Eden Callaway was sitting by the right side of the table with lingering eyes on the door as Alvin and his lawyer walked in.

Eden stood up to acknowledge him as a famous businessman shaking hands and all then pointed to the vacant chair which they occupied.

" Where's she? Eden would have rolled his eyes at him but acted professionally.

" My client is a busy woman. You don't go around setting meetings suddenly expecting others to roll with it because you got nothing doing" Alvin raised his brows astounded.

" I see. Like you said I have all day" he said amused leaning on the chair rest.

Minutes turned hours. She arrived just when his lawyer spoke up.

" This wasn't our schedule. Your client is wasting our time"

" That's because I don't see the need for it but I tried to be reasonable so here I am" Kate replied before Eden could defend her then took a seat.

The look on Alvin's face when he came face to face with her was astonishing, his eyes lingered on her for some time oblivious to his lawyer's terms.

" My client has requested for the withdrawal of the lawsuit. Simon Reagan was his son as well. I assume you should know that. You can't make the decision alone" Kate scoffed finding it unbelievable.

" What if I tell you that he wasn't his father? The lawyer seemed surprised then looked at Alvin who was immersed in staring at the woman he has been thinking about for the past four years. She was in front of him glowing like always yet she seemed so far.

Nothing intrigued him than her cold eyes, sharp eyes, and fearless demeanor. Without been told he could tell she has changed. Just how much did he break her?

" Sir? His lawyer's loud voice brought him from the trance as she looked at him in disdain wondering what he was staring at.

" Take the deal Kate. Simon's death certificate doesn't belong to you because you caused his death" he retorted as she hit her hands on the desk demanding respect.

" I want his death certificate as his biological mother and I expect it to be fulfilled unless I'll take this to court. I might assume the hospital sold my son off because I never got to see what he looked like. Right, Alvin? He scrunched his face in annoyance standing up from the chair.

" Are you threatening me?

"It's not a threat Mr. Reagan. Just a notice" Eden's hands were on his chin watching the couple fight and she was good at being a lawyer.

" You need money, don't you? I'll give you a hundred million dollars to withdraw the lawsuit or forget it" she stood up as well glaring at him.

" Is there no limit to your cruelness? I want Simon's death certificate and his gravesite as proof of Mr. Reagan. After all, you took him from me. You killed a child I nurtured for months because of jealousy. Just watch me" he narrowed his eyes at her statement certain she was still grieving their living son.

" Kate, there's nothing to talk about. I...." He paused then sighed.

" Then go ahead and sue the hospital. See if I care. Whore"

" Funny cos this woman right here isn't your responsibility anymore. So you don't have to worry about it. Me being a whore is my business" she retorted which angered him

" Kate Patterson watch your mouth because you're still my wife and the certificate you're requesting is for my son" he snapped almost blowing up in rage

" No, he wasn't. You're not the father of my late boy. Dante was and you killed him" he sought to grab her but Eden intervened.

" Calm down Mr. Reagan. As you have noticed my client is requesting a divorce. So you've no right over her. I advise you to keep your hands to yourself" he glared at the poor lawyer grabbing Kate by the arm forcefully earning a brutal slap from her.

" Don't touch me with those bloody hands. I think we're done here" she stated yanking his off which surprised them all.

" Is this how you want this? With Violence? I guess I might think twice before granting you that divorce" she shrugged not bothered by his utterances.

" I'll be ready Mr. Reagan. Get out" he clenched and unclenched his fist stepping towards her as she stood her ground waiting Then stopped astounded by her guts.

" Good luck getting the death certificate then while rendering those poor employees jobless especially that matron that stood by you after your awakening. I'm sure she'll be so proud" she composed herself then sat down with her legs crossed.

' I'm sure she'll be when I close that fucking hospital for good" his brow furrowed then leaned towards her with his hands on the desk.

" Don't do things you'll regret Kate. Well, I'm leaving. Don't hurt yourself" he rearranged his suit looked at her for some time and left while she turned to Eden.

" We're going to court. I knew it'll be a waste of time. He was here to see me I'm sure of it" Eden hummed scribbling it down like he has been doing during their hate conversation.

" You do hate him, Miss Patterson. We might be able to file for divorce. I mean why didn't the hospital create a death certificate for him? Why does he look at you like that?

' ignore him. He's a cunny fox. Thanks for your time as for the divorce papers, put them on hold. I'll be able to lay a claim to his certificate as his wife. I answered his surname then" she revealed as he nods impressed.

" Or you can deem this Dante guy the father of your child. That way, Alvin Reagan won't have rights over his corpse. What do you think? She looked at the door like he was there and blinked.

" He's late. He died the same day Simon died. It was the worst day of my life" he suddenly felt guilty for bringing it up.

' I'm sorry Miss Patterson. I didn't mean to upset you"

" It's okay. I know I didn't allow you to do your job. It's been a long I wanted to say that. He just didn't want to see me and here he was today, finally to see me. I guess I was overwhelmed"

' I understand the pain of losing a child"

" It isn't just about losing Simon but the fact that he caused it and I can't prove it. What kind of a man kills his own son? She muttered standing up to leave while the lawyer looked at her in confusion.

' tell me when it's time for the first trial. I have to go" that and she was gone only to find Alvin waiting for her at the parking lot.

She ignored him at first but had to turn around after hearing his sarcastic words?
