Chapter 39: Chapter 39
When Paris called me in the morning, waking up from my beauty sleep and said we were to meet up later in the day mumbling about the arrangements and our dresses for the engagement, I knew I was not among those she had given break yesterday. No of course not, there was a reason I was her personal assistant and I knew better most privileges would not rub off on me.
Keenan had dropped me off last night after collecting my phone number and I threatening to have his balls with a knife if he ever dared to sent creepy stuff into my phone. He went pale and promised he would not, because according to his own words. "Loves to still be able to have adorable kids with you." I still didn't give him my name and after he guessed about ten wrong names I told him to save whatever it was he thought my name was, and he chose Sofia.
I did not let him meet the three s because I wasn't that crazy to have them meet him and ruin my name as well as put me to shame by throwing me at him like a bone to a dog. I'm not judging, but when you've lived with people for almost eighteen years, you know what they are capable of.
That didn't stop him from giving me some pretty good advice if Rory was to come my way or confront me in any way. So let's say I'm ready and equipped to deal with whatever temptation Rory brings my way today.
So help me God.
I get up and walk into the bathroom in my towel to quickly take my bath when I hear a quite familiar car horn blaring from outside.
I come out of the bathroom and walk to my window and pulling out the curtain a little to see, I see the same red sports car that I'd enter last night parked outside a little further away from the house, I don't see anyone, but I know for a certain it's Keenan.
What part of having his balls did he not understand?!
I pull my hair away from my face and swing my blue dress over the head and quick Jean trousers, I run out while zipping up my jean, down to the living room where the three Js and mom are and everyone gives me a weird face.
"What up with the sleep hair?" Jack ask from the table they are standing before, I guess about to get breakfast.
"Nothing." I lie, impatiently wanting to disappear from the living room.
"Where are you going? And in such a hurry?" Jake raises an eyebrow as he collects the jug from Josh's hand and poured the water in it into the white ceramic bowl before him.
"I threw my phone out of the window." I explaining with a hand gesture.
"Why?" Josh asks.
"Tell you when I get back," I reply, opening the door and walk out before another question is thrown at me.
I walk out of the house, down the street and angrily towards the red car that's parked. I'm angry and more than anything, I do want to have a crazy catfight right now.
The door opens and Keenan comes out of the car in a red long sleeve and black trousers, which is a good thing because this way I wouldn't have to waste my anger knocking on the door of the car. I rush at him when I get closer and he in turn moves backwards from me.
"What part of STAY AWAY did you not understand?" I roar.
His eyes widen in fear as he keeps moving back. "Oh my gosh, you're really angry."
I point my finger at him, my face going red immediately. "You do not have ears, do you?
His hand goes over to his ears and raises a scary brow at me. "I do?"
"No, you don't, stupid, if you did, you'll know I said to stay away from my family." I reach my hand to grab him by his shirt.
He holds my hand immediately and a surprising gasp escapes his mouth and he looks up at me from my hand. "You were really serious about ruining my chance of having babies weren't you?"
I give him the most ridiculous look I can muster and his eyes drops down to my hand grabbing hardly at his belt?
How did it go there?
"Come on, girl, have pity on me." I glare at him, "or maybe on the children that are still in my loins?"
"Urrh." I let out an enraged throaty noise. "You're so annoying." I let go of his belt and draw my hand away from his.
"And cute? Yes?" He asks
I roll my eyes fighting the blush that creeps into my face at his silly remark.
"You're crazy," I reply instead forgetting what it is I am about to say.
"Yep, but not like you." He says with a crossed look. "What's wrong with you girl? Look at your hair girl! If I didn't know you I would have said you look like you were having wild sex and ran out undone."
He just said it!
"It's not sex hair, weirdo, it's sleep hair besides what are you doing here?"
"Did your guy call again?"
I shake my head and he grins, probably thinking what a genius he is. I fold my arms over my chest. "That's not the answer to my question, why are you here?"
"Came to take you out." He simply answers.
"Out. Who says I'm going out with you?"
He stuffs his hands into the pocket of his black well ironed suit trousers, before speaking in a organises voice. "The dinner date is tonight so you're gonna have to shop for the right clothes to wear." He finishes and takes a long breath like he has given a long speech.
"I'm not going."
"What?!" He exclaims, "come on, Sofia please?"
"I don't do shopping, because I don't like it."
"What girl doesn't like shopping?"
"She's standing before you right now," I say with a defiling look.
He tries to say something, but he stops himself before he can begin. He turns away from me and leans on his car, his face buried on the top and he stays that away.
"Why don't you like shopping?" He mumbles quietly that I almost miss it.
Because the only person I've gone shopping with all my life is Toby and I do not want to re-live that experience.
Now if I need to shop, I just ask the three Js to get me what I need, but I do not plan on telling Mr weirdo over here that.
"It's none of your business, weird strangers."
He turns to me in that instant, "It is my business, young lady, we made a deal."
Why does he have an Italian accent all of a sudden?
"The deal was to go on a date, not on a shopping spring," I tell him. "Since when do you have an Italian accent?"
He frowns but doesn't get angry at anything I say. "I have an Italian accent, you just didn't realise it, besides it is clearer when I'm angry."
He's angry with this look? Oh man, he should see Rory get angry.
"And yes we didn't have a shopping deal, but you need to look presentable for tonight, you're not gonna appear in rags, you'll be meeting the Hiltons for his heaven sake."
I don't know if he means it the way I'm taking it, but he just said my choice of clothing is not presentable and I also do not want to get too emotionally driven, but I don't want to be here, with him the next minute.
"Leave." I turn and begin to walk away from him as fast as my legs can take me to my house. I hear him calling Sofia, but I chose to ignore it and I ran inside and shut the door. I place my head on it as well as lean my body on it and closing my eyes for a brief second, I recollect what just happened.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"I know you're there, please open up."
I jump away from the door, my heart beating and racing at the same time, I do not want to open the door and neither do I want anyone to meet him.
"Are you going to get that or should I?" Jack asks, coming out of the kitchen.
I give him the silent plea look and move away from the door. "It's no one."
"Why do you guys always treat me like I'm stupid?! That certainly wasn't a dog banging on our door, that was a person probably a guy you're running from?" A mischievous smile comes onto his face and he walks towards me. "Is it Rory?"
"No."
"A new guy?"
I nod slowly and he smiles harder. "Good girl, don't worry, I'll take it from here." He goes to the door and opens it and I step aside.
"I need to talk to Sofia." Comes Keenan urgent voice.
"Who's Sofia?" Jack asks a little lost.
"The girl that entered in a while ago." He explains.
"Oh, you are talking about my sister?"
"Yes, I guess so."
"Her name isn't Sofia, her name is T-"
