Chapter 110: Chapter 110
The thought of having Aiden’s knot made my legs clench, but I held back. I didn’t want him to find out about my pregnancy, not before I find a way to tell him. So when the Alpha made me stand on my shaky legs, I made an excuse of being tired. He understood. Of course, he did.
The Alpha started gathering his articles of clothing scattered around the bed and couch, suddenly halting. He turned to me, a grin spreading on his lips as he held my lacy bra in between his fingers.
"I liked this on you.”
My cheeks turned bright pink at that, and I whined in response to his teasing, reaching out to retrieve, but he grasped at my outstretched hand. He pulled me in so fast that I was left breathless as I blinked up at him. Aiden’s fingers flexed around my wrist, and he watched intently as my eyelashes fluttered with each squeeze.
“Why do you do that," I breathed out quietly, keeping my eyes closed. Liking how it felt to trust him now enough to do that. “Keep teasing me,” I added.
“It’s fun to see your cheeks turn red as a tomato. It makes me want to bite them.”
Two can play this game, I thought, pulling away, still in my panties and rucked up shirt, which I hastily slipped. Swiping a tongue over my bottom lip, I turned to him. “Sorry for not going all the way, Alpha. Maybe you can knot my mouth after I wake up.”
His head slipped forward, forehead coming to rest against me and groaning, “You can’t just say stuff like that and expect me to let you sleep, baby. If I had it my way, we’d shut the room door and not emerge for days.”
“I-I…” My face burned again at the implication of his words, wanting nothing more than that, too. Despite the desire oozing in my stomach, I managed to rush towards the bed and lay down, followed by Aiden. His arm stretched for me to pillow my head on, trying to memorise how his body fit so perfectly against mine and how secure my entire being felt.

I woke with a gasp, eyes flying open as I sat up in the bed. Blinking against the darkness, my heart started pounding in my throat. It took me a second to adjust to the unfamiliar blanket pooling at my waist and a chill in the air.
I rubbed my eyes, glancing out the single window where the sky was in hues of orange. The Alpha mumbling in the phone, shoulders rigid. I strained to hear, his deep voice muffled but unmistakable.
“Is everything alright?” The question slipped out of my mouth as soon as I saw him approaching the bed.
Aiden hummed, leaning down and his eyes glimmering under the dim lights. “Yes! Why don’t you freshen up, baby? We have to leave urgently.”
“O-Okay.”

“We’re so close,” He murmured, the cold breath hitting the shell of my ear and making me shiver. The Alpha insisted on tying a blindfold around my eyes, his hand entwined with mine as we started walking from our room. I had no idea where he was taking me, but I trusted him to volunteer silently.
Suddenly, I felt overheated, drawing in a breath. Almost there. My entire being felt jittery, threads of excitement unravelling, hands turning clammy. What could Aiden possibly plan for us?
“Rose, you are shaking. Are you alright?” He asked, and the way my name sounded coming from his lips made that fluttery feeling return, mixing with an onslaught of distress. I opened my mouth, trying to reply, to reassure. Nothing came out.
A shiver wracked my body when Aiden pressed a hand to my shoulder, his fingers warm and encompassing, anchoring me in a safe place.
“Breathe,” The Alpha whispered.
I did, a bit too quickly at first, nearly choking on my sharp inhale and wobbling on the exhale. The black cloth slowly slipped away, my eyes squinting while trying to adjust to the sudden light.
All the trees on either pathway were surrounded by beautifully trimmed grass, and precisely placed shrubberies stared back at me. Petals were strewn across the cobblestones, sticking to our shoes as we delved deeper and deeper into the square.
“It’s beautiful,” I said in an awed voice.
“This is not all. Come on!”
Aiden took the rope tied to the wooden stand nearby and helped me get in the boat, instructing me to take a seat in the second row and find the oars under the bench. Then he stepped on the side of our vessel, swinging away from land.
“Oh wow!”
He took the oars from me and slowly paddled further into the calm sea. While I just bought my legs onto the bench and hugged my knees closer to my chest, trying not to let the shifting of the boat unnerve my insides. It was a whole new experience for me— a boat ride under the dark sky.
Aiden’s fingers tapped nervously on his legs, crossing his lean legs and then uncrossing them, bringing them up onto the bench and then back down. Why was the Alpha so nervous?
I was lost to the little, mellifluous noises of the water lapping at the boat to catch the first glow overhead. Peering down, I froze with brows drawing together in confusion at the reflection of bright light in water. It took me much too long to realise that it’s not something in the water but above us. Letting out a loud gasp, my head snapped up, eyes following the glowing shape as it ascended into the sky, the lanterns invading the sky.
My hand came up to cover my mouth, entranced by sight in front of my eyes.
He let out a shout when I shot to my feet and scrambled to the front of the boat, jostling the boat dangerously.
“Rose! Be careful.”
I drowned out his voice, gripping the side of the boat tightly as I watched the dull sky illuminated by the lanterns everywhere. Whipping my head around, I accusingly stared at Aiden, voice still caught up in my throat. “What is all this? How long have you been planning this?” My voice came out breathy with my heart in my mouth.
“It’s for you.” He whispered, small and nervous, meeting my eyes. “While we were watching that movie with Fauna, you seemed happy. I can never stop thinking back to that day, so it gave me an idea, and I went along with it.”
Tears brimmed in my eyes, and without thinking, I threw myself onto him—wrong move. The weight shifted to one side of the boat, sending us toppling in the cold water. Panic seized in my body, but the Alpha was quick to wrap his arm around my waist while his other handheld onto the edge of the boat.
“Moons! Are you alright?”
“Yes!” I wheezed.
“I got you.”
With my chattering teeth, I let out a laugh, soaked with my hair plastered to my face and clothes sticking to my body like a second skin. Lifting my arm, I caressed his cheekbones, the slope of his nose, the cut of his sharp jaw, a smile curving on my lips.
“Sorry for ruining the surprise and also thank you for this, Aiden. I am so loss at words…I truly feel like a princess now.”
“That was the plan, baby! Also you do not have to apologise for anything. We will be okay.” Aiden said, his eyes twinkling and he leaned forward, enough for his damp forehead to rest against mine. His scenting was obvious, but I could only smile through my tears, so happy as I could hear his shaky inhale. I placed my ear right over his loud heart and sunk teeth on my lower lip, placing my hand right on his sternum.
Carefully Aiden took another vital breath that moved me from my position on his chest, bringing his other hand to the side of my face. I wrapped my arms around his neck for support.
“There’s a reason I did all this for you….” He slowly started, chill started to seep in our bodies, goosebumps pricking at my skin. Taking a deep breath, his eyes clashed against mine, face wet with water droplets. “You are my true mate, Rose.”
