"Do not take decisions while you are standing at the barrel of a shotgun."[Riley Brown].

Christian enjoyed the kiss thoroughly while Riley was mortified. She bit on his lips with all her strength.

Letting out a muffled groan he left her. Blood oozed from the corner of his mouth.

Riley took deep breaths to calm her heart. She was blushing. Her response to the kiss spoke volumes.

'Well, he would have preferred more wetter kiss with more tongue than the one that they shared At the time. But he will let it slide this time because it was there the first kiss.' Christian thought inwardly.

Glaring at him fiercely Riley cried out "You...You took my first kiss away."

Hearing that Christian raised the corner of his lips and wiped the blood gracefully and said almost sounding guilty

"Oh Sorry. But Miss Riley that was for Mr. Evercast! He wanted a picture, Please Forgive me?"

Taking a deep breath she managed to fake a smile that was uglier than crying.

"Fine Mindy! But don't do it again." She said sternly.

Christian took deep breaths to calm his nerves so that he can control himself. He will have a lot of chances for kissing her in the future again He thought happily.

But in her words, his eyes furrowed.

"What?"

When he eyed her with confusion, Riley decided to elaborate.

"Mindy, we have just got married You can't kiss me like this!"

Riley secretly rolled her eyes, the more she thought about it, the more resentful she became for being a beggar's wife?

"But we are married," Christian said.

"We just got married, Mindy. We have to take things slowly. One step at a time."

Christian shrugged "But,"

They were so busy gazing at each other that they forgot about Cynthia's presence. She rolled her eyes at there a public display of affection. Everyone was not in a relationship alright, She glared at her boss who put her in this embarrassing situation.

To gain the lovebird's attention she coughed loudly and said in an angry tone.

"Congratulations Mrs and Mr beggar! Now you guys can leave, I will report everything to the boss! I hope You both always be together."

Riley threw deadly daggers at the poor assistant. What she said wasn't for blessing her, It was a warning from her boss. She understood her meaning clearly.

Cynthia reluctantly left While He brought Riley to the house Cynthia prepared according to his new pretending status.

Hailing a taxi, Beggar Brought Riley to his Apartment.

Taking a deep breath, she bit her lip harshly, finding it hard to ignore the condition of the apartment the beggar had. It was in a bad condition that her mood deteriorated further.

'Ah! Just how much God hates her!'

Calming herself she looked at the beggar who was trying to unlock the door of his apartment or whatever it could be called, it was in a bad condition, He fumbled with the lock thrice and by the fourth time, he was sweating. Finally, To not add more injury to her misery God took pity on her and the Doors opened.

Whether she wanted or not, She was now his wife legally. She has to accept it. Christian frowned and looked at her discomfort, He cursed Cynthia again and again in his brain. His stupid Pa wanted him to be embarrassed in front of his wife. He will deal with her tomorrow first thing in the morning!

"Miss Riley what are you thinking? Let's go in!" Christian asked embarrassingly.

"Nothing, Yeah let's go," she answered in a small voice.

Riley made her way to his home, It wasn't big. But she felt bad for being a selfish person who didn't like her husband just because he was a beggar.

He took her to the bathroom while she cringed at the thought of taking a bath in it.

Christian frowned, How can Cynthia be so stupid. She chooses this home! Even it's the bathroom was smelly. He was disgusted but since the bedroom wasn't that bad. So he took matters into his own hands and said embarrassed,

"Miss Riley, just wait 10 minutes, I will clean the bathroom, Then you can take a bath."

Riley had no intention of going to that bathroom,

"No need Mindy, I remember I have a very important meeting in the office so I will leave now!"

Listening to her words, Christian got angry, It was there the first day of marriage and she was already leaving him, this cruel woman! He wanted to shout at her and show her that she can't go anywhere on their wedding day, But now he was just a beggar in her eyes! He didn't want to be a bad husband. So he decided to stop her with a new idea.

"But Mindy you hadn't had lunch yet! And it's our first day at the wedding. You can't leave me alone." He said pitifully.

Riley sighed but shook her head guiltily,

"I'm Sorry Mindy! but I have to go right now! I promise I will make it up to you!"

"But Miss Riley..".Christian tried to reason with her.

But Riley said sternly,

"Mindy now we are married, and I need to work more efficiently so that we both can make a living together, this is for our good!"

Christian sighed helplessly, He knew if she decided something she wouldn't agree with him at all, However, he wanted to make their first day of wedding memorable for her. Alas! Her determination has caused him to do something like this absurd to her!

If only this mad woman would have accepted his proposal they would have been on their honeymoon now!

'How cruel can you be Riley Evercast.'

He sighed helplessly and asked in a neutral tone.

"Okay Miss Riley, but promise me, you will come before dinner! I will prepare a delicious dinner for you."

She cringed at the thought but nodded her head reluctantly.

"Don't call me Miss Riley, Mindy. Just call me Riley."

"Okay. Miss Riley, I mean, Riley."

"Great." She smiled.

"What about your clothes?"

"Oh! Don't worry about it. I will take my stuff from my parent's home in the evening."

"Will you need my help?"

"No Mindy. it is not much. I will manage it."

"But, Okay," Christian said.

"And one more thing, Please don't go beg for money from now on. I will work for both of us."

"I.."

"Please. it's a request."

"Okay."

How embarrassing it was for a billionaire, whose wife thinks he is a beggar.

After Riley left, The first thing Christian decided to do was to make her secretary fix everything in the cringeworthy apartment.

He called her,

"Hello, Sir."

"Cynthia, I must say You did a great job today."

"Thank you, Sir."

"You even didn't give the chance to Riley to look at the names on the registry book."

Cynthia did try to reason with her boss, But everything turns out to be unreasonable once Riley Brown came into the picture.

Hence, in the end, she decided to do whatever her boss demanded! After all her job wasn't to reason with her boss, it was only to assist him!

Christian left Cynthia and some workers at home and decided to order some tasty food for his Queen. it should be Special.

Glow food court belonged to Christian. Every time someone needed to book a room there, they needed to make sure to make a reservation at least one month before, sometimes even three months before their arrival.
