Chapter 113: Chapter 113

"I was thinking to stop that deal in the middle, Mom because if Abeer bro gets to know that behind his back, I was planning to sell his Mother's property he will kill me for sure.", Neil suggested looking into her Mom's eyes.

"It seems a good decision, Neil. Finally, you started making good decisions in your life after doing so much wrong.", Abeer spoke from behind, making everyone present there turn to look at him.

"Abeer? My son.. How are you, dear? You don't have any idea how much I missed you, son?", Alexia faked happiness in her voice and tears in her eyes to welcome him back.

"Stop there Aunt Alexia. You really don't need to show off your fake tears in front of me, especially. I know all of your intentions very well.", Abeer said, smirking.

Neil, Alexia and Logan get numb at their place witnessing him.

Abeer started moving towards Neil slowly making Neil flinch at his place in fear.

"You really well know how much I love my Mom and I don't think I have to remind you of this again and again. So dare you touch her any belongings, I will break your hands there at that very moment. Don't take it as a warning, because next time I will not warn you with my words but will take action against you, on the spot. ", Abeer threatened to close the distance between them.

" I.. Bro.. I ", Neil stuttered.

" Do you work sincerely brother. Try to be honest towards everything otherwise all you do is to regret your entire life. ", Abeer suggested, touching his cheeks like a small baby.

"Sorry, brother.", Neil apologized instantly.

"You better be.", Abeer warned and turned himself in to meet his grandmother and grandfather who were waiting for him excitedly in their room.

As Khushi entered her house, a heavy silence enveloped her.

She requested Christian to leave her alone for sometime as she did not want to talk to him right at that moment so Christian dropped her safely at her apartment and went from there.

The familiar surroundings that once brought comfort now seemed hauntingly empty.

The absence of any signs of life echoed her own solitude, magnifying the emptiness that had settled in her heart.

The door closed behind her with a hushed thud, emphasizing the isolation she now faced.

Standing there, memories began to flood her mind like a torrential rain.

Every laughter-filled moment, every shared secret, every touch of camaraderie with Arnan flashed before her eyes.

It was astonishing how a man who had entered her life as a stranger had seamlessly woven himself into her world.

She could almost hear his voice echoing in the quiet corners of the room, each memory etching itself deeper into her consciousness.

But amidst the flood of reminiscences, there was a jarring absence. Arnan's sudden departure had left an unfathomable void.

The fact that he had slipped away without so much as a goodbye left a bitter taste in her mouth.

She had opened her heart and home to him, offering her assistance without hesitation, and he had walked away without a trace, leaving her feeling abandoned and betrayed.

As Khushi's mind continued to spiral through the labyrinth of memories, a gnawing regret began to take root.

Doubts crept in, gnashing at the edges of her thoughts like persistent shadows. Was it a mistake to have extended her hand to him?

Did he ever truly deserve her help? The sense of disillusionment tugged at her, mingling with the sense of abandonment, creating a cocktail of emotions that churned within her.

"I should not let him into my house. It was my mistake that I let him affect me so much. I should not get attached to him in the first place.",Khushi realized, a lone tear escaping from her eyes.

In the midst of this internal turmoil, Khushi couldn't help but wonder if she had been too trusting, too quick to open her heart.

As the weight of her feelings settled upon her shoulders, she found herself grappling with the complex interplay of emotions—affection, longing, anger, and regret.

The once-vibrant memories now seemed tinged with a sense of melancholy, a stark reminder that not all chapters of life conclude with closure, and not all bonds remain unbroken.

"I can't believe that you think about me like this, Arnan. I thought we were good friends until you cleared my doubt today. I can't believe you see me as a person who will run after your money.", Khushi said to herself, adjusting on the couch.

She switched on the lights, trying to look at herself in the mirror.

Khushi stood before the mirror, her eyes red and puffy from crying.

The delicate trails of tears marked her cheeks like glistening paths on a dewy morning.

Her disheveled hair clung to her damp forehead, framing her face in a way that seemed to accentuate the raw emotion she had just experienced.

The reflection staring back at her appeared fragile, a stark contrast to her usual vibrant and cheerful self.

As her gaze met her own eyes, she saw a swirl of emotions that seemed to dance within the depths of her irises.

There was a mixture of sadness, vulnerability, and a hint of frustration, as if she was searching for answers within her own reflection.

"Nor did for once he thought to meet me, one last time before leaving my life." Khushi questioned sadly.

The once-bright spark in her eyes had dimmed, replaced by a shadow of the pain she had been through.

Her trembling lips, still slightly quivering from the outpouring of emotions, held a silent testament to the storm that had raged within her.

A sense of exhaustion weighed heavily on her shoulders, as if the act of crying had taken both a physical and emotional toll.

Yet, there was a certain strength that radiated from her, a resilience that whispered of her ability to overcome even the darkest of moments.

Khushi's fingers grazed the cool surface of the mirror, tracing the contours of her face as if trying to understand the person she saw before her.

She longed for a sense of solace, a way to mend the pieces of her heart that felt shattered. The mirror seemed to hold the echo of her tears, a silent witness to the emotions she had poured out.

And as Khushi continued to gaze at her reflection, a glimmer of recognition began to take shape.

"Before he came into my life, I was handling things on my own. I don't need him in my life. After all he was just a stranger to me, who spent some time with me and then moved on in his life. Why was that fact affecting me so much?

Didn't I know earlier that he would leave me one day all alone. He was not in my family so I don't have any rights to him. Neither do I have to expect anything from him. It's good that he left me without informing me otherwise it may be difficult for me to say goodbye by my own. After all, he secured a place in my heart. ", Khushi said, wiping her tears." It's better for me to forget about him and move on in my life too. ", She added.

The corners of her lips twitched, hinting at a tentative smile that gradually transformed into something more genuine.

It was a subtle reminder that even in her moments of vulnerability, she possessed an inner strength that could guide her through the storm.

With a deep breath, Khushi wiped away the remaining tears and straightened her posture.

The reflection in the mirror seemed to stand a little taller, a little stronger.

The trials of the moment hadn't defined her; they had merely added another layer to the complex tapestry of her being.

As she walked away from the mirror, a newfound sense of resolve settled within her, a testament to her ability to face adversity and emerge with an unwavering spirit.
