It was rare to find his father holding a woman thus Quinn was curious to know who she was thus asked, Naomi.

" Who was that beautiful lady that my Dad held? Naomi narrowed her eyes seemingly stunned then sighed dramatically.

" I have no idea maybe she was not important. It's best to ask your dad" Quinn hums finding it reasonable tugging on her top.

She looked down and giggled cos he was urging her to lean lower which she did.

' I think Dad likes her but not to worry I like you. So Dad won't marry her" Naomi's heartfelt full with his promises.

' that's so sweet dear' she placed a peck on his cheeks while he scrunched his face.

" Ewww, Naomi. I'm not a baby anymore"

" Yes, you are my baby. Just because you love like eight at four doesn't mean you're a baby. You've your dad's good genes to thank for that" his face gleamed then fell which had Noami worried for him.

" What's wrong? I was kidding sweetie"

' I must have inherited some genes from mom as well if dad will tell me' his eyes widened then ran off before Naomi could register what he said cos he was mumbling so she heard a few then trailed after him that is if he'll slow down.

He dashed into the car and tapped on the security cameras and zoomed-in after finding Kate and Alvin talking in the lobby.

Though he didn't listen to their conversation he couldn't get his eyes off Kate. Those eyes looked familiar thus he paused it connecting it to a photo printer. Thanks to Alvin he had major tech gadgets.

He waited impatiently for it looking at more scenes.

His dad seems to be familiar with the lady " he thought noticing her dark hair then touched his.

Alvin had brown sleeky hair. So do his dad and mom.

Incoherent voices were getting closer as he trembled quickly stuffing the photo printer into his bag then brought out his PS5 to play.

Tate and Alvin boarded the car but without the girls which didn't bother him like before after all he was on a quest to find his mother.

"What are you doing here? Weren't you sightseeing with Naomi? Tate asked as Alvin looked taken aback by his presence.

" What happened Quinn? He pulled a long face then replied to him.

" I rather not. I saw you with a lady. Is she going to be my stepmom? I don't even know her" Alvin and Tate exchanged glances then Alvin cleared his throat taking a seat beside him then pulled him into his lap.

" I'm not seeing anyone. She's not important"

" I don't think so because you held her possessively though she didn't want to be with you" Tate chuckled amused by his observation and stared at him talk himself out of it.

He'd enrolled him in a speech program to build his vocabulary. It's payback time.

" Quinn, I'm not remarrying anyone not even her. Forget about her, please. She's one of those girls that think she can be tough. I was trying to put her in her place" Quinn nod then paused for some minutes while Alvin heaved a sigh of relief then he spoke.

" She's beautiful anyway. I don't mind if you're seeing each other. As long as she makes you happy" he stated immersed in his video game as Alvin twitched his mouth speechless.

Tate had to come to his rescue.

" Your Dad is okay with being with you. I'd like that. Don't you? Quinn shrugged.

" It's okay if you don't want to tell me not that she's my mother who has finally returned. I mean by her behavior she wanted nothing to do with you. So it's cool' they tensed up again staring at him in utmost dismay.

Okay. Maybe Alvin will have to withdraw him from the program. He was getting too smart.

" I'm sorry" he muttered looking at him in guilt then met Tate's judgemental eyes.

" Let's go home. Grandma is missing you already" he said trying to lighten him up.

" Okay," he said buckling his seatbelt.

The ride home was quiet and tense as Alvin kept picking glances at Quinn wondering just how much did he hear?

He wasn't comfortable with his questions.

On the other hand, Naomi was restless as she barged into David's office like a ticking bomb.

" It took you long enough to appear," said David ushering his guest to leave.

" What do you mean by Alvin having a son? I thought he died in the accident? David pointed to the seat which she took grumpily.

' that's what he made us think. Apparently, he survived it. I found out Kate had a successful C-section thus Alvin lied about his existence to punish Kate for cheating on him or something like that

' so have you found him? He stood up from the chair and trailed to the wine cellar, grabbed a bottle of wine, and scooped some ice.

" He's hiding him from the world. I've tried searching schools home and abroad for him but found none but not to worry my influence will get me anything I want he tells her pouring her a drink " with your help, of course, she furrowed her brow taking the glass of wine from him slowly.

" I don't understand"

" You're close to Alvin Reagan. Take advantage of that and find out. I'm sure he's not hiding him from family. Am I right? She gulped the whole glass of wine nervously.

' he trusts no one. After Kate left, he was devastated. He shut everyone out. Cynthia and I have done our best to win him over but it seems he's tolerating Us. Kate literally broke him. He's not going to condone me snooping around. Believe me" David hums satisfied with her explanation as it explained his decision to stay low.

" I advise you to take it as the perfect opportunity to get the job done unless Kate gets to know about you too soon. With Simon alive, Kate is likely to find out sooner or later. She loves that boy after all and trusts me she's not the same person from four years ago. Your choice" she nods in understanding.

" I'll see what I can do. What about the divorce case?

" It's still pending. She's desperate for it. I know it'll happen" Naomi cheered to that.

" How is your plan going so far? Getting in Kate's pants and all? David twitched his mouth.

" In progress for now. I don't want to rush her even though she's so fucking tempting" she shrugged peering into his eyes.

" Will that explain their incessant meeting? I mean Alvin and Kate's. If I remember correctly he kissed her right here" she touched her lips pouting.

" She seemed to like it. Is that what you refer to as in progress? She questioned then sneered as his face darkened.

" what did you just say? He snapped hitting the desk which startled her.

" You heard me. Control your woman. She's a slut" he was about to reply to her when Logan and Alex Gregory stepped into the room then exchange greetings.

" We'll talk on the phone. Excuse me" David said to Naomi who hummed then strolled out.

" So, Mr. Gregory. You know what to do right? I don't condone failure nor mistakes. I'll let you off if you'll ruin my chances of getting this deal. Before that let me have your resume' Logan handed his bio to him then read through it impressed by it.

Alex Gregory has been playing dirty games for decades and the thought of it pleased him.

" You're fifty-six I presume with lots of experience'

" And assets. I have been doing this for years now without so much as a mistake. As you can see, I have no family. There's nothing to lose"

" If you're caught, I don't know you. I won't waste time to terminate you if you play smart with me"

" Whatever. Logan will put you through. I've something important to do and Logan have someone tail Kate for me"

' yes Boss" he curt nod then left.

The deal with the Chinese investors had Kate exhausted as she has spent a lot to purchase the company yet they're finding it difficult to release it thus she focused on Dante's law firm which was easier because Alvin used his Mafia influence to wreck the poor guy.

She returned home, get ready for the night, and went to bed then noticed a presence.

The bed lamp flickered as it was switched on revealing David seated by her bedside.

" What are you doing here? She asked bitterly as he was invading her privacy.

" Where were you?

" It's none of your business David. What's the meaning of this? She snapped as he stood up angrily grabbing her hands.

" Have you been sleeping with him? After everything, we've been through together? She looked at him in melancholy trying to wriggle her hands from his hold

" Get your hands off me, David. I'm not your property. I don't know what you're talking about. You know what get out of my property now" she yelled as he chuckled holding her chin.

' what does he have that I don't? I can fucking do better than him. Perhaps you doubt my sexuality. Why don't I prove it to you" he stated tugging on her pajamas sleeve button which had her widening her eyes at his action then kneed him on the crotch.

" Get out of my room. You animal' she yelled grabbing a bottle of scotch by the bed pointing it at him.

" I'm not going anywhere without an explanation. Why are you doing this Kate? After everything, I have done for you"

' I didn't ask for it. You did it willingly because you wanted to covet Alvin's properties. You've me to contend with if you think I'm a property to be coveted. Get the Fuck out of my room. I don't owe you an explanation. I can fuck whosever I want"

" Not on my watch. Dante didn't end well, did he? She tensed up wondering how he knew about it.

" I'm just as obsessed as Alvin Kate. Don't you dare forget it for a second. I don't like sharing" he tells her taking steps her way only to stop as Louis entered the room staring at them.

" What's going on here? David looked between them then walked away but Louis held him back with a punch to his face.

He could tell with Kate's horrific look and the bottle in her hands that he was trying to molest her.

" Don't ever touch my sister. She's married" he tells him as David cackled which earned him another punch.

" Let's see who'll protect her when you're gone little boy" he whispered as Louis looked at Kate's pitiful eyes then let go of his collar.

' get out of here you bastard. Stay away from her" he tells him then ran to Kate enveloping her in a warm hug.

' Are you okay sis? I heard your voice. Who is he?

' I'm good Louis thanks. Now tell me what the matter is? What does David mean?

" I'm sure he was exaggerating. I'm good believe me. What are you doing with thugs like that?

' he's not a thug. Come here. Let's have your bruise treated"

Louis chuckled" he does have a firm jaw" she giggled helping him with his swollen knuckles while he watched her.

' you would have made a wonderful mother. I think you should try to forgive Alvin perhaps have another baby. He might heal your grieving heart" she hummed immersed in it.

" I don't want to see that bastard anywhere near you. He's obsessed with you' she scoffed wriggling her brows.

" I don't think so. He just has ulterior motives. So do I"

" Are you sure? Don't worry though, I'm here to protect you. Try not to be in a closed room with him" she couldn't help but laugh at his parental advice recalling the day her mother gave her the sex education speech.

" You sound like Mom Louis," she tells him as they both burst out laughing.
