-30-A month later to the mishap.

That was all he remembers of the day. When he woke up again it was after a month of the kidnapping in a hospital. His body was attached to various wires and burnt. His sister, Emma sitting near the couch of his bed in a VIP room of the hospital. She was teary-eyed when she saw him regaining consciousness. Why wouldn't she, her only family was lying on a deathbed? She did not know how to express her feelings. Although, She wanted to hug him to make sure it wasn't just her dream on a second thought his injuries had stopped her.
After a month of treatment, he was discharged from the hospital. And in the meantime, he got to know about how much Andy had tried to find him and what had happened behind his back.
There had been an investigation for him, a search operation, and even other than that Andy had personally tried to search for him. He had done everything police do when a crime happens, but there was no result.
Eventually, after the first day of no result, he had pressurized the police department by asking some of his politician friends demanding to work extra harder to find him. And For that, he was grateful Even if he would have done the same for him. he at that time felt like a friend is like a star who becomes black velvet in any night, who brought him comfort in every way. He was a true friend who had proven his worth again and again.
On the other hand, Emma was devastated, because reality was harsh for her to face. Her little brother had been the first man she ever trusted was kidnapped in a city she barely visited. The little boy she had raised since childhood. Practically like a mother. Christian was more like a son to her. Although she was sick, yet after hearing the news of his kidnapping She had immediately flown to New York. As a result, stress stimulated her condition and she has admitted to the hospital the very next day. And That was the sole reason he had decided to keep her in dark about his fresh car accident.
When the police had found him he was found in blood, lots of blood but there was a woman with him engulfing his whole body in her arms to keep him warm since they both were soaked. Though They both were passed out of excessive blood loss. But the woman had been clinging onto him. The paramedics have failed to loosen her hold upon him and as a result, they had to take them together in an ambulance. After that The same day she had donated her blood to him because they were not able to find o positive blood group faster. She had left after that.
Andy didn't know what Chrisitan has been through but just a mere mention of her had made him smile. And just when he told her about her full name his smile turned even bigger while his eyes were filled with a certain kind of softness to them. He still remembers how Andy had teased him
"I never knew, Beauty can save beasts too."
His face that was initially filled with scars had flushed red. The corner of his mouth had twitched but he hid it immediately. For he didn't want to be teased by him.
The police had failed to inquire about what happened after he had passed out. And he refused them to force her for answers. He owed her that. Nobody knew other than Riley and her best friend what happened after and it remained a mystery to him till now. At the same time, he was touched in a way that his soul felt everything. His scars may heal, but On the battlefield of his life, she had proved to be his one-woman army.
From that day onwards he became a man with a scarred face. He was what he hid. Although he had several burned marks upon his face, yet the inner layer of skin was protected. Which Doctor had informed them that they will heal with time. But they did praise the person who had saved him since she had used milk which had worked in protecting his inner layers of skin. And that was the reason there were very large scars on his face when he met her for the first time to propose to her after the mishap.
Though after that, as time progressed it had started healing after which he had undergone a few surgeries and his skin was fully recovered.
But he still wore a mask to make sure the people who wanted to end his life can make a small mistake and will be caught. However, there was no accident after it.
There was still an investigation going on to find those goons but there was no result. It seemed as if either they were eaten by land or we're swallowed by the sky. Though still, the whole fiasco had changed his life for the better.
It was a little nostalgia, that he came to know the value of life and Riley Brown. Life for him was forever noise pollution but she had turned it into music. Initially, he didn't even know how he felt, though neither she chained him, nor he wanted to escape. He could still remember as the tears rolled down from her beautiful black eyes as she kept him in her arms when the goons surrounded them. The memory was engraved in his heart. Deep in his soul. It affected him so strongly that he kept it inside him. Even after the persuasion of Andy, he had just told him about an outline of what happened. Since it was a special memory as special as their bond and he would never share it with anyone else than her.
Yet he knew that she couldn't gift him her heart in the same way he had given her. But he still wanted to experience life with her.
