Chapter 103: Chapter 103

The air was thick with uncertainty, and Neil's heart weighed heavy with confusion. He stood in a dimly lit room, the shadows dancing menacingly on the walls.

As he strained his eyes, he caught a glimpse of a figure approaching him, their face obscured by a smoky veil.

Something about her presence felt both familiar and distant, like a long-forgotten memory trying to resurface.

Neil's heart skipped a beat as he realized it was the girl he had loved, her features shrouded in an impenetrable fog.

They had once shared moments of joy and affection, dreaming of a future entwined together.

They had spoken of their aspirations, whispered promises of love, and imagined the life they would build after marriage.

But now, all those dreams seemed like fragments of a shattered reality.

In this nightmarish haze, the girl's voice trembled with anguish as she accused Neil of hurting her and breaking her trust.

His mind raced, searching for answers in the depths of his muddled memories.

How could he have unknowingly caused her pain? What had led to this betrayal?

But try as he might, Neil couldn't grasp the clarity he desperately sought.

The girl's accusations echoed in his ears, each word piercing his soul.

He reached out to touch her, to plead for understanding, but his hand passed through the ethereal mist that enveloped her.

The more he tried to explain, the more she retreated, fading away into the shadows.

Desperation consumed Neil as he watched the love he once held so dear slip through his fingers.

The room around him spun in disarray, mirroring the chaos in his heart. The blurry scene twisted and contorted, reflecting the anguish of his shattered dreams.

Neil stood alone, his heart heavy with regret and sorrow.

The girl he had loved had vanished into the mist, leaving him with unanswered questions and a sense of profound loss.

As reality seeped back into his consciousness, he found himself gasping for air, shaken by the haunting phantom of a love that had slipped away.

Neil found himself in a surreal world where the lines between reality and a hazy nightmare blurred.

In the hush of the night, Neil's racing heartbeat gradually subsided as he came to realize that it was all just a dream, a figment of his imagination.

With a deep, steadying breath, he whispered reassuring words to himself, attempting to quell the lingering anxiety that had gripped him moments ago.

"Calm down, Neil, it was just a dream like always you used to have.", Neil said softly, as if his own voice could act as a soothing balm to his troubled mind.

Beads of sweat glistened on his forehead and trickled down his temple, evidence of the intense fear that had gripped him during his sleep.

Feeling suffocated, he instinctively reached for his T-shirt and hastily pulled it over his head, peeling away the fabric that seemed to hold the lingering horrors of his dream.

As the cool air caressed his bare chest, he could feel a sense of relief washing over him.

However, his attention was quickly drawn to a distinctive tattoo adorning his skin. Nestled inside a heart shape, the elegant and bold letter "A" stood out, etched permanently into his flesh.

The tattoo held a special significance for Neil, representing someone or something that had deeply impacted his life.

Its presence served as a constant reminder of a past love or a profound connection that had left an indelible mark on his heart.

He started running his finger over that area and closed his eyes immediately as he want to re live those memories again.

"I never want to confess it but I still love you, sweetheart. I don't know if you still remember me or not! Miss me like crazy or not! Remember me in your memories or not but I still miss you. I still remember you and ofcourse I still love you, not just for today but forever. Until the end of my breath. ", Neil talked to himself and a slight smile appeared on his face.

As the minutes passed, Neil's heartbeat steadied further, and the tension in his body eased.

The weight of the nightmare gradually lifted, replaced by a newfound sense of calmness and perspective.

He understood that dreams could be reflections of his subconscious mind, sometimes unravelling hidden emotions and fears, but they need not define his waking reality.

He took his mobile from the side table and started searching for something in it and got panicked when he did not find it there.

"Oh! No I saved the picture here in my gallery then where it get disappeared suddenly?", Neil started scrolling and searching the picture with the fear of losing it.

A huge smile came on his face when he was successful in finding the picture finally and he hugged the picture tightly close to his heart and remain like that for few minutes.

In the midst of the unsettling aftermath of his nightmare, Neil found solace in the inked symbol, seeking strength from its hidden meaning.

Perhaps the tattoo was a talisman that provided him comfort during moments of vulnerability or fear.

It was a silent testament to his journey, serving as a symbol of courage and resilience that he carried with him wherever he went.

As the adrenaline from the nightmare began to subside, Neil lay back on his bed, taking deep breaths to steady himself.

The tattoo, bathed in the soft glow of the moonlight that filtered through the window, became a calming sight, grounding him in the present and reminding him that he had overcome darkness before.

With the comforting thought that the worst was behind him, he closed his eyes once more, hoping that the remainder of the night would be free from the clutches of unsettling dreams.

As he drifted back to sleep, the tattooed heart and the mysterious letter "A" stayed with him, a silent guardian watching over him as he sought solace in the realm of dreams once again.
