Chapter 67: Chapter 67
Twenty minutes later
Rory pulls over in front of a big, white beautiful mansion and Rory help me out of the car and we walk inside. On our way, Rory told me he wanted to show me his house and wanted me to spend the night with him and after fifteen-minute of argument I gave up because I knew there was no way I could win with him.
We walk into the house and he asked if I wanted to take a bath and I replied yes so he prepared a bathtub in the room which he said was mine.
After showering, I put some new clothes set on the bed and walk to the living room where Rory is presently seated on a sofa with a glass of wine in his hand. My feet slacks and it sends me a trill of pain to the rest of my body as I walk towards him and I hiss a groan, making Rory turn to me. I bite my lips and my eyes close trying to access the pain mentally than physically.
I feel myself being lifted from the floor and when I open my eyes, I'm already in Rory's hands and I wrap my hand around his neck as he guild his feet towards the sofa and lower me down on it, his eyes not breaking contact as he does this.
"What's wrong?" He asks, his hand gently brushing the strand of my hair away from my face.
"I think I sprain my leg while I was walking towards you," I answer and his hand takes both of my legs and put them on his lap.
"Which one is it, love?" He asks carefully
"The right," I reply and his hand goes to my right leg and gently fondle it, helping to reduce the pain. His hands are so warm tender, and soft and his touch are weakening to the pain and igniting the little small feeling running through my body.
"Better?" he asks.
Unable to answer, I nod my head, still hoping that he keeps the work on and when he continues I relax and close my eyes.
"When you said you took me to the dinner as your fiancée..." I trail off but end up in silence, not knowing how to place the rest words and regretted why I'd started in the first place.
"I meant it." My eyes open to meet his earnest greens eyes and my gaze falls involuntarily. He reaches his right hand to my chin and pushes my face up until my gaze meet his. "I'm just waiting for you to accept me and my proposal and if it was up to me, you would be my wife already."
"Really?"
"Yes." he nods, his eyes sparkling beautifully as he smiles. "You know that too."
"Well, ask me now?"
He shakes his head, "The setting is not really what I pictured."
My nose scrunches up. "It might be the only chance you will get handsome," I say with a quick wink.
He takes a brief thought then mutters "Okay." He lets go of my legs, making me whine a little and get down on one kneel and he dips his hand into his pocket and brings out a small black box. My eyes widen in surprise, I know I asked for a proposal, but I didn't know he was that prepared.
He opens the box that reveals a black diamond ring. "Will you marry me, Taylor Snowfall and make me the luckiest man on earth?"
I nod, and he smirks mischievously. "Love, I need your word to know if you will."
"Yes. I will marry you, Rory John Gate?" He put the ring on my finger and bringing it to his mouth, he kisses it.
He kisses my lips, murmuring 'I love you' and all I want him to do is love me tonight.
I open my eyes alone in bed and I pull myself up to a sitting position, rubbing my eyes slowly and looking around the room for any sign of Rory, but finding none. Last night was unforgettable, as Rory had kept up to his words of loving me. Every inch of my body still bears witness to his strong arms, wet tongue, soft lips and tender touch and how they ignited a fire in me which I never thought I had before and I was ready to meet his every little need with my mouth, hands and lips. We couldn't get enough of each other even after the fifth hour. We finally fell asleep in each other's arms, trying to be as much comfort as the other partner was being.
I pull the covers off myself, revealing Rory oversized T-shirt I fell asleep in last night and begin to climb down the bed. I spot my phone and a letter on the nightstand and I pick it up and it reads.
Got an urgent call at work, and as much as the sight of you sleeping is priceless, I have to miss it today. Breakfast is on the dining table, I made your favourite, hope you like it. See you soon, stay lovely.
Rory
I smile down at the letter in my hand that my cheeks are about to fall off. I can't believe he had the time to make breakfast before leaving. Last night we'd talked about our marriage plans and he said to make it next to two weeks Friday. I argued that it was too soon, and we should take it slow, but he made the choice acceptable to me when he pins me to the bed and kissed me breathtakingly until I had to give up. He also stated how desperate he was to make me Taylor Snowfall Gate and I have no problem with that. We also talked about like and dislike and our favourite food, dishes, dessert and snack and although I'm still struggling to start cooking, I promised that I will make his favourite dish one day.
I pick up my phone and walk into the living room still feeling the soreness in my leg and the little sting of the love bites Rory had left on my neck and I groan at how real it still feels even until this moment.
He made sure he imprinted himself in my memory and made sure I won't quickly forget.
I walk over to the dining table and I notice a perfect arrangement of already served breakfast like the one would get at a hotel if they were ever to order. I open the plates up and there it is egg sauce and Irish potato chips with a glass of apple juice. The aroma is heavenly and I shamelessly moan in delight as I take the first bite and realise it is perfect. I finish eating and take the juice to drink it when my phone begins to ring.
Seriously? Can't I just have this perfect meal without interruption?
I pick my phone up and the caller ID is Keenan. I roll my eyes and sigh having a mood swing already. I answer the call and place the phone to my ear.
"What do you want, Keenan?!" I bite out harshly at him.
"Calm down, tiger, you didn't finally pick my call to yell at me did you?"
"What do you want?" I ask, ignoring his idiotic question.
"See that's your problem." he snaps, and if I didn't know better I'd say he's angry. "You think I always want something from you, but guess what, I don't want anything from y-"
There is a ruffling noise from his side of the line and it goes silent.
"Hello?" I say slowly, hoping the noise is nothing bad.
Like you'd care if it was bad.
"Hello, Taylor, I need your help." Bethany fragile voice comes up from the other line sending a cold, bad sensation through my whole body
My heart clench realising that this must be the reason why Keenan called, silly me didn't even give him a chance. I begin to think the reason she's decided to call me and it skips a beat as the thought of her being in trouble consume me.
"What's wrong?"
"Can I see you?"
I scan my brain for the answer, can she see me? Surely I'm not doing much at the moment.
"Sure. Where are you?"
"I'm at Keenan's house, I'll send you the address."
"Okay. Send it while I go get ready."
"Thank you so much for this."
"I've not done anything yet, so you shouldn't thank me. I'll be there as fast as I can." I answered before ending the call and dropping my phone down beside me.
