Riley glanced around, seeing that no one was looking at their side, she turned back and glared at Joel
"What are you doing here?" She asked as Joel shrugged
"Of course I cane to the anniversary banquet" Joel replied as Riley sighed helplessly
"Then enjoy, I will go and see the other guests"
"But I'm also a guest"
"That's why I said enjoy yourself" Riley said and made to walk out but Joel held her back
"You!!! What do you think you are doing?" She asked surprised as she looked down at her wrist that was held
Before she could react again Joel already dragged her out of the hall without anyone noticing their small episode
Leaving the hall Riley pulled her hand forcefully out of Joel's hold and calmed down
"What's the matter with you" She asked
"Why were you standing with him" Joel asked
"With who" Riley looked up at him confused
"You were obviously standing with Henry or do you want to deny it" Joel complained aggrieved
"Ok, I don't know why you are so worked up but we were working inside there"
"Both of you can work separately"
"Why should we work separately?"
"Men and Women aren't supposed to be together" Joel said
"Then we shouldn't be too talking here"
"Why?" Joel asked as it was suddenly his turn to be confused
"Because men and women are not supposed to be together" Riley returned his words to him
Hearing her Joel couldn't help but keep silent, he felt a pain in his heart as he tried to stop the uneasiness growing in him
"But we have been working together" He said with a trace of bargain, he really want to know if she felt the same way as him
"And I'm just working with him for today"
"Who knows you might work together in the future"
"And so?" Riley asked
She really didn't understand whar was the matter with him and what was going on with him
"Anyway this groundless discussion is over, I did to go..." Before she could finish her words she felt something on her lips
Her eyes couldn't help but widen when it dawned on her that Joel just kissed her, she stood there in a daze without pushing him oyr or saying anything
After sometime she recovered as she reflectively pushed him away, Joel looked at her abd took a step forward while Riley took a step backwards
"You don't take a step from there" She said embarrassingly
Joel stopped moving as he heard her but no one could see the slight pain the passed his eyes
"Then I will go in first" Riley said and ran out as if she was being pursued
She returned to the hall as Henry walked up to her
"Where did you go to I've been looking around for you" He asked
"Just went to the rest room" She said as Henry nodded
"It's almost time for the ending speech, so you can go on and find Miss" He said as he walked away immediately
Riley nodded as she pushed every messy thought away from her head
"I didn't expect you to come" Liam said as he walked up to his grandfather with Lisa
"What? Are you surprised?" Mr Miller ashed as Liam shook his head
"I'm not surprised"
"Humph, If I don't come you will continue hiding such a baby from me" He said as his eyes turned to Lisa
"Hello Sir"
"Look at such a pretty doll"r Miller commented and pushed Liam aside as he took the hand of Lisa
"Is so good unfortunately you fell in love with such a bad and unfilial grandson" He said as Lisa smiled but said nothing
"I'm your grandson is" Liam couldn't help but remind him helplessly
"Humph? Who wants your grandson, I prefer a grand daughter" He said as Liam sighed but said nothing
Anyway he is happy that Grandpa really liked Lisa
"Who would have thought that such a tragedy would happen, thankfully that brat Smith really did his best to protect you" Mr Miller suddenly said as Liam and Lisa looked at him
"Don't mind my old man" He waved his hand as he noticed their sight
Lisa and Liam glanced at each other but said tlnorhing in tactic understanding
"You guys should enjoy the banquet, I will leave soon" He said as he signaled to the person behind him, who came forward immediately
"Then I will leave first and Also Pretty Doll you did great put there, you are really stronger than I expected
I wish you luck" Mr Miller said as he turned around abd walked away with the person standing behind him
Lisa looked at the back of the old man leaving as a flash of her light passed her eyes
"Your Grandfather really knows alot" She said as Liam nodded
"I think so too, no wonder he has always refused and rejected me from finding it what happened in the past"
"I don't think he cares about that right now" Lisa said as Liam nodded
"Here you are" Riley voice sounded behind them
"You are here" Lisa said as she nodded
Lisa suddry blinked and looked at her
"Huh? Why is your lips swollen" Lisa asked as she brought her face closer to take a better view of Riley
Riley's face couldn't help but redden in embarrassment
"You what are you saying, it must be my lipstick" Riley said as she took a step away from Lisa
"Really lipstick? But it is swollen, or are you allergic to the lipstick" Lisa asked confused and worried as she stretched out her havd to touch her lips
"Stop exaggerating, my lips is the swollen you must have seen it wrong" Riley yelled sightly as she slapped Lisa's hand away
"Maybe I really saw it wrong" Lisa said and moved back
"Why are you here anyway" She asked
"You should end the banquet" Riley said as she handed another paper to her
"Forget it, when everyone is tired the can go back home, I'm not climbing at the stage again" Lisa said as Riley nodded
"And you can take care of the remaing I will leave with Liam First" Lisa said as Riley glared at her
"Obviously we came together but you are leaving before me"
"Sorry" Lisa apologized with a smiled and turned to Liam walking away with him
