Chapter 93: Chapter 93
Just as she holds on to the doorknob, he reaches for her and grabs her by her waist and turns her to myself. She gives him a hard and questioning look, but he ignored and let his finger stroke her soft rosy cheeks and she throws her face away in disgust and her hand flattens in his chest and she pushes him back, but his arms around her only get tighter.
She feels incredibly frustrated, but not angry, she wasn't angry because she knew that would be the worse way of communicating with him, especially since he's hell-bent on doing what he wants. There are other ways of knocking some senses into him.
"Let me go right this minute, Mr Gate."
'Damn it! Why can't she stop calling him with that formal name?' He wonders.
"You know my name."
She struggles to set herself free from his strong hold, "That name is for your friend and family to call, and sadly I'm neither of the two."
"Is that what you think?"
He asks then immediately realises that she has a point he's neither her family nor her friend.
To her, he was just someone she used to know.
She stops struggling and turns her head to properly look at him; her eyes are cold, hateful, emotionless and without any feeling whatsoever. "That's what I know, now let me go before you regret it." She shoves him back hard on his chest.
He lets her go and she adjusts her ruffled dress before looking up at him in disappointment, "I thought we could reach an agreement, but you're having a bizarre way of thinking. If I wasn't here on your mother's request I would have resulted to suing you for harassment." she slams, sounding irritated and annoyed.
He shouldn't have taken hold of her he should have controlled himself no matter how he was feeling, but this is Taylor.
And he must admit she looks really hot when she's angry.
"Taylor—" He begins to say, trying to find the best words to use to apologise to her, but she cut him off angrily with her finger.
"This is the last time it is gonna happen."
"Fine, this will be the last time then." He answers, and before she could contemplate the meaning of his words, his lips close down on hers, kissing her with passion and abandon and the need which seem to have ruled over him these past years.
She pushes him back and her hand collides with his face before he can say a word. The slap did sting, but the look on her face does the most havoc to his heart and although she glares at him like a psycho, the hatred in her eyes for him is heartbreaking.
"I'm sorry." He apologizes, finally feeling remorseful for his actions.
"You have no right, Mr Gate!" she said through gritted teeth.
"I know and I'm sorry," he apologizes again, not really because of what just happened, but because of everything that had happened the last four years. "Taylor, I'm sorry for everything I've done to you the last four years Taylor."
It is going to take more than a mere apology to make up for what he had done to her, but an apology is going to be the first step to make amends.
She grits her teeth, trying to ignore both the past which he's trying to bring up and the remorseful tone in his voice. She doesn't care or want to talk about it and it irritates her that he does, "It's the past, Rory, there is no reason to go back to it."
"But still I hurt you, and I know you don't want to remember or think about it, but it doesn't change what I did to you." She moves back and crosses her arms over her chest blankly staring at him. "I know you, Taylor."
"Do you?" she demands, challenging him with her eyes.
If he knew her then why did what happen between them happen, why did he shut her out? Why did he hurt her the way he did? These questions are question that goes through her head as she stares at him.
"I do," he takes her hand into his and rubbing a small circle on them with his fingers he stares into her stormy grey eyes. "My sin was thinking I didn't know you four years ago and I'm sorry." He tilts her head to look at him and for the first time in the past twenty-minute, he feels like he knows this girl he now sees. "Forgive me." he pleads, his eyes desperately needing her forgiveness.
"Okay."
He breathes down and smiles as her tension eases around him and nodding, she opens the door and walks out of his office. And Rory's eye follows behind her watching her every movement and he has to admit that her full curves are weakening too, damn!
What had happened to her in these past four years to give her such a heavenly figure? He wants to know what had happened. He knew she was going to be the death of him and now he knows that death is the literal death.
His eyes follow her only to stop when she gets to someone quite masculine and Rory know it's a man. Her hands swing to his neck and pulling him down, she kisses him.
The kiss takes Keenan by surprise nevertheless he kisses back, wrapping his arms around her small waist and pulling her to himself and as he kisses her deeper he feels her melt against him.
It has only been yesterday, but he had missed her it was forever both she and Reign and although he told himself he was going to stay away, he knows he will never be able to. They pull away and Keenan wonders what had happened to her over the night to make her this way with him, having her walls down and giving in to him. Whatever it is, it's a good thing and even though out in public, he knows his feelings and emotion are everywhere.
Rory face drops as he silently stares at the events unfolding before his eyes. The look on Keenan's eyes as he beholds Taylor is with nothing short of true love and passion and this doesn't help Rory's already breaking heart. The reality happening before his eyes isn't one he'd expected, neither is it one he should have ignored. He shouldn't be so surprised, she had gone off the radar the same time Keenan cut off all forms of communication and left for Italy, he knew that he had gone with her.
Keenan must have been the reason she had gotten so furious when he forcefully kissed her, not that he even had the right to kiss her without her permission in the first place, but he should have realized a lot of things must have happened over the last four years.
Her love life must have changed and although it hurts him to admit it, they both do look like the perfect couple. These four years he'd prayed to see her again and now that he has, his heart is breaking. She had gone with him years ago and he was wrong for not thinking that she could have begun a relationship with him over those years.
A relationship with a better man, a better lover.
Someone who wasn't messed up in the head or emotionally insecure.
Taylor's arms are around Keenan's neck and she kisses him on the lips again and when they pull back, she's smiling happily at him and the happiness in his eyes cannot be brushed off or suppress because it comes from the inside out.
"I missed you." He tells her as his hand stroke her soft tender face.
How stupid he'd been to think he could stay away from her, it's been only a day since he'd last seen her and it felt like forever and he felt he was going to go crazy if he didn't see her. When he saw her message asking him to come and pick her up for lunch, he couldn't refuse.
He wanted to see her, but having her kiss him and stare at him with so much gladness was a thing that only happens once in forever with Taylor. The look on her face is priceless and he's glad he's the reason for that.
"I missed you too, Keenan," she admits, finally being honest with her emotions.
"I'm sorry I left the way I did yesterday I—"
She places her hand on his lips to silence him and she bites her lips anxiously while he smiles deeply. "We have all day, Keenan."
He closes his eyes and tries not to think of all the things he wants to do to her the rest of the day, but he must snap out and be civilized. "How's Reign?" he asks as he opens his eyes stares into her grey eyes apologetically, "she must be angry that I wasn't able to come and see her on her first day at pre school.
"She'll forgive you; you always have your way of wooing her heart." She reasonably tells him.
He nods in admission, "I guess so, I miss Reign."
"Hello, Keenan?" Comes Rory's voice to disrupt their happy moment and Taylor scowls inwardly.
Keenan lets go of Taylor's waist as he turns to Rory, his long time best friend. "Hello, Rory." He says happily as Rory offers him a small smile. "Long time no see, bro." he casually says, offering Rory a hand to shake and Rory he takes it, looking happy to see his best friends for the first time in four years.
"You too." Rory smiled broadly before letting go of his hands to stuff them into his pockets and he also hopes he can do that to his emotions as well. "I guess we have a lot to talk about since it's been four years." He makes emphasis on the 'a lot' as his eyes scan Taylor physical appearance, wanting her to give something off and getting frustrated when she doesn't get affected.
Every resentment Rory's had for Keenan he let them go over the years when he realized he was only trying to help, he just hopes Keenan would too.
"Definitely, Rory we've got a lot to discuss." He agrees with a nod.
'Yeah and well start with why the hell you're kissing my woman?!!!' His inner thought screams, but he shuts it off.
"We should go," Taylor's voice cuts their discussion short and they both turn to her, but her eyes remains on Keenan, causing Rory's heart to bleed even more. "if we want to have lunch before picking Reign up from pre school."
Rory brow furrows as he gets lost in their discussion and he can't help asking. "Who's Reign?"
And finally, her eyes turn to him with a neutral expression and she replies. "She's our daughter."
