Chapter 3: long time no see Isabella!

Jason looked sullen but he couldn't refute her so he nodded,he even lost his appetite , he took an apple and went out. He called Emma's number and it was still switched off he quickly called Emma's best friend.

“ Hey Ava are you together with Emma,have been calling her but her line is switched off. ” Jason said.

” Uhmm yeah she's here with me but she said she doesn't want to speak to you “ Ava said.

” Okay just give me the address and I will come look for her, “ he said.

Ava sounded tensed over the phone “ she said I shouldn't give it to you am sorry” ,before he could say anything else Emma's voice was heard “ what do you want from me huh? go meet your fiancee”

Jason was glad that she was fine " Emma you …. "

She continued “ Jason are you really going to get engaged, what about me did you even think about how all this will affect me ” she said while sobbing.

Jason felt bad “ pls stop crying Emma ,I will think of something okay, I will come up with a plan “he said.

Emma gave a bitter smile she asked Jason with a hoarse voice ” please cancel the engagement I can't live without you “

Jason frowned slightly, ” I'm sorry I can't ,I cannot disobey my mom's orders, I can only come up with something,“ he said.

Emma chuckled codly ”goodbye“ she ended the call.

Jason sighs loudly, he is so tired the only option left is to go speak with Bella.

In The Andrew's mansion

Isabella was lying on her bed playing games with her phone , Chloe barged in ,Bella kept playing her games without looking at Chloe ”what are you doing here “ she said.

Chloe found her question ridiculous ”you are asking me what am doing here?“ aren't you supposed to get prepared for your date ?”

Bella sigh “I don't wanna go okay ,I'm really not interested but mom keeps forcing me”

Chloe walked up and lay next to her on the bed “I think Aunty Evelyn just wants the best for you and she's so happy it's been long I saw her that happy after your dad passed away. Moreover, it's your dad's last wish to get you married to Jason. You have such a great parent that cares about your future, I think if I were you I would give it a shot ,just do it for your parents. You are one lucky girl. Am so jealous ” she said.

She looked at Chloe with a big smile “thanks chlo you are the best cousin sister in the world ,am sure you will also find the right one."

Chloe gave her a big hug ” okay pls go get dress ,no you have such a bad fashion sense I will pick your dress for you “

At 5:30pm Jason arrived at the Andrew's mansion to pick Bella up ,Mrs Andrew welcomed him and asked the maid to get him some tea and snacks.

Mrs Andrew said to the Housekeeper with a smile ” inform Bella that Jason is here “ she said.

” Yes ma'am ” the housekeeper bowed.

Back upstairs Bella was putting on light makeup when the housekeeper knocked on the door." come in, ” Isabella said. " Miss , Young master Jason is here “ she bowed then left.

Chloe “it is not even 6pm yet and he's already here ,I think he can't wait to see you.”come on let's go downstairs “.

When they arrived downstairs they saw Jason sitting in the living room having tea, he was so focused on his phone that he didn't notice them. not until Mrs Andrew called out to them.

When Jason turned around he was stunned completely Bella had completely changed she looked ten times prettier she had long black shiny hair ,blue eyes , straight nose and pink lips she looked so stunning and attractive like a fairy ,she was wearing a blue long dress which showed her perfect figure ,her hair was dropped on her shoulder she made him breathless.

When Bella noticed that he was staring at her she blushed slightly and she started feeling a little shy.

He quickly looked away “Aunty we have to go now ,I booked a reservation and I don't want us to be late” Jason said.

Mrs Andrew smiled “ it's okay you guys go have fun ,you can stop by some other time,you are always welcomed to our house. She glanced at Bella and said, " don't come home late." she nodded quickly.

Jason nodded and lead Bella out,

He thoughtfully opened the car door for her she buckled her seatbelt while he started the car, on their way he glanced at her and said with a smile ” long time no see Isabella“ she glared at him " oh I thought you won't speak to me ”

He chuckled softly “why won't I speak to you” she didn't know why but anytime he smiled at her she felt her heart thumping wildly.

She composed herself then snorted “so you were pretending because my mom was there ?“

”Yeah“ he said softly to her. On his way to Andrew's mansion he decided to be extra nice to her.

Before they knew it they got to the restaurant, they headed straight to the private room his mom made reservations for. They both took a menu and ordered what they wanted ,while they were eating the atmosphere suddenly became quiet.

Bella was the first to break the silence.

She sigh ” I never thought I will ever come back to New York ,After my father past away ,my mom was so shattered we couldn't leave in our old house caused it's filled with memories of my dad that's why we decided to move away ,we would have still been close if nothing happened to my family. ”
