Two hearts sat in a pew by the roadside hurting but for different reasons.

Kate was furious because Alvin dared to justify his reason for killing their son yet she had forgiven him time without number for cheating on her including the ones she witnessed.

The temerity of her speech had her picking her phone to make a call.

" Yes ma'am? Came a husky voice from the other end of the phone.

" I want a lawsuit against the nimrod hospital until they provide proof of a death certificate for Simon Reagan"

" Yes ma'am. Great choice" came the lawyer's joyful voice like he has been waiting for her to give the order.

" What about the divorce papers?

" Not yet I have a feeling that he'll grant it. I just want to talk to my son. He must have thought I abandoned him'

" Yes ma'am"

While Alvin ended up getting drunk for the day seated in a clubhouse cushion with lingering eyes on the couples dancing on the dancefloor which flooded good memories of Kate in his head.

His eyes darted to a short hair lady talking with some girls and approached her only to find out it wasn't her but the girl in person thought he wanted her.

" Looking for me? She cajoled running her hands on his chest while dazed by his cuteness.

" Get off me whore" he cussed as the lady in person felt embarrassed giving him the middle finger then walked away while he returned to his seat thinking about her all night.

All he ever wanted was to be with her. Love her, spoil her but he couldn't because David wanted her therefore he wrecked their marriage.

He thought his affection for her seems to have disappeared at the sight of her dictating her existence in his life on that video.

" Hello handsome," a stripper said taking a seat beside him as he glared at her.

" I don't do whores. Get lost" but this one was different. She wouldn't take no for an answer until Alvin twisted her hands for touching him.

" I'm married bitch. Your fucking hands aren't as pretty as my wife's" she twitched her mouth in pain than to reply then left.

" I thought you have stopped drinking" he veered around surprised to see Naomi in denim shorts and tank top staring at him.

" Don't tell Quinn about it" she chuckled then called for a waiter to clear the table.

" Let's go home, Alvin. You've had enough"

" I can't believe she left me for him? I loved her. She made me feel something that I didn't think existed. I didn't want to divorce her despite her plot to extort my money not after I saw the video, not after her infidelity. I wouldn't yet it took her a few misunderstandings to go running to someone else. Do you know how hard it is to watch someone you loved in the hands of another man? How hard it is to watch him touch her as you do? I agree I did some despicable things in the past but that was out of anger and hurt. Still, she's the one I love. I love Kate that I hate myself for being so weak towards her and to think she's living her life to the fullest while I wallow in grief hurts it's devastating " Naomi scoots close to him with hands around his shoulder in reassurance.

" Forget about Kate. She made her decision four years ago. On the contrary, I'm here for you Alvin if you'll have me. Quinn loves me. Isn't that proof that I'm good enough for you? Kate was my friend too but she has changed. Let's get together for Quinn's sake. I know with time I'll make you mine" she whispered rubbing his hands.

" You're nothing like her. Don't think you can ever replace her" his statement cut deep into Naomi's heart as her face fell.

" Alvin? She called softly with tears welling up in her eyes which he noticed.

" Let's go home Naomi " he urged struggling to stand on his feet which he achieved with her assistance.

" I just want us to go back to the way we were before the anonymous video. I will love that. That's all I wanted" he murmured

" I can't love anyone else because my heart is with Kate Patterson. I thought you should know that. She's all I think about" he reveals oblivious to a weeping Naomi.

She couldn't believe she has wasted her youth on someone she can never have. No, that wasn't possible. She sought a way out.

Curt rushed their way as he saw Alvin in a bad state which annoyed her but she had no choice but to give in to him.

" What happened to him bitch? He cussed. Yes, ever since Kate's accident he has been immune to the ladies that schemed their way into Alvin's life especially Naomi.

" I met him this way and watch the way you talk to me punk" she retorted.

" Leave him to me. You're just too desperate to bed a married man. Your best friend's husband. Girls are crazy" he concluded helping Alvin into the car then drove off ignoring the middle finger she raised at him.

" Colt, Do you think she loves him? Or she's after his money too? Colton sighed dejectedly in realization.

" Yes Boss"

" But I'm wealthier than him. I don't mind spending it on her. She should have told me all she wanted was my money not to lie about it. I have plenty to offer. Is it a crime to love someone that fucked someone else? Because I think I'm stupid" Colt chuckled partially in agreement with him but he wouldn't dare admit it.

" Miss Cynthia is good for you Sir. Kate is just a pretty face. With the attributes of a whore which attracts different men. She's too hot if you ask me" he stated gearing the steering while Alvin scoffed.

" I Don't love Cynthia. She's so sophisticated and rude. She doesn't have the attributes that I want. I guess I'm truly drunk for talking about Kate. Do you know I saw her angelic face today? Mine, she's prettier than I remember. Just the way I wanted but then again she isn't mine anymore"

" You're right about that. I'll have her investigated"

" You do that '

Alvin must have slept for a long time as Cynthia's screaming voice woke him up.

" I can't believe you're sleeping when your wife is about to close my hospital" he stared at her as if debating her sanity and sat up to receive the note she was handing out to him.

" What's this for?

" A lawsuit to the hospital requesting for Simon's death certificate" Alvin shrugged shredding it to pieces.

" She's crazy. Why will I have a death certificate for my son?

" she's threatening to close the hospital without it and guess what there's nothing we can do. She has this very famous lawyer Eden Callaway on her side" his eyes widened wondering how she got to hire him in the first place.

Just how much has she changed?
