Chapter 59: Chapter 59

Navaeh's POV

"Hey, Get in there. Quick." I said and pushed Jake into the opened elevator.

He raised a brow and I turned around to immediately close the elevator.

I went to hide behind Jake so his taller and broader build would cover me and the elevator closed right when Amelia looked into it.

I breathed a huge sigh of relief before I realized I had to explain to someone. I turned my head to Jake who was already giving me a 'What just happened?' look.

"What?" I asked with a grin and faced the elevator that was counting downwards. It stopped at the Fourth floor and people swarmed into it.

Jake immediately pulled me to himself as a man rushed into the elevator so it would not close on him and then he would have to wait for the next one. That or he took the stairs.

I looked up at Jake to see him already looking down at me. I grinned and clutched my phone in my hand.

What's wrong with me? Why is my heart beating erratically.

A phone rang and everyone looked around like they didn't know their own ringing tone! I mean, it's your phone. You should know if it's yours or not.

Then nobody picked it and the phone continued to ring. All eyes turned to me and I almost raised a brow at them, they were older, until Jake leaned down and whispered "I think it's your phone that is ringing."

"Huh?" I asked and looked down at my hand. True enough, it was my phone that was ringing.

What The Fuck?!

I turned the phone up and saw it was Quinnel that was calling. I rolled my eyes and pressed the power button so it would stop screaming into people's ears.

Then I looked up to see some people in the elevator were still looking at me. I pursed my lips and looked down at my phone.

The call came through again and the elevator dinged open the first floor. I swiped it up and placed it on my ear walking out of the elevator while people pushed themselves to go out.

You guys are freaking adults! All you have to do is wait! Is that so hard to do?!

"What?" I glowered.

"Woah, someone is being feisty."

I said nothing and he sniffed before he talked again.

"Where are you? Ash said you came to the Sixth floor but we didn't see you."

"I'm at the lobby with Jake." I said turning to Jake who was talking with the receptionist.

"We came to get juice." I replied and shrugged even though he couldn't see me.

"Jake? Hold on, let me get this straight."

"Oh God." I mumbled pinching my nose bridge.

"You came to the Sixth floor, not to see me or Zaire but Jacob?"

"Just quit calling the guy Jacob! Geez."

"It's his name. I'm not abusing him."

"It also means you're not his friend." I said and he paused.

I knew he was rolling his eyes at my sentence. Then he mumbled something along the lines of name and not being someone's friend.

"The receptionist said the dining hall is just around the corner." Jake said and I turned to him and mouthed "I'll be there."

He nodded and walked ahead with his hand in his pocket.

"Forget it. I'm coming downstairs."

"Wait, what?"

"Nothing. I'm now suddenly feeling thirsty at the mention of juice. So I'm coming downstairs to get it."

Jealous punk.

"Fine then." I replied. I didn't mind his company. Does anyone ever mind their crush's company?

Instead of his voice I heard the elevator ding indicating the door had opened. I raised a brow at the phone and was about to hang up when I heard,

"Don't you dare hang up."

I sighed and kept the phone on my ear until I saw the elevator door open behind me and Quinnel came strolling out with his phone on his ear.

"You can hang up now." he said with a smile and I shook my head before I hung up slipping my phone into my sweatpants pocket. I saw Quinnel slip his phone into his pockets as well. Before I could look at what he was wearing, a familiar voice was heard behind us.

"Dude, I can't believe you actually left us in the room."

"You said you were going for 5 minutes. How did your five minutes turn out to be the lobby?"

"Hey, guys." I greeted and they waved at me still glaring at Quinnel.

"She asked me to come." Quinnel said pointing at me and he ran away towards the dinning hall. I tilted my head at his back that was walking out in fast strides.

Should I just smack his back until it's broken?

"Come on. Let's go to the dining."

"Aren't you sleeping anymore?" I asked Ashley and she nodded.

"I was about to- I was already on the bed! -but then this buffoon and his other buffoon of a friend came knocking at the door. So I couldn't sleep again." She finished with a pout and I patted her head.

"Of course, you'll leave out the part where you almost scratched my eye out." Zaire grumbled and his sister glowered at him.

I giggled at Zaire's almost running back before Ashley smiled at me and we made our way to the dining hall arm in arm.

She was dressed in a summer red gown that had flower imprints on it. It reached above her knees and she paired it with a sandal unlike me who is wearing a slippers on my feet.

I sighed as we took our seats as I scrutinized the boys dressing.

Quinnel as hot as always, is dressed in a yellow t-shirt that looked cute as fuck on him if you ask me but my opinion probably doesn't matter.

He paired it with a basketball shorts that was black in colour. Yellow and Black just goes with each other so much.

Or maybe just on Quinnel.

I moved my eyes to Zaire who was staring lazily at the flower on the table in front of us.

He was dressed in a red hoodie that looked cute on him. Perks of being sexy. Every clothe fits you! Even if this dude and his best friend decide to appear in school dressed in trash bags, girls will still be swooned!

Zaire wore a white trouser underneath his hoodie and paired it with black Sandals.

Jake as well, who also had a fair share of hotness... Damn, aren't I lucky? I have three hot guys as my friend! Haha... He was dressed in a red tank top that showed off his biceps that obviously screamed that he worked out flexed anytime he moved his hand to demonstrate something while replying to Ashley.

He paired the tank top with a deep blue trousers and a pair of black slippers. Oh yay, someone else also wore their slippers!

"It's fun when I tried it though." Jake said and I sighed.

"So was it in my time as well. I did it with Zaire." Ashley replied.

They seem kinda close. Ashley and Jake.

"What do you wanna get?" Jake asked and I looked up.

"Apple Juice for me." I said raising up my hand with a smile like I wasn't just checking him out.

"Pineapple Juice for me." Zaire said with a similar smile.

"Uhh, Coconut juice for me." Ashley replied with a shrug.

All eyes turned to Quinnel who was glaring at Jake.

"I'll get my own drink!" He then stood up abruptly the chair scraping the floor in the process.

I snickered and immediately pursed my lips to contain my laughter that was threatening to come out.

All eyes in the dining hall turned to Quinnel and he grew pink in the face. I brought my fist up to my mouth while I darted my eyes around.

Once I met with Quinnel's, he was eyeing me like he was saying, "What's so funny?"

I shook my head and tapped my soles rapidly on the floor to distract myself.

Quinnel carried the chair before he gently placed it down and walked to the counter where a girl was.

Jake followed after him with his hands in his pockets. I feel bad for him though. Quinnel doesn't even like him that much and I don't know why. I'll have to find out. I looked at the girl whose hair was packed in a bun and was allowed to pass out through the hole at the back of her baseball cap.

I saw her blush once Quinnel flashed her a smile. I raised a brow at Quinnel who was obviously seducing the girl.

Tell me, if flashing a girl a smile even though it's not necessary is not seducing!

"I'll be right back."

Before I could even think of what I was doing, I was off the chair, pushing it back scraping the floor in the process... Just like what happened to Quinnel just now.

I saw all eyes turn to me but I paid them no mind as I marched to the girl at the counter.

Or rather the stupid sexy hunk in front of her. Oh God, did I just call Quinnel sexy?

But you also called him stupid. My mind said and I grinned.

Thanks babe.

I stopped once I had reached their side and composed myself so I wasn't grinning like a mad person.

"I know... the combination is just the best." The girl said with a giggle and I rolled my eyes at her sweet sick voice and smile. Girl, he's just playing you! He changes girlfriends like old clothes.

At least, according to the rumours he never for once stepped out to clear up.

Whatever combination they are talking about must be something dirty. Eww! I don't even want to think about it.

Quinnel was about to open his mouth to reply her and I beat him to it.

"So Quin, you got our drinks? I'm kinda really parched." I asked with a voice I didn't even know I posses. What in hell is wrong with me?!

Both eyes turned to me and they blinked. I didn't even know what to say. My really overworking brain decided to dump me right now!

Come on, Navaeh... Say something! Anything!

"Babe."

What?!
