26-year-old Christian stared at the decorations of the office, that he had personally asked his assistant to follow. It had been two weeks now since he had collaborated with Riley brown's boss, Rudolf. He had specifically asked him to put undue pressure on Riley for a few days now, falsely accusing her of misconduct or laxity. It was necessary for the surprise he had planned for her.

While, on the other hand, 25-year-old Riley Brown was fearing the status of her job for some time now. Since it was high time Rudolf had been complaining about her working ethics. She was sitting idly on her office chair when her boss Mr. Rudolf, a 40-year-old-man who was as moody as hell has called her to the office. But by now she was sweating. As she walked into the office of the boss, she found out the whole room was decorated with lilies and beautiful lights, although she loved lilies it was a little strange! Considering her boss had been single since his whole life. 'But who was she to complain?'

So, Riley dragged her exhausted body into the associated room of her boss, which was associated with the room of his assistant. She was almost ready to be fired. However, the moment she opened the large brown door and saw him the man with a disfigured face in front of her eyes while a violin's soundtrack played behind them left her numb as the realization dawned upon her

Her eyes were filled with fury as she stared at him with hatred. It would have been better if her boss would have fired her.

Her 5 feet 3 inches body was shaking with anger, as she closed her black eyes not being able to see the disgust in her colleagues' eyes who were surrounding them. She gazed at Christian Evercast's face with utter astonishment while he sat there on one knee with a diamond ring in one hand while a card in another.

He had been a billionaire and has declared openly his love for her 110 times since the last two years in a row. Even after outright refusing his 110 proposals, He still had the guts to propose to her 111th-time. 'He must be Crazy.'

Anyways, As her colleague's chants and voices grew louder, Riley understood the seriousness of her situation. And that was the exact moment, Christian decided to speak. His brown eyes shining with great determination while the crowd fake cheered for him.

"Woohoo….."

"For the last two years, Everyone in the city knows how much I love you. And it might have been seen when I started following you like a puppy." His voice husky, yet it seemed he was begging her.

His gaze locked on hers. She didn't respond, just looking at him quietly without any emotion.

"I would love for you to grow old with me Riley Brown! The best is yet to be and it would begin from the moment you say yes! Will you marry me, Riley?" Christian asked his voice almost quivered in the end. Even in an AC room sweating started.

A colleague nudges her in the shoulder and she came out of her La La Land. Glaring at him hard.

As if saying 'If you want to get insulated, it's not my fault.'

People started cheering for him.

"Say yes

Say yes.

Riley. Yes."

Riley's eyes gave a once over to everyone and they shut their mouths as if one look made her clear, what her answer would be.

Her laugh quieted down the warm jovial mood of the room, as everyone held their breath for the drama.

"Haha...Christian Evercast Are you crazy! Hear me. I will not marry you even if I have to marry a beggar!" Riley threw away the gifts and the diamond ring on the ground and stepped on them in anger with force.

Riley had never been this angry before but Christian Evercast has also never proposed to her in her office in front of her colleagues, she even heard some mocking laughs. She wasn't going to appreciate it. 'This damned Man. If only she could have smashed his face.

'I am so done with him. For God's sake, it was his 111th proposal! How dared he!'

"You are not following me like a fucking puppy. You are damn stalking me even after my restraining order."

To stop him from proposing to her again, she glared at him. Tearing the 'I love you card, She threw it at his face. However, He didn't even budge. Exhausted with how the day turned to be she tries her final method and stepped on his feet with her 5-inch heels, but the ever so powerful Christian didn't even flinch.

"Oh, I am sorry Christian. I didn't mean to hurt you." Her voice, not even a single percent sounded guilty. It was fake.

'As fake as his face.'

Nearing him again, she said slowly in his ears, "Don't you dare to do this again Christian Evercast? You might be a billionaire, But you can't have everything you want. You can't have me."

Her fingers quoted 'me' in the air as she left the room with a bang. While almost everyone followed her out.

The man who she had saved two years ago at the cost of her childhood sweetheart Stuart. She would never agree to marry him. Like seriously, he was delusional.

The bright smile on Christian's face froze. It seemed too stiff to maintain. Although he wasn't shocked by her words. He had known what her answer would be. But then again, Riley Brown never accepted his proposal. She was a cruel woman.

Stumbling Christian stood up slowly with a small smile hung on his lips. A cold smile. He could still remember the time he had spent proposing to her 110 times, No now it would be 111 times. The first one was the simplest, he had proposed to her in a coffee shop when she was dining with a friend. He had ordered to fully vacate the street open restaurant when he was proposing to her, while Riley being Riley had poured the same champagne which had the ring in it on his head.

'Ah, why doesn't her heart melt?' Christian thought cursing himself for even coming to her office.

Failed with disappointment, she left her own office to save herself from further embarrassment.

The moment Christian returned to his office his secretary Cynthia knocked at his door. However, what she saw nearly gave her goosebumps.

Her one and only boss raised his head and then the next moment bang he had smashed the phone on the wall. His proposal was everywhere on social media, everyone was judging him on the internet. He became a laughing stock!

Just because of her.

This damned Woman!

To save herself Cynthia returned to her desk and dialed Emma's number. His sister. In the current situation only she was the one who can handle him.

While Christian knocked over everything that was kept on the table. He was furious. She had the guts to do that to him.

"15 minutes later"...

His Sister Emma knocked on the door and pushed opened the door and said teasingly,

"Oh, My, Brother Congratulations! You failed in the 111th proposal!"

"You!! Are you laughing at me?" Frustrated he gulped his coffee down, the one he ordered Cynthia to bring after throwing his tantrums, and Said angrily.

"One day she will be my wife. But till then you can laugh all you want.."

Emma sighed, Her Brown eyes were filled with love and pity. Of course, she knew that His love for her will never change. The only person in the world he adores, Aside from their family was Riley brown. She honestly didn't understand his undying love for her. It might be because she had saved him twice on different occasions.

He has been living in Newyork for the last two years ever since he and Riley met again.

Although She loved New York City, it was still the most populous city in the United States. With the area distributed over about 302.6 square miles. New York City is furthermore the most densely populated leading city in the United States, the city is the largest metropolitan area in the world by urban landmass.

Certainly, New York is known for being expensive but there are lots that people can do for free. Which Emma feels are worth trying.

She loved Just like Walking across the Majestic Brooklyn Bridge, which looms over New York City’s East River, linking the two boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Though, The second thing she does every month once is Visiting buildings such as Grand Central Station and St Patrick’s Cathedral. While the distinctive architecture and interior design of Grand Central Terminal's station house have received several landmark designations, including as a National Historic Landmark.

But the best thing to do is Riding the Staten Island Ferry The Ferry runs 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. As a tourist, there’s no better way to kickstart your NYC adventure than to take a ride on the FREE Staten Island Ferry. (Do try it)

But still, they didn't belong here. Their home was in San Francisco. His scarred face was hard to look at. Yet here he was living in a facade of the ugly face.

Emma was brought out of her daze by Christian's voice.

"Help me, Emma! Please!"...Christian Urged her.

Emma sighed, but then an idea struck her mind and she put a finger under her chin and made a gesture of indicating that she was thinking of helping him. Grinning mischievously, she hurriedly filled a glass of water and threw it at his face, His brown orbs glared at her fiercely before he tore his ugly face mask.

A handsome face appeared. He was so handsome that even a girl would be jealous of him.

"Baby brother, Riley may dislike your ugly face, if you show her your real face I promise she will love you immediately!"

"Bullshit! you know it, I can't show her my face until those goons are arrested!"

His eyes flashed. The accident of his car, two years ago almost took his life. It was only because of Riley he was alive. Till now they were unable to found the culprit.

Her sister blurted out in a low voice, "Well, Then forget it! we can't do anything about it!"

"Please Emma think for my sake, You know how much I love her! Help me, this once sister."

"Please! Please!" He chanted his words almost with puppy eyes.

"Eww, Stop it!" Emma grimaced.

"Please Sister" ..Christian urged joining his hands in front of him.

Emma grinned, and said with a mischievous glint in her eyes, "I have a way but you are not going to like it."

Christian frowned but asked nonetheless, "Please, I will do it whatever it is! just tell me."

"Well, there's nothing that you can do except," she grinned and said sheepishly "if you become a beggar then maybe she will marry you."

Emma nearly ran after the idea, ready to receive a blow on her head, but when there was no movement behind her, She looked back and saw his arrogant-ass brother contemplating deeply.

She was stunned! Did he hit his skull seriously somewhere, or is he sick, She frowned and tested his temperature, but it was fine! She was amazed!

However, Christian swatted her hand away and threw his arms around her, beaming with joy.

"Sister you are so great, I owe you for this one," Christian said happily.

While Emma was horrified, Did he said what she heard? She shook her head and stared at him dumbly.

He was practically glowing with joy.

Christian hurriedly left the room, she tried to chase after him but to no avail.

Fuck what did she do? That was just a joke.

[Riley Brown- in the night of the same day].

Riley seemed not to be in a good mood, She didn't have the mood to even eat the whole day, Not only today but also ever since that Stupid Devil Proposed to her, She had been in a bad mood.

It was the 111th proposal for God's sake, she rejected ever since he came back from the hospital.

How can he change so much, She thought for a while but then sighed to herself, Why is she thinking about him again!

'Ah! Forget it, Ril!

She frustratedly sighed again and then moved towards the bed to sleep contentedly.

[It was a sunny day.]

She had just reached her office gate when someone approached her and said happily,

"Ril-boo we met again!"

She jumped in surprise. Her first reaction was that stupid bastard Christian appeared again.

"It's you? What are you doing here?"

Displeased, Riley at her stalker neighbor William and asked "Did you come here to trouble me again."

"Stupid!" He flicked her nose and circled her with his hands almost circling her waist and then announced,

"No, I am here to tell you that we have a date scheduled at 7:30 in the evening, Be ready Ril-boo, I will pick you up at 7."

She sighed exasperatedly and shouted "I am not going anywhere with you, Dumbhead! Tell Mommy, I will never go on a date with you, You are just like a brother to me."

He laughed sarcastically and said with a cold expression, "No can do sweetheart, Stop this brother joke. I like you and You are coming with me. Now go or you will be late Bye!"

She cursed him in her head and left him there. She hoped this day wouldn't turn out to be worse than this!
