Quinn's presence lightened her mood as she thought of resuming her search for Eden.

A joystick fell from the table thus she bent down to pick it up but ended up stepping on something. Her face scrunched up in fury ready to dial the housekeeping manager's number when her eyes caught the envelope and recalled Bianca handing it to her.

Curiosity had the best of her as she decided to open with widened eyes.

It was a birthday invitation: Quinn's Birthday or as it was written.

Quinn Norton Reagan.

There was more so, she read it out.

" The Reagans family. Alvin's family? Quinn Norton Reagan? Quinn Norton Reagan! August 15. No, no-no-no. This can't be. He can't do this to me. Bloody hell no" she grabbed her bag rushing out of the hotel to grab her car keys then drove off while Logan smiled driving after her.

At last, he had her out of her comfort zone. He allowed her to drive for a few minutes then blocked her path. She honk for him but he disembarked instead with stealth while she revved the tyres ready to run him over.

" It's over Kate. Get out of the car. He's waiting for you" he smirks pointing at the car oblivious to her gloomy face hence he didn't see the flicker in her eyes when she grim then ran into his car crashing it along with hers while he watched in shock with a newfound belief she was crazy.

With a bleeding head, she stepped out of the car wiping it with a kerchief then grabbed her bag and stood in front of him.

" Go where with what? He gritted his teeth irking to smash her face but clenched his fist instead. suddenly the pungent smell of gas filled the place. He raised his eyes and pushed her down while the cars exploded.

" Do you have a death wish Miss? Kate chuckled wiping the dirt from her pantsuit.

" Sadly, we escaped it. Isn't that enough proof that you tried to kidnap me? I can charge David for kidnapping if you don't shut your mouth. I'll like to see him anyway. He has a lot to explain to me" Logan hissed glaring at her then picked his hat.

Her smartness irks him to the core since her betrayal.

He couldn't believe she almost got them killed.

" That is if you can find a vehicle" he ignored her searching for a phone booth.

" Be right back" she looked around for a taxi and found none then brought her phone out to hail a taxi but he was quicker as a car honk.

" Get in please" he offered to open the back door for her while she entered.

" I thought you were stranded idiot" she rants.

David had to ruin her chances of confronting the Reagans. He just has to butt in then she furrowed her brows.

Is he responsible for Eden's disappearance? She glared at Logan.

He knew and was hiding it from her but why?

Because you might turn a new leaf to please Simon ' her subconscious mind tells her.

" Drive faster bastard" she can only cuss at him. David was her target. She had no business with Logan.

The car took a one-way direction indicating he was taking her somewhere else thus she panicked.

' Why are we changing route?

" Mr. Wilson orders"

" What the Fuck you son of a bitch. Stop the car" but Logan drove faster instead.

" I said stop the car or I'll crash it" she warned as Logan became aware of it stepping on the brake pedal while she looked for something to hit him with.

She couldn't imagine finding Simon at last and not being able to see him.

No wonder he had her eyes and the hair. How could she be so blind to it? He looked like Alvin or she knew she just didn't want to acknowledge it.

Idiot' she mentally scolded herself reminiscing his attraction towards her. She had such a lovely son.

I have a son' she wanted to yell but snapped back to reality instead.

Logan was on desolate lands. She didn't want to imagine where he was taking her.

The truth is, she has been looking forward to it.

She was tired of pretending.

She just wanted everything to be over so that she can go back to her son. She couldn't wait to see him.

Her mother will be thrilled to see him. Louis will be thrilled to meet him.

" Here, Mr. Wilson wants to talk to you," said Logan handing his phone to her.

" Tell him to wait. We're close right? Logan pressed the loudspeaker button while David spoke.

" I hope you're enjoying the journey. You left me no choice. Nobody is coming to save you this time. It's just you and I" she quirks her lips up ignoring him.

She didn't need saving.

" I hope we negotiate without interruption this time. See you soon" Logan stared at her through the rearview mirror and hissed.

He has never seen a woman as disrespectful as Kate and cold too. She gives him the creeps. sometimes he thought David was blinded by his old precision of her which he chose to stick with instead of the rival in front of him.

Kate is a dangerous woman' he reasoned recalling the move she pulled earlier.

She almost killed them.

How does David put up with her attitude?
