Chapter 70: Chapter 70

"It's one question per person! And you're not the next person." Navaeh said and the guy pouted.

"I guess so." He replied with a shrug.

"How do you relax and cool off?" I asked Quinnel before someone else could even say anything else.

"A chat with my favourite person in the world." He replied with a shrug and I grinned.

"Hn, who is that favorite person in the world?" Zaire asked with a smirk.

"My Mum," Quinnel replied not minding that he was asked a question.

"Aww."

"That's dope."

"Cute."

"Gosh, I like him even more."

"Thanks." Quinnel replied with a wink and the girls started arguing on who the wink was directed at.

"Okay, Zaire... The coordinator... What never fails to make you happy?"

"Uh, my sister... Duh." Zaire replied with an eye roll and everyone chuckled.

"Jake, what is one fact about you that people would never have guessed?" Zaire asked and Jake tensed which no one realized.

Everyone eyes was on him as he gulped harshly. His fingers became clammy and sweaty and his eyes darted up and down in nervousness.

"Uhh, should I change the question for you?" Zaire asked whispering to Jake who immediately nodded his head.

"Okay, what makes you laugh hysterically?" He asked.

"Uhh, my younger sister's singing ability. God, that girl can break a speaker with that voice of hers." Jake said and everyone laughed.

He breathed a huge sigh of relief since his question had passed over. Then he turned to the girl beside him who was obviously grinning at the fact that Jake was about to talk to her!

"Uhh, what's your best part so far about this first day?" He asked and she giggled blushing heavily before she answered the question.

"This bonfire. Sitting beside you." She replied shamelessly and Navaeh shook her head lightly.

"Okay... Weird. But okay. I was expecting something like the Bryant park... But okay."

The girl giggled again and Ashley sighed. Was she an idiot?

The girl turned to her right and asked the person after her his question. Like that, the 21 questions went on before it finally came to an end once it was 21 persons that participated.

"Let's play This or That!" The person after the last player of the game, "21 Questions" suddenly grinning.

"Sure! You get to start."

"Okay, A Surprise or A Planned party?"

"Surprise!" Everyone yelled before they laughed at each other.

"Same." The girl that asked the question said with a chuckle.

"Morning or Night?" The next person asked.

"Morning!"

"Night!"

"I'll go for the afternoon." Zaire said suddenly before they would start arguing and everyone burst into laughter.

"Morning."

"Morning."

"Night."

"Morning."

"Night."

"Night."

"Night."

"Morning."

"Morning."

"Night."

"Both."

"Okay, tea or coffee?"

"Coffee!" Everyone yelled with a laugh.

"Cats or Dogs?"

"Cats, duh!"

"Dogs!"

"Bright Colors or Black and White?"

"Bright colours!"

"Black and White." A voice rang out and all eyes turned to the girl that was dressed only in black.

"Figures." Everyone mumbled and she smiled her black tainted lips spreading.

"City or Country?"

"Uhh, City!"

"Duh!"

"Have you seen New York?!"

"It's definitely city!"

"Chocolate or Vanilla?"

"Vanilla!"

"Chocolate!"

"Chocolate!"

"Vanilla!"

"Can't we change the game? There is too much yelling. I fear there would be a fight soon." Jake whispered to Zaire who nodded his head.

"Been thinking the same thing." He replied looking at their classmates.

"Guys, since there is so much argument and shouting in this game, let's play another game."

All eyes turned to Jake and they shrugged. Whatever.

"Icebreaker questions. Get to know the new kid more! Jacob Sanders!" A guy cheered and everyone egged him on.

Jake sighed.

"That cool with you?" Zaire asked and Jake reluctantly nodded. He just hoped any of their questions didn't lead to talking about his past.

"Okay, Jake... What is the first thing you notice when you meet a new person?"

"Their face duh. But some faces lie at times." He replied with a shrug.

"True though." Someone mumbled and others agreed.

"What is the one item on your bucket list?"

"A car." Jake replied.

"Oh! That's a nice thing to be on one's bucket list." Someone said.

"What was the best trip you ever took?"

"Uhh, I would say this one. Didn't have this much fun in the last trip I went to. I mean, it's not everyday you see someone get beaten half dead." He said with a wink directed to Quinnel.

"Ooh!"

"What is your favorite animal?"

"That would be a cat. I'm a cat lover."

"What was the last skill or Fact that you learned?"

"Friends are easy to come by. Just don't go near their crushes." He said and everyone threw their head back laughing at his comment.

Quinnel rolled his eyes while he turned his head to Navaeh who was busy laughing with Ashley.

"And the skill, trying to start a fire with woods is more difficult than it seems."

"I can testify to that," Zaire supported and everyone laughed again.

They were by no doubt enjoying themselves this night.

"Why did you transfer to Silva High?" Someone asked and he froze.

Navaeh saw he was having a difficulty bringing up a lie and so she helped him out.

"He said he came cause he was the only black person in his former school and I'm a black, so he wanted a black friend, we met at the park and bam! We're schoolmates."

"Oh, so he came cause of you?"

"I never said that. He came cause he wanted a black friend. Which I also do, and so we decided to be friends." She replied with a shrug and even though no one believed her, they shrugged and let it go.

Jake looked to Navaeh in gratitude and she smiled at it.

"Anytime." She mouthed and he grinned.

"What is your favorite subject in school?"

"Definitely English Language."

"Oh? Me too!"

"Same here!"

"What is.... Your greatest achievement?"

"Uh... That would be... Getting through the last three months." He said and everyone nodded though they were curious.

"Okay, let's move on to someone else." Quinnel said suddenly and all eyes turned to him.

"Uh, Navaeh, what is your worst habit?"

"I tend to walk to and fro when I'm nervous and I also always eat the meat that is meant for the toppings of Pizza." She replied and everyone chuckled.

"I eat the cheese as well."

"What's the last book you read?"

"That would be... Alpha's Gifted Mate."

"Oh? Sounds interesting. I like the title."

"It is."

"I've read that book! It's good."

"Me too."

"I didn't expect you to be into supernatural fanfictions."

"Well, don't overestimate me. I'm only human." She replied with a shrug.

"Dope."

"Describe your dream house."

The whole night fell quiet with the waves crashing the only sound that could be heard as they listened to Navaeh's dream house with interest.

One person was way more interested than the others.

Quinnel.

"I would like a not so big house but not small. The size would be perfect for me and my family. I would like a small garden at the backyard where I can plant tomatoes or something in there. Right outside the gate, there would be a roofing where people can stay from running from the rain or something. My kids room won't be very much far from mine. A comfy kitchen where we can all cook. A spacious bedroom to accommodate us without any problem. A garage to park my cars without problems. A good neighbor- That's important. A house that would be comfortable and homely. That's the kind of house I want."

"Wow, that sounds so detailed." Someone said and she smiled.

"I know. I've had this dream since I was young."

"Well, I hope you can accomplish it." The person replied with a genuine smile and her own smile widened.

"Amen. Thanks."

"You're welcome."

"Okay, let's move on to... I know, Cornelia." Ashley said with a smile pointing at her ex girlfriend who was shocked to the bone.

All eyes turned to Connie as they waited for her to agree and give them the go ahead to bring in their questions.

"Uhh, me?" She asked pointing at herself and Ashley nodded with a giggle.

"Yes. So are you in?"

"Yes. Bring it on then. The questions can't be that hard."

"Okay, What is the relationship between you and Ashley?"

"What?"

"What?"

Both ladies in question asked the same time and then they glanced at each other before they sighed.

"We're just friends."

"Uh, then what happened between you guys the past few weeks? You guys haven't been talking like before."

"What's this? A game or an interview? Those questions are getting too personal if you ask me." Navaeh retorted defending her friend with a frown on her face.
