Chapter 49: Chapter 49

Kyle felt so troubled.

Having feelings for Ryan was a huge thing to him, but now, he had to deal with four men. Unluckily, two of them were his close friends.

“Hi, Kyle!” someone greeted him while he was walking around the campus.

Kyle gave a faint nod and smiled. Even if he’s shy toward women, he could not be ignorant.

Kyle saw Ryan from afar as he was about to enter the building. He had no idea how to face Ryan. However, he couldn’t fight the need to see her and talk to her right now.

“Ry…”

Kyle stopped when he saw two men blocking Ryan’s way.

“Miss, do you like to join our club?”

“You will enjoy it!”

“Sorry,” Ryan answered. “I am not interested in joining a club.”

Kyle knew that Ryan was too busy to join a club. She even had no time to rest and relax in their boarding house.

“Wait a minute. You look familiar. Are you Ryan Mcguffin? The one I saw from the online campus news?”

“Damn. She is really that girl!”

“The woman who lives with five men, right?”

“Your quite cute.”

Feeling sh*tty and uncomfortable, Ryan moved one step backward.

“Sorry. I have no time for this. Can you just move away?” Ryan asked.

But the two men were stubborn.

“Miss, what about living in our boarding house instead? We’re all guys there. Just in case you already got tired of those five men’s d*ck,” one joked.

The rude men looked at each other and laughed, which really seemed disruptive for Ryan.

Kyle saw and heard everything. He loves peace more than anyone. But at times like this, it would be hard for him to control himself.

Kyle approached the troubled Ryan and held her arm.

“Ryan.”

Ryan looked back. She was surprised to see Kyle, moreover during that time.

“You still have a class. You should go,” Kyle said, giving Ryan a chance to flee.

“Who is this guy?” one of the two men asked.

“Kyle Everette from… architecture department? I think he’s living with Ryan in the same boarding house.”

After knowing Kyle’s identity, the two men decided to approach the infamous man from the architecture department.

“Wazzup, dude. You’re Kyle, right?”

Kyle didn’t reply and only sent a sharp look. As ignorant as they can be, the two men continued to mock.

“How was it? Did you enjoy having one woman in the same house?”

“Share some experience, dude. Was it one and one? Threes*me? Or a harem?”

That was sex*al harassment. It’s a joke that went beyond ‘under the belt.’ Ryan felt so mad at these perv*rted men. If Kyle wasn’t there, she would punch them right away. However, Ryan knew that she had to keep calm to stop Kyle.

‘I can’t let him be in trouble just because of me,’ Ryan thought before she held Kyle’s arm and gently pulled him.

Ryan and Kyle were punished for climbing up onto the gate. Ryan wouldn’t want to experience that again.

“Let’s just go, Kyle.”

She pulled Kyle, hoping this would be the end.

But…

“Five d*cks at one time. That’s hella wild.”

Kyle shook Ryan’s hand.

Before Ryan could pull him back, Kyle was already jolted toward the two men. He swung his fist and punched the guy who dropped the rude remark!

“Kyle!” Ryan shouted. “No! Kyle!”

She ran to his back and wrapped her arms around his waist. Ryan tried to stop the fight, but Kyle was strong.

Kyle exchanged punches with the two men. And perhaps because his body was larger than theirs, it was easy for him to subdue the enemies.

But being a hero doesn’t always have a happy ending.

After the fight, Kyle and Ryan were called to the guidance office.

Ryan explained what happened, and the counselor decided to punish the two rude men. However, Kyle was given a light punishment for initiating violence in school.

That is to clean a storage room that has a decade of dust in it.

“This will be long,” Ryan commented while holding a mop.

They were inside a theater club storage room. The room was so dusty and dirty, they might have spent two hours cleaning the place.

“I couldn’t believe you’d resort to violence. Among the five, you were the calmest,” Ryan nagged Kyle.

Kyle sighed before answering, "Sorry. I felt so bad after hearing everything they said about you.”

Then there's silence between them.

Ryan and Kyle couldn’t look at each other. They kept their eyes on North.

Because Ryan knew that Kyle has feelings for her, it made her feel so awkward.

“Well, let’s clean the room now,” she said.

Kyle snatched the mop from Ryan.

“I can do it. Just go to your class.”

“What? I can’t leave you behind, Kyle. I need to help you.”

“You don’t need to. I can finish this by myself. Really.”

Kyle smiled at Ryan to reassure her that he was going to be fine. But Ryan was stubborn.

“It was partly my fault why you ended up here. I can’t just leave you alone. Please, let me help.”

With a sigh, Kyle held her shoulder and pushed her from the back.

“It will be my job, Ms. Mcguffin.”

“No, Kyle. Just let me h…”

Kyle pinned Ryan on the wall.

Ryan froze.

He placed his hand on the wall, near her head, and looked at him in a close gap. His eyes met hers, and their breaths mingled.

“W-What are you doing?” Ryan asked nervously.

Instead of answering, Kyle bent his arms and leaned his elbows on the wall, causing the gap between them to narrow.

Ryan barely breathes.

“Aren’t you scared?” the good guy asked in an evil voice.

“Afraid of what?” she whispered.

“Of me,” he murmured. “I am kind, yes, I am. But don’t forget that I am a man. There are hidden things from a guy who likes you, that simple kindness cannot conceal.”

He sexily bit his lower lip, while Ryan froze into a figure of ice.

“Are you sure I would not do anything here? When you know I like you?”

His lips inched hers. They did not touch. But when Kyle blew air on her lips, goosebumps appeared on Ryan’s skin.

Ryan moved away. She ran out of the room without looking back at Kyle!

Guilty, Kyle looked in the direction where Ryan went.

He had no choice.

“I only did that so you will stop being stubborn,” Kyle said.

He raised his hand and brushed his lips.

“Because I really think I might really kiss you if you stay here longer.”

A grin appeared on the good boy’s lips.
