"Yes...Yes it is." Kemi says staring at the document.

Rose stretches it out to her."Here."

Kemi collects the envelope from her and looks at it. She turns back to Rose.

“Thank you Rose."

Rose nods, "How's your neck?"

Kemi smiles lightly, “It's fine.”

Rose turns back and exit the room.

Kemi takes a closer look at the envelope and sighs. All she has to do now is take it to the consigliere. She didn't have to wait for the remaining hours, she can just give it to him now and get it done with.

There's no way she would be able to carry the envelope out of the mansion without anyone especially madam Teju seeing her with it. She hides the envelope underneath her dress and takes out her phone to call the consigliere.He picks on the second ring.

“The only thing you should tell me now is that you have the document." That's the first thing he says when he answers.

"That's the reason I'm calling right now. I have the document.”

"You do?” He asks as if in disbelief.

"Yes.”

"Good. Come over to the same place you did last time."

Kemi nods before the line goes dead.She places the phone back and walks out of the room.

After she manages to leave the mansion, she meets the driver who came to pick her last time and he takes her to the resort. The consigliere is at the same place she met him last time. He gestures for her to sit so she sits at the lounger chair nervously. What if this isn't the right document, or what if the underboss notice it's missing before she returns to the mansion?

She gives him the document and fidgets with her hands and he collects the envelope from her before he looks at it closely. He opens it and pulls out a single paper half way out of the envelope before putting it back into the envelope.

He stretches out his hands and one of his guards walks over to place a similar document in his hand.

He takes it and hands it over to her. “Put this there as a replacement.”

She takes the envelope from him and looks at it. It has the same seal as the one she just gave him.

She nods.

His eyes travel to down to her neck and she shifts uncomfortably on the chair. He shifts closer to her and she moves her body backwards scared of what he's going to do. And suddenly, he reaches for her neck and starts trailing his hand on the strangle marks. His eyes holds expressions she couldn't seem to put together. Is he feeling bad for strangling her? Or should she be looking forward to another strangling? She stares at him.

"Did you apply anything on it?" He asks but Kemi didn't say anything. She simply stares at him wondering what has come over him. Why is he suddenly acting like he's worried?

“It's still looking red despite you have a dark skin." He mutters looking at the marks on her neck.

She withdraws her neck away and shifts back. “Don't bother yourself with me, it's fine. It will get better.”

William sighs and runs his hand over his head.

“Can I go now?" Kemi asks him.

He nods gesturing for her to leave. She stands and starts walking away but then, she feels a sharp pain in her leg and she winces reaching to touch her leg.She runs her hand over the stitches on the injury she got from the leopard's bite.

“I thought this thing has healed." She mutters to herself and tries to straighten up but couldn't. Just when she tries again, she feels a hand touch her shoulder.

“What's wrong?” William asks her as he stares down at her leg.

Kemi looks up to him and shakes her head. "It's fine, I can manage." She says trying to move again but winces hard as she couldn't.

“What happened? Did something cut you?”

Kemi shrugs his hand off making him stagger backwards almost to the ground as he wasn't standing properly. She turns to him with widen eyes. She didn't mean to push him that hard, she only meant to shrug him off a little since she's finding his caring self strange and uncomfortable.

"I...I said I can manage." She says in a low voice.

William sighs and without saying anything, he strides close to her and lifts her up in his arms. Her eyes widen in surprise and she struggles to get off from his arms.

“Let...Let me go, I can walk.”

William sighs and drops her on the floor but as soon as her leg touches the ground, she bit her lips trying to hide her painful sound from wincing. She straightens up and starts walking away slowly but then, blood starts flowing down her leg from the injury. As she lowers her head to look at it, William lifts her up again in his arms but this time, she didn't struggle. She just stares at him.

"You need treatment." He says staring at the blood on her leg.

She shakes her head, “Em...Don't worry.I will get treated at the underboss's mansion."

“You wanna tell me he's gonna get you treated?” William asks looking at her in disbelief.

“Well...He did get a doctor to treat it."

William starts walking with her in his arms to the car as his guards follow them from behind.

"What happened to your leg, Kemi? You proved stubbornness over there?" He asks again.

“It's a... It's a small accident..."Kemi sighs. “-Just ask the driver to take me back, please.”

William nods,“Fine then."

He carries her in his arms out of the resort building to the premises where the car is. The driver opens the back seat door and he place her inside gently. She shifts in and relax her head on the seat.

He tilts his head, “You should take care of yourself darling, you're still useful, okay?”

Kemi didn't say anything but only look at her hands. Of course she has to take care of herself, so she can act asba proper spy. She sighs as she thought.

William turns to the driver, "Ensure to drop her close to the mansion so she wouldn't have to walk too far.”

He closes the door and starts to walk away. Kemi tilts her head and stares at his back before the driver starts driving out of the premises.

The driver drops her off close to the mansion and all she has to do is to walk a little to the mansion. She enters and manages to walk over to the entrance trying hard not to limp. As she enters the foyer, she sees Lexis at the bar area drinking wine from a glass. Her eyes widen in shock and she tries to walk away quickly but she loses her balance and falls to the floor making Lexis to turn around. He stares at her with arched brows.

She glances at him before looking away. She tries to stand up but her leg is not having it. As she struggles harder, it starts bleeding the more and is already dripping on the floor.

Lexis stands up from where he's sitting and walks over to her. He looks down at her leg. “You got hurt at the place you went to?" He asks looking at her leg. Kemi places her hand on the injures spot wincing hard from the pain.

Lexis looks at the leg closely before sighing.He stretches out his hand to her. “Here, let me help." He says plainly.

She shakes her head, “Don't worry, I can manage."

He shrugs, “Okay." And then he walks back to the bar area, takes up the glass of wine he was drinking and starts walking away.

Kemi watches him leave before she looks away trying to get up. She finally manage to stand up and she limps over to the staircase. She holds the handrail for support and starts climbing up. Just then, Rose walks downstairs and her eyes widen when she sees her.

"Kemi! Are you okay?" She rushes down to her and holds her other hand. Her eyes travels down to her leg and she gasps.

“Jesus Kemi! What happened to your leg?”

“It's nothing, it just happens sometimes.”

Rose tsk at her and shakes her head, “Why're you always saying nothing even when you're hurting." She takes Kemi's arm and places it across her neck and then, she uses her other hand to hold her waist.

“Walk gently, take it easy."

Kemi nods and starts walking up the stairs slowly with Rose's support. Rose takes her into the room and helps her into the bed. Kemi lies down with her back against the bed as she bit her lips hard.

“What happened to your leg Kemi?" Rose asks as she sits beside her on the bed.

"It's a small wound. I got it earlier but..." She wince moving the leg uncomfortably."-It was already treated before but...but I just get pains from it time to time."'

Rose sighs, "I should tell Madam Teju, so she would get you a doctor."

Kemi shakes her head, “No, there's no need. She...She would get angry at you." She points to the cupboard.

“Check the third drawer, there is a first aid kit there, help me with it.”

Rose nods, “Okay." She walks over to the cupboard and pulls out the drawer. While Rose gets the kit, she manages to sit up and pulls out the document from underneath her dress.

Rose brings out the first aid kit and place it on the bed before Kemi gives the document to her.

Rose takes it staring at it in puzzle. “Isn't this the same envelope you asked me to get for you?”

Kemi nods, “Yes, please help me put it back, I...I had mistaken it to be mine. I have seen mine already.” She lies.

“Ohh, okay then. Let me help you dress your wound first." She says as she moves to start applying an ointment but Kemi grabs her wrist stopping her.

"Leave me first, go and keep the document for me, please."

Rose sighs before standing up. She takes the document and walks out of the room. Just as she places the document back into the drawer, Lexis steps in.

"What are you doing?”

She turns to him with widen eyes. "I...Uh...I came to check if I missed a spot while cleaning."

Lexis sighs and walks over to the bed. "Get out.” He says curtly.

She nods and quickly dash out of the room. She stands in front of the door breathing hard.

“Why do l feel he's getting more handsome every time l see him?" Rose giggles to herself before covering her mouth with her hands. "Get a grip of yourself Naza." She scolds herself by her tribal name before walking away from the door. As she reaches their room, she is shocked to see a strange person sitting on the chair close to the bed. The strange man has a stethoscope around his neck and he looks like a...

“A doctor?" Rose mutters or rather meant to because the doctor has heard her.

He turns to her and tilts her head, “Hello, I'm doctor Stephen." He says to her.

She smiles quickly, “I'm Rose."

Stephen nods before turning back to continue his treatment on Kemi's leg. Rose stares at him wondering how come a doctor is here.Did madam Teju call him? She wonders.

“Doctor, please can you make it so l don't feel weakened by the injury? It really hurts." Kemi says with her eyes shut as Stephen sutures the wound.

“Kemi,this wound wasn't too deep at first but it seemed you have been straining it too much and it has become deep..." He sighs before continuing.“-It has become infected again so you will need intravenous antibiotics...”

Kemi nods her head even though she doesn't know what that means.

He turns to Kemi. “Do you want to get a surgery?”

Kemi shakes her head abruptly. “No.”

Stephen sighs, “It won't heal if you don't give it a rest."

“I can't remain on the bed forever doctor."

"It's better you do that or you might lose the ability to walk later Kemi." Stephen says as he wraps her leg neatly with a gauze.

After he's done, he stands up. “I will come over again to give you the antibiotics."

Kemi nods, "Thank you."

Stephen turns to leave. "Oh doctor!" Kemi calls out and Stephen turns around.

“Yes, Kemi?”

“Did he call you?" Kemi asks referring to Lexis.

“Who, Lexis?” Stephen asks and she nods.

“Yes he did.” He answers.

Kemi moves her side to the side surprised and confused. She nods, “Oh okay, thank you doctor.”

Stephen nods and walks out of the room while Rose sits down on the chair before she turned to her.

"How are you feeling?" She asks.

Kemi nods, “I'm better.”

William sits down in the office room in his house making a call.

“Did you guys stop messing with the supplies?”

"Yes boss, everything is back to normal. We did as you asked to fool the underboss's men.” The receiver says in a deep voice.

William nods, “Perfect." He hangs up and place the phone on the table.

“This is going to be so interesting Lexis." He smiles to himself resting his head on the seat.

Lexis arrives at the family mansion and walks over to his father's room to see him. He meets his father sitting on the bed with a file in his hand and then his father raises his head up to look at him.

“Wow..." he drops the file beside him. “I'm honoured to have you visit me, son."

Lexis grins lightly and bows, "Good day father.”

“Sit sit sit." Richard says rapidly.

Lexis sits on the chair opposite his father. “So...To what do l owe this visit?”

Lexis smiles, “It's nothing too serious, I just wanted to see how you're doing as well."

Richard nods smiling widely, "Okay then. So what's the less serious thing then?”

Lexis sighs,"Well, William's messing with the supplies. I don't know his purpose but I think he's trying to frame me of incompetency."

Richard sighs, “William is always on to one thing or the other.." He shakes his head. "What did he do with the drugs this time?"

Lexis pulls out his phone and gives it to Richard. Richard collects the phone and watches the video on play. It's a video of William's men taking out from the supplies.

He sighs, “Oh William..." He shakes his head before turning to Lexis. “You could have told me on phone and send the video Lexis."

Lexis smiles, “Like I said, I wanted to see how you're doing."

Richard smiles,“Such caring son of mine. I'm doing great.”

Lexis grins, “Oh that's great. You should feel great for as long as you want." He twitches his lips.

Richard nods, “Very well my son, very well."

Lexis smiles and stand up this feet. “I'Il take my leave now, father." He bows before him and Richard nods at him and then Lexis walks out of the room.

Richard walks out of the room. He goes over to the room where William's mom, Patricia is sitting down at the floor.

“Hello Patricia..." He smirks. "Do you still fantasize or you're better now?”

Patricia turns to him and stares at him. Tears starts to stream down her cheeks as she looks at him. She got into an accident four years ago and since then, had been suffering from dementia. Sometimes when she remembers anything, she would start crying her eyes and wailing, so Richard will ask for her to locked up in the room. She had forgotten about many past events but if someone triggers it, she is sometimes forced to remember something and then, she would forget again.

Over the years,Richard completely forgot about her and didn't care about her existence anymore. She had thought if Serena was gone, Richard will love only her and would only look at her but she was wrong. Even though she never cheated on him, he still slept around different women and whenever she tried to confront him, he would have her locked up. So one time when she was very drunk, she drove and got into a fatal accident.

Since then, she been very sick. Even when she encounters Lexis, she doesn't remember him but only sees him as the underboss. Lexis does not even bother calling her by her real name. He would always call her by the names of the women Richard cheated on her with and that would sometimes trigger her memory, making her to fee|unbearable pain.

“I don't like you." Is the only thing Patricia could say to Richard as tears flows down her cheeks. Most times, whenever she encounters Richard,tears involuntarily gathers in her eyes.

Richard laughs lightly,“Oh Patricia,the feeling is mutual..." He leans close to her and whispers. “I hope you won't also survive on antidepressants."

Patricia looks away from him. "Do you remember Serena?" Richard whispers to her.

Patricia's body starts to tremble.

“It's better you remain like this so you wouldn't end up like her..." He shakes his head.

She wrap her arms around her body as her head starts to throb.She moves he hands to her head and presses them against her forehead.

Richard smiles, “Do you remember anything? Like how your father begged me to marry you?”

Patricia winces as she moves her head from side to side.

“Stop... Please..." She says desperately as she tries to reach for his wrist.

Richard puts on a straight face and walks out of the room leaving Patricia to slump on the floor screaming loudly in pain.
