Roselet was sitting on her bed with the support of pillows behind, lost in her own world of thoughts.

"I miss you so much Abeer bro. Everyone here knows how special you were to me. But no one knows the reason behind it. If that day you would not save me, then I would not be here today.", Roselet said to herself in her mind.

#Flashback_Started

When Logan and his family were thrown out of the villa by his father, for planning and plotting against them. Their whole world turned upside-down.

" We have no place to live, Logan. Now what would we do? Where will we go with our children?", Alexia asked, looking at Neil and Roselet who were standing silently behind them.

"I don't know, Alexia. Even though I am numb at this place. Don't know where to go?", Logan questioned looking at his wife.

"Wait, I have an idea. Why don't we go to my parents' place? After all that was also my home.", Alexia said, curiously.

"No. We can't go there, Alexia. If your father gets to know that we were planning murder my father and transfer his whole property in my name, he will send us to jail for sure without thinking twice. After all he was my father's best friend.", Logan suggested.

" Umm.. I think you are right Logan. We can't take the risk at the moment. How about we go to our friend's place for a short time? ", Alexia questioned, trying to help him.

" That's a good idea. And for this Mr. Jack will help us for sure. Let's go.", Logan said, picking their luggage on his shoulders.

They reached their place and as expected Mr. Jack helped him by letting him stay at his house for a few days before he arranged another home for them.

Roselet and Neil were playing in the garden when suddenly Neil went inside to have some soft drinks, leaving Roselet alone there.

Roselet was a small child that time around 7 to 8 years old so she was enjoying herself in her own company before her eyes landed on the beautiful rabbit who was running on the roadside area, where heavy traffic was going on.

Roselet wanted to play with the rabbit so she went there taking small baby steps.

Two goons who were keeping an eye on her to catch her in their trap by putting the rabbit there smirked, seeing her coming to their side.

Vehicles were running at full speed and baby Roselet was unaware of that. Her life was in risk but she was busy gazing at the rabbit who was on the other side of the road.

When Neil came out he found Roselet missing then he started shouting her name loudly.

When the goons found that Roselet was crossing the road without any safety, one of them came running towards her to carry her in his arms and ran from there.

A bus in full speed was coming from behind as the driver was drunk. He did not see Roselet and was about to hit him.

Neil's eyes popped out viewing the scene in front of him. He got scared and started screaming her name to stop her.

One of the goons got shocked thinking now the girl was going to die for sure as he could not reach there on time too.

But the little girl was saved by her elder brother, Abeer who was coincidentally passing from there and ran to save her when his eyes landed on her sister.

"Hey! Boy, give this girl to me.", One of the goons said, gritting his teeths, looking at them.

"Noway. How dare you come near her?", Abeer questioned, carrying baby Roselet in his arms safely.

Neil also came there running to check on his sister.

"Give it to me. Otherwise the consequences would be bad to both of you.", The goon said, putting a knife on Abeer's stomach and took them from the crowded area to a place where there was no one to help them.

Neil was sacred as well as Roselet but Abeer as their elder brother was standing between the goons and his cousin as a protecting wall.

"Leave this girl here or otherwise I'll shoot both of you and take the girl with me.", One of the goons warned Neil.

"No.. No.. Please don't do this to me. You want my sister to just take her with you. I won't protest. But don't kill me.", Neil pleaded, getting on his knees.

Roselet was shocked witnessing the situation where her own brother was ready to exchange her to save his own life.

" Good. That's like a good boy. ", The goon said and started coming in Abeer's direction to take her from his arms.

Abeer was a teenager that time but his love for his family was something else.

The moment the goon appeared in front of him he hit the goon on his stomach with his leg, carrying Roselet in her arms safely.

The goon fell on the floor and Abeer gave Roselet to Neil to fight with the other goons.

Abeer was trained in martial arts so it was easy for him to handle them but when the goon became impatient in anger, one of them aimed at Abeer with his gun.

"Neil, just run away with Rose. Don't look back.", Abeer ordered glaring at the goons dangerously.

Neil, without resisting his brother's order, started running from there leaving Abeer behind.

"Hey! Let me catch them otherwise the girl will become out of our hands.", One of the goons said, looking at their retreating figures.

But Abeer made sure that both of them won't chase his cousins so he grabbed their attention towards him by hitting them with his elbow.

" Ouch! It's painful. ", One of the goons said, giving death glares to Abeer.

But when the situation got out of control they decided to kill Abeer and shot their bullet aiming at him.

The bullet went straight to one of his hands and he screamed, feeling the pain as blood started oozing out.

"Aaahhh!!!", Abeer screamed in pain.

"Shit. I miss the shot. Let me aim at his head now so that there won't be any chance of his being alive."The goon said, smirking.

With this the goon aimed at his head and was about to shoot when he heard the cop's siren and they both feared being caught by the cops so they ran from the spot leaving the wounded Abeer behind in pain.

" Thankgod, I saved both of them. Otherwise, I won't be able to forgive myself if something happened to them.",Abeer said to himself looking at the sky and soon darkness consumed him.

"That day you won my heart brother. You made me realize the importance of love between family members.

That day when Neil bro, took me home he made me a promise that we won't tell this accident to anyone otherwise, you'll be scolded by our grandfather for being in touch with us even after he announced his separation with us.

So I did not share the accident with anyone. But that made me realize that my own brother who was related to me with blood was ready to sacrifice me for his life.

And you, my cousin brother with whom I am not related to blood, was ready to sacrifice his own life to save me from the goons. That day you earned my love and respect for you.

That's the reason I was not able to say something, to walk on my own after your departure from my life without any prior notice. ", Roselet talked to herself in her heart. Tears continuously flowing from her eyes.
