They talked about minor things laughing mostly as Kate raised a glass to propose a toast.

" Attention everyone, I'll like to say a few words to this wonderful family which I have disappointed yet accepted me. I have made terrible mistakes in the past which I regret to date. I know it wasn't your fault but I caused some damages which I'm liable for. Mr. Carl, please accept my condolences. I promise to fix everything and I mean it. I didn't want to be here but my family needed me and there's nothing I won't do for them. The same goes for all of you. I might be a totally different person as you've noticed but deep down I'm still me. I just need time and I know I'll get there with your support of course. And Mrs. Kang, I mean Mom. Thank you for everything. For loving Quinn, guiding Alvin. I'm grateful. You've proven that the greatest love is that of a mother for her child. Respect" she dropped the glass as Bianca pulled her into a hug, no one has ever made her feel so special yet the girl she snubbed did.

" Thank you she whispered pecking her as Kate smiled reciprocating the hug.

For the first time in many years, she had a family. She felt safe and that taught her a lesson.

Happiness is acquired not required.

Their chattering intensified as they had much to discuss after the apology speech from Kate.

The luncheon brought smiles to their faces thus Kate decided to show her mother around town.

" Louis told me all about it. He's familiar with it while don't you go home to your family' the word family had hee in realization.

' oh shit. I have to go pick Quinn. I'll call you she said already out of the room. She was on her way to Alvin's house after she received information that he wasn't in school.

The main door was locked thus she went through the pavilion and saw colorful designs with floating balloons, fireworks, and petals all over the place.

Initially, her anger dissipated as she saw Alvin looking incredulously handsome with smiles and all holding a box then kneel in front of her.

" Finding you is the best thing that has ever happened to my boring life. Loving you feels so right and it still is that I can't imagine life without you. Kate Patterson, will you remarry this imperfect again despite the hurdles of our past? Her palms were in her mouth as she couldn't believe it.

She wasn't expecting it.

" Another proposal? His beaming face fell at her remarks but he was determined to win her over.

" One I'll never go back on. I want to love, keep, nurture your heart if you will let me, and I promise to be faithful and honest with you all my life. Only you Kate no one else. Please remarry me" she smiled in satisfaction then stretched out her ring finger while he slipped it in smiling.

" Yes, I'll remarry you. Why won't I? My place is by your side" she replied urging him to stand then smashing her lips on his.

" We're still married technically" she reminded him.

" It doesn't matter. I want to renew our vows. To make every day with you meaningful cos I'm so whipped Kate. So smitten" she giggled cupping his cheeks then placed a chaste kiss on his lips.

" I'm all yours, Alvin Reagan. Take care of my heart like I will take care of yours till death do us part"

" I'd love you even in death. I swear" he muttered with his thumb on her lips caressing it while she gasped locking gaze with him.

" How was dinner with my family? She smiled with her hand around his neck.

" Beautiful!. my mom and Louis were there. I never really got to thank you for being there for them when I wasn't. It meant a lot" he shrugged drawing her closer with his other hand on her booty while he pried her lips open with his thumb.

" Show me" he whispered as she hummed planting her lips on his while her hands lingered on his body which he reciprocated kneading her boobs.

The supposed dinner and dates were ignored as they cuddled in bed panting.

" Are you pleased? She asked raining kisses on his chest while he groaned.

" I should be but I can't help it. I want you more. I want to eat you out. Who knows you could end up pregnant again. I'd love that' she suddenly stopped peppering open-mouthed kisses on him and sat up.

" I'm such a horrible mother" she stated about to slip out of the bed but he rolled her over staring at her in concern and worry.

" What's wrong? Did I do something wrong?

" I couldn't find Quinn and I promised to pick him up" Alvin sighed in relief.

" I told Colt to take him out. Stop worrying about disappointing him because that's not possible. Ever" she smiled leaning in for a kiss.

" Aren't you a sweet talker? Mr romantic"

" It paid off" she giggled sealing her lips on his allowing her to be in control.

" That reminds me. Here are the wedding planner's details'

' Are we seriously getting married again? He bit his lips tucking fringes of hair behind her ear then kissed her.

" Yeah and I want kids if that's okay with you"

" Kids? We need Quinn's permission cos I'll love to spoil him a little let's say for a year or two. What do you think? He twitched his mouth bringing his hands to her back.

" He deserves it. You've got it" she smiled hovering over him.

" Let me make it up to you then" she offered resuming their heated make out which he didn't mind having.

He needed it.

Everyone was surprised to hear about Alvin's remarriage announcement but none was as furious as David who was in the hospital bed watching the news.

With Logan gone and his boys lost in the island explosion, there was little he could do plus he had the mafias on his tails.

He owed them tons of drugs which cost millions hence he'll be lucky to get out of the hospital alive.

The house of Reagan was in festivity as everyone was getting ready for church.

Debra, Bianca, and Lisa were trying to make Kate wear a gaiter under her dress.

" It isn't the first time and Alvin had done it before. I recall it to be quite embarrassing. Hell no"

" Should I put him on the phone? Kate huffed in annoyance while Debra chuckled helping her with it.

" See it looks lovely on you" she commented earning a scornful look from her.

" Just imagine Alvin under your wedding dress taking it off. What a turn on" Lisa blurted out as Kate gasped.

" We've to go. He hates tardiness" they rolled their eyes at her then accompanied her downstairs.

The bridal car was parked outside awaiting their presence but someone just couldn't keep off.

" Kate, please hear me out. Please I feel lost and abandoned. Take me back. We're best friends. I fell prey to that wicked man. I'm a changed person" somethings never changed as Kate glared at her pushing her off her track and entered the car.

" Just drive" Bianca had a few things to say too

" Don't ever step your foot in my house again. Backstabbing bitch" she finished following suit while Debra shook her head in disappointment then joined them.

Naomi watched in despair as the car disappeared from sight and crouched down sobbing.

She was miserable as no company would employ her which had her making the last decision.

Yes, that was her plan at the moment although she wanted to try her luck thinking she might gain Kate's forgiveness. It seemed it was her wishful thinking thus hailed a taxi to the airport.

To start all over again cos life had taught her an unforgettable lesson. A lesson that cost her good people.
