THE BATTLE OF CULTS
A young woman spoke for Olana's coven. "Whether we live or die, it changes nothing!"
"Not if I kill the bride right now! It doesn't matter whether or not the seed has been planted." Jemimah changed to her human form. Then she added, "I do not want to be in the middle of all this. My bloodline was chosen long before I was born. And I'm pretty sure it's the same with all of you."
"Let's just leave this place!" Sophie suddenly shouted. Everything was still too hard for her to take in.
Jemimah walked to her and whispered to her ear, "I can't possibly leave without Jason. And that proves really difficult when he is in his present state." Then, she freed her sister from the shrub. "Trust me, I need to handle this without causing more harm."
Some members of Faya's cult were not pleased with how hesitant she had been. At last, Jemmy became nebulous again. And the rival cult swallowed their spittle. The next thing she did was to free the child that had been tied by just moving her hand. Then, with another move, she separated Jason and Ariana. The force was so hard, it flung them far away from each other.
The bride and the groom weren't done with being intimate. They were infuriated and stood together against Anolafaya. The witches of Olana's coven supported them except Roberto who had fainted. They began their chants again. This had an effect on Jason and Ariana. At that point in time, the moon had climbed directly above them.
They were outnumbered by Faya's cult and the rite of consummation had also drained the leaders of their coven of a great deal of their energy. Hence, the odds weren't in their favor. Nonetheless, they decided to go on with the attack.
Jemmy focused on Jason and Ariana while the others paired themselves against every member of the rival cult. It didn't take long before Olana's coven was defeated! But the victory was short-lived. Before any of Faya's witches could leave, Sergio and his apprentices appeared. And with them was the ancient hawk!
He walked straight to where Roberto was and stretched his hand in order to strike him a fatal blow. But Anolafaya intervened. "You will do no such thing!"
"In whose authority do you speak," the hawk asked.
"I do not answer to you or anyone here."
"What audacity!" Sergio shouted. "Do you know who you defy with your irreverent words?" He cast a gaze at Jemimah in her powerful form.
She quickly waved her hand in an attempt to strike him. But the hawk came to his rescue. "How dare you contend with someone under my protection?"
"Choose your friends rightly. The man is very treacherous and wicked!" Jemimah thundered. "Now, move aside while you still can."
The hawk pointed a finger at her. "Your blood will be on your head," he said. "Defy me one more time and I'll make you suffer before your actual death! So tell me, under whose authority do you speak?"
"I serve no one!" Jemimah was vexed. "But I swear by whatever is dear that you will die before the sun rises again. I shall take your life away from you!"
Sergio laughed when he heard what she said. "She is the inexperienced leader of Faya's coven. It is evident that the young woman is definitely ignorant of how powerful you are!"
"Silence!" The hawk hit the ground with his foot. "Let her speak for herself."
"Yes, my god!" The coach fell face down. And so did all his apprentices.
"Forgive my impatience."
Now, all eyes were on Jemimah. They wanted to see her next line of action.
Meanwhile, Robbo regained his consciousness. He noticed that the boy tied to a shrub was unharmed and that Sergio was standing in front of a group of people. He searched for Ariana with his eyes. She was lying somewhat lifeless on the ground. Therefore, his heart was broken!
His anger burned against the coach of Lordham FC. He blamed Sergio in his mind for everything that had happened to him and the woman he loved. But he wasn't upset with Jemimah.
Actually, they had planned to escape with their loved ones when he came to whisper to her ears. And knocking him out was part of it. However, there were unforeseen challenges. For example, no one thought that the coach would return with such a powerful ally.
Roberto remembered how Sergio shot him on the leg. It was Ariana who rescued him. Tears rolled down his cheek. He thought of a way to avenge his beloved. But he remained where he was for some time.
While everyone paid attention to Anolafaya, Robbo grabbed a sharp piece of wood. Then he ran towards Sergio and stabbed him from behind! It went through the man and came out of his chest!
Before one of the apprentices could lay a finger on him, the bride who had just regained consciousness as a result of the blow she suffered from Anolafaya while fighting against Faya's cult, blasted him to pieces!
The coach coughed out blood. "My father!" he said with so much difficulty. Two of his followers held him. The rest of them rushed towards Roberto and Ariana. While they weren't looking, Jason struck some of them. So, the apprentices were attacked from the front and behind.
Each time the hawk tried to heal Sergio, Jemimah and her coven fought against him. Jason and Ariana also joined forces with them.
They were still rivals. But the hawk was a common enemy. That was the only way he would be unable to help the custodian and priest of the ancient hut. Finally, one of the witches dealt Sergio a fatal blow and he breathed his last.
This angered the hawk greatly! He screamed so loud, it was almost deafening. 'I will kill the men,' he thought to himself. 'After that, all I need to do is to subdue the women and impregnate them with my seed. Then they will live to hate themselves and regret the consequences of their actions for the rest of her lives.'
The hawk and the surviving apprentices were outnumbered. So he decided to transform into his powerful state. Immediately, the night became seven times brighter than a very sunny day. No one could see him. The heat he emitted was as hot as live coals!
He attacked Jason first. And the young athlete forced his way straight to the core of the excessively bright light.
