Chapter 88: Chapter 88

Third POV

Seven Thirty-nine p.m.

"Baby, you're ready?" Taylor asks, coming into the room where Rachel is putting on the finishing touch on the girl's pink Cinderella dress. "Dad is waiting."

"Yes, mommy do you like my Cinderella dress?" She moves towards me and sways a little so her full gown danced around beautiful and her brown hair also sway perfectly on her shoulder as she does this. Her hair was beautiful almost like her father Taylor thought. She knew Reign wasn't stupid and as a matter of fact, she was smart and would have started asking questions like why her hair wasn't ginger-like Keenan blonde like hers.

So a few months after her first birthday, Taylor changed her hair colour to brown leaving only a little blonde trail at the side so she's have something to say when the time comes.

"Sì, amore, adoro totalmente il tuo vestito da principessa (Yes, love, I totally adore your dress, princess.)" Taylor replies with a nod.

"Grazie mamma (thank you, mommy.)"

"Tu sei il benvenuto, amore (You're welcome, love.)" she smiles down at her.

"Love you too, mommy."

"So let's get going now shall we?"

"Why are we all here?" Asks Jack, he suspiciously glances around immediately he enters and sees Jake and Josh standing and looking at each other in confusion. His eyes dart to Mycole, suspicion written all over it.

Over the years bad blood had grown between Mycole and Jack because according to Jack, Mycole could have seen and figured out where Taylor had gone, but when Mycole told him he couldn't, he thought he was lying to them. Jack considered Mycole a betrayer and Mycole didn't blame him, although he had not told a lie about not knowing where Taylor was, he was guilty of some other things. Like not telling the three Js Taylor was pregnant with Rory child before she left. According to Taylor, if the three Js, especially Jack knew about the baby he would feel compelled to tell Phoebe the truth and she would tell Rory because she is her brother and Rory would come searching the whole earth, not for her, but her baby and she didn't want that.

So she made him swear not to tell the three Js no matter how desperately he wanted to. Jack thought he knew where Taylor was when in the real truth, he didn't. He didn't know why, he could always see a glimpse of her being okay, sad, moody, depressed, but he never for once saw where she was, and after so many tries he gave up figuring Taylor didn't want to be found. So he respected her decision.

"We have not had something like this in years, I thought we could do this like old-time," Mycole replies with much reasoning, offering Jack a friendly smile, one Jack refused to return, but Jake and Josh returns his smile.

Jack isn't the stupid teenager he uses to be and for sure he knows something is up, but can't just wrap his finger around what is. With Mycole anything was possible and he knows he didn't call to just have some stupid dinner.

"I know you don't trust me, Jack, and I get it, I let you down, all of you," he looks at the other faces in the living room, "but believe me, I never lied to you about not knowing where your sister was, I did see her in many visions, but never for once did I get a full view of where she was. I know tonight is still going to be a total disaster, but I hope we can have that understanding."

"Abby made a very delicious Chinese fried rice, we are all gonna love it." He announces, changing the subject and he walks to where the brunette is serving the last bow of chicken wings and taking her by the waist, he spins her around and she giggles, wrapping her arms around his neck, her grey eyes fixed on his blue ones. "It smells heavenly, Abby!" He murmurs into her neck and her giggles turn into a light moan as his lips meet her neck and she bites her lips longingly.

"I guess I should say thanks." she forces herself to say, pulling away from them.

"No! I should be the one saying thank you for taking the time to make this perfect meal." He kisses her lips deeply, making the other men in the room make a weird and loud noise and murmur around and he pulls back.

"I don't need to see that and you both will have to stop doing that unless you want me throwing my intestine up since I've been so busy all day that I haven't had the time to eat," Jake tells them, moving past them to take-more of claim his own seat.

Mycole pecks Abby's lips and mumbles a "We'll finish this later," making his wife blush adorable, slowly he let her go and turn to the rest silent two, who were gawking at them.

"What are you looking at, bet you do that with Phoebe too." he finishes his sentence, looking directly at Jack.

This makes Jack grin devilishly, his emotion coming into a jovial and light tone. "Aha yeah, I do! We've done it everywhere already except the dining table, would be fun to try that out tonight," he replies his grin turning into a goofy one.

"Ah! You're disgusting." Jake make a disgusted face at his brother and sticks his tongue out. "I won't be eating at your dining table next time I come visiting then."

"It's just the table, not on the plates." Jack rolls his eyes, but still manages to grin at Jake. "Besides sex is far from disgusting Jake, it's one great gift God gives to every human and a privilege for married couples, even Mycole agrees with me."

Mycole's cheeks grew warm, he hasn't been one to brag or talk about sex much, but Jack is always going to make him dirty. He wasn't related to them, but after Taylor left, he somehow became like a big brother to the three Js and though he had done his best to be engaged with them, sex talk wasn't his strongest point.

"Yeah, but for the safety of others, we should leave out the dining table," he replies.

Jack groans in defeat, Mycole is clearly and totally not on his side on this or is he? "Fine you win this time, but only this time."

Mycole laughs and nod in response.

"Can we eat now?" Asks Josh impatiently, already holding the chopsticks in his right hand and knife in the left. "I think I just grew old listening to the three of you!" He dramatically makes a face indicating his boredom.

Without another uttered word, they walk to the table and take their seats.

About twenty minutes later, the doorbell rings and Mycole jolts in panic, and loses his chopsticks and knife, making everyone at the table frown and Jack raises an eyebrow. He knows who is at the door, he also knows it was the last person they all want to see right now.

"I'll get the door." Abby begins to say when Mycole runs up hastily.

"No, I'll get it!" he says, walking away from the table to the door and leaving the rest to wonder what has happened to him in the last one minute the knock came.

Mycole hastily walks to the door and opens it and there stands Taylor, looking exactly as he'd seen her a couple of the time in the little glimpse and visions he's had of her. She's now grown, matured- different. Although he will recognise her any day he sees her, he still knows there is a lot of difference in her presence and physical appearance.

Her skin colour a little toned from the girl he knew four years ago and maybe it could be the fact that the climate of the two continues was different. Her hair instead of its natural straight shiny blonde is now a curly dirty brown colour and her eyes grey instead of its natural sea blue colour and as Mycole inspected her closely, he notices the sophisticated make-up on her face, something the old Taylor hardly uses only for a special event, except if she considers the dinner a special event too.

She looks beautiful regardless and he is happy to see her well after so many years.

"Taylor," he says her name as he stared at her anxious and uncertain.

"Mycole," she breathes out offering a casual smile one Mycole is sceptical about, so he just ushers her in.

Before Taylor left four years ago, Mycole just got the house, with the help of his mom and had the house in place enough to accommodate them. Taylor carefully glances around, noting all the changes that now is. The doorway colour is no longer it's navy blue, but now happy pink one that is of either a newly born baby girl, or an extremely girly girl Taylor thought to herself. Taylor can't deny the fact that Mycole has changed in his dressing and speaking and on the phone, she never for once thought of him as mature.

The things four years can do to a person.

And now seeing him she knows he has also changed, his hair is longer and she had never considered Mycole as one who'd keep a beard on his face, but as it is, he seems to be nurturing a beard under his chin and she considers it a good change.

She smiles as she steals another look at him. "What?" he asks, with a brow raised.

"Nice beard, Mr." she winks at him and he fights the wide grin that takes charge of his face.

"Abby says it's manly and hot," he replies in his own defence, rolling his eyes.

"Well she's right, you look mature now." she concurred.

"The beard didn't make me look mature, four years did."

"I'm guessing the Js would be different as well," she asks, rhetorically and they both step into the living room area.

"Who's that?" Jack asks, his tone of voice curious and demanding as Mycole walks into the dining, but before Mycole can open his mouth to answer, Taylor does.

"Hello, brothers."

Her voice seems to trigger something in the young men seated around the table as they all stared at their long, gone sister who had left without a reason four years ago, maybe they could finally get some answers after these years.

Hopefully, they won't have a disastrous dinner tonight. Mycole thinks to himself quietly.

"What are you doing here?" demands Jack with a stern voice.

It is already official, disaster is on the way.
