Chapter 11: Chapter 11
The sound of the gate banging echoed the rest of the class. The eyes of everyone except Alex went to the classroom door, and they saw Ruby standing in front of the gate with her hands holding both sides of the gate with a huge grin as if something excellent had happened to her.
“ Good morning all!” said Ruby to all of her classmates with a huge smile and a loud voice.
Ruby looked so happy that her classmates could only be silent and stare at her with their mouths open. It shocked them to see how excited this Ruby heart was that she slammed the door so hard when she opened the door.
With her innocent face and a huge bright grin, Ruby ran over to Alex without knowing that Alex was in a foul mood. With her sassy and cheerful demeanor, Ruby speaks to Alex, ignoring Drake trying to hold her. Ruby continued talking even though Alex didn't respond at all.
“Ruby, hold it already. You can't piss off Alex. “ Replied Drake trying to warn Ruby.
“What's wrong? Why do I have to stop? “ Asked Ruby innocently.
“Don't you realize he's in a foul mood?” replied Drake while giving a sign for Ruby to look at Alex
Ruby also looked at Alex, it quite surprised her to look at Alex sitting while reading a physics book seriously. Even though Alex just sat, Ruby could feel a dark aura rising from Alex's body. He could recognize that something was bothering Alex.
Unlike Drake, who felt reluctant and stayed away, Ruby approached Alex, indeed she was very brave enough to close the book Alex was reading and then held Alex's hand until Alex stared at her. Alex stared at her with an icy gaze as if he didn't have any feelings, but that gaze was still piercing. Ruby still smiled so that it made Drake who saw it still feel amazed.
“I want to show you an excellent place, let's go.” Said Ruby, then took Alex's grip and invited him to run down the corridor.
Alex remained silent and joined in running with Ruby. He couldn't say anything, but he looked at his hand that was holding Ruby's hand. Something seemed different as if something filled his air and heart. Alex couldn't explain everything he went through, he could only look at Ruby with a gaze as if he saw the main character of the comic who constantly looks beautiful and is regularly decorated with flowers around her.
The first-hour class bell echoed all over the school, but Alex and Ruby didn't pay any attention to it. They went on running down the corridor until everyone's eyes were on them. Suddenly, everyone who saw them screamed and clapped their hands excitedly. The atmosphere became so boisterous that some students even took their photos.
But all the screams didn't seem to bother them. Alex and Ruby went on to run as hard as they could until they came out of the school gate. Meanwhile, Helena, who is curious because everybody in her class gets hysterical when she looks out the window, becomes curious. She saw what was making everybody so enthusiastic. She saw Alex and Ruby, who were going out of school.
At that moment her heart seemed to stop beating, and it was as if a knife had struck her heart quickly. She could not avoid what she saw, and she felt enormous jealousy when she looked at Ruby and Alex running while keeping hands. Her pride was hurt, and she thought that she had lost to a new girl like Ruby.
“ Are you okay?” Natty asked, looking at Helena with a caring gaze while gripping her best friend's shoulder.
“Natty, I think I've become an evil person ...” replied Helena making Natty frown
“That girl is very innocent, and she seems pleased when I accepted her invitation to be friends, but I want to have Alex. I need to snatch Alex from her, I must be an evil person because I choose to stab in the back of someone who thinks I'm her friend. “ Replied Helena while clenching her fists.
Natty glanced at Helena's hand, which was clenched, then she held Helena's hand until it opened and Natty held her best friend's hand. Natty looked at Helena with a faint grin and their eyes were deep.
“You are not bad, feeling jealous and want to have someone you like is a natural thing. Everyone will feel the same way, I understand, and I will always support you. “ Said Natty with a grin.

Alex and Ruby kept running until they reached a hill behind their school. They climbed through the pine trees. Even though he knew that he was skipping classes, Alex still followed wherever Ruby took him. Alex also realized that something strange was controlling him. An unusual attraction that drives him has no control over himself.
This is not a fairy tale life, nor is it a romantic drama that is shown in theaters, and it is not a fantastic comic that drives a girl's flutter. This is the actual world and it's about him, he barely cared about other people. He who never glanced at other bodies now couldn't deal with himself in front of Ruby, a girl he met at the hospital.
“Come on, sit here ...” Ruby said as she patted the big rock that became her chair.
“Why did you invite me here?” asked Alex after he sat down beside Ruby
“Look over there!” replied Ruby while pointing forward. Alex also followed Ruby's words.
Alex's eyes opened wide. He was amazed at the view of the city he could see from there. His eyes sparkled, staring at the roofs of the houses that looked small from above. Sitting on a large rock nearly a hillside and feeling the breeze blowing over him made Alex somehow feel calmer. Maybe because the scenery is stunning or maybe because he was on the hillside. Alex smiled and all the restlessness that had filled his heart. Now all of that is gone.
“I don't know if you're going to prefer this, but it's for you. Happy Birthday.” Said Ruby while taking out a gift from her shirt pocket and giving it to Alex.
