! Come on.. You stupid mind.. You only know how to control your brain. But let me tell you these emotions, these feelings which someone feel are all because of me. I let them believe in love, care, efforts and every feelings any human could easily feel. You don't even know the basics of them so just stay away and mind your own business. ", Abeer's heart replied proudly.
" See Who is telling these things.. The one who made us feel heartbroken, hatred, depressed at a times that humans started hating themselves. I am warning you Abeer don't let your heart overcome your mind. Let me dominate otherwise you'll regret.", Abeer's mind warned Abeer.
" And who are you to dominate me? Do you have any sense how to balance your heart and mind simultaneously? Do you have any idea why people started feeling like a love sick puppy when they fall in love? ", Abeer's heart asked Abeer's mind.
"Yeah.. I know.. Because they let the other person act like a puppy who will follow thier master wagging their tail blindly.", Abeer's mind replied smirking.
"You.. I will kill you.. How dare you?", Abeer's heart started protesting.
And soon their was a war going to be start soon between Abeer's heart and his mind. But thank god Abeer came in between them on time and stopped them.
"Just shut up both of you. And get lost from here.", Abeer shouted, frustrated from hearing their conversation from a long time.
Abeer's loud voice made Khushi flinched at her place in fear and she started staring at Abeer in confusion.
"What you want me to get lost from here? But you're the one who invited me here Mr. Stranger?", Khushi asked in annoyance making Abeer realised that he shouted in real not in his mind.
