Chapter 25: Chapter 25
I clench hard on my shirt hoping to have a grip of my panic, sweat run down my face and I stare at Mycole.
"Where is she now then?" Jack asks as Josh brings me to sit down on the couch.
Mycole shakes his head and answers "I don't know."
"But you must have seen something right?"
He sighs heavily and runs his hand through his hair. "That's the problem, I don't see anything."
My eyes grow heavy and I blink quickly and my brain goes flat for a while and my breath is almost over when and I feel my panic attack coming up when Mycole phone begins to ring. He reaches into his pocket quickly bring it out and answer it.
"Hello? Who's this?" He asks over to the person at the other side of the line. The person replies and he then looks up at Josh and me then at Jake. "It's Taylor."
We run up from the chair and to where Mycole stands answering the phone call and I try my best to resist the urge of dragging the phone from his hand.
"How is she?"
"Is she okay"
"Where is she?"
"Is she in trouble?"
"Are you okay? Where are you? Are you in any form of danger?" Mycole quickly rambles out Jack and Josh questions over the phone to Taylor.
He looks at us with a flat face. "She says she's okay." He tells us and Jack takes a deep breath. "She lost her phone."
I take the phone from his hand and place it to my ear. "Where are you, Taylor?"
The line goes dead for a few moments and then she answers. "Hey, Jake, how are you? So nice to hear your voice" She says with a fake celebrating voice. The voice disappears when she speaks again. "I don't know." My face cross, but before I can say something she does. "I'm okay though, isn't that what matters?"
"Are you in danger?"
"Yea I am." She sighs heavily. "But as long as I stay here, I'll be fine."
"Where is here, Taylor?"
"Look I can't tell you, because that will put you in danger too, but tell Mom I went on a business trip with Paris so she wouldn't worry, tell her it was on short notice and I didn't have the chance to tell anyone."
"Are you asking me to lie to Mom?!" I can't help yelling at her asking me to lie. "That's a lot of work."
"No, I'm not, just asking you to avoid the truth. Look it's better than having her in the hospital or worse. You know how she gets with bad news."
She's right, if Mom finds out that Taylor's life is in danger, she might begin to worry and her heart might not be able to take it and we won't survive if something bad happens to her.
"I'm scared, Taylor," I confess to her.
"I know you all are, but I'll be fine. I promi-"
"What do you think you're doing?" I hear a deep voice ask from Taylor's side of the line before it goes off.
"Taylor?"
"What happened?" Jack asks with equal perplexity as me and I shake my head.
"I don-'t... do-" I stutter nervously, not willing to think of the horrible things that might be happening to Taylor this minute. "I don't think Taylor is as safe as she says she is. I heard someone voice, a male voice, and the voice sound like it was mad at her."
.
Taylors POV
"What do you think you're doing?" Rory's voice demands from behind and I immediately end the call and turn around to meet his stony gaze as it levels on me and he clenches his jaw and I wonder if he's going to devour me and my stomach drops.
He might, he can, he will if you don't find the right thing to say.
How the hell did he even find me? This is like the most hidden part of the house, it took me twenty minutes to find this closet out and he's here. I guess that's the essence of owning a house, you surely know everything about it.
But before I can say something, he continues. "Were you born stupid or did you choose to become one as you grew?"
"Did you just call me stupid?" I ask, slightly feeling annoyed.
"I asked," he points out. "And from the answer you just provided, you just confirmed that you are!" He snaps and I jump a little at the hardness of his voice.
"Yes well I'm stupid but stupider I'd be to let my family worry about me when I know the only danger I'm in is the danger of being close to you."
"Don't you dare try to change the subject, Ms Snowfall!" He snaps at me, yanking the cell phone away from my hand.
"Why not?" I ask, more like challenge.
"How the hell did you survive the last twenty-one years of your life with your level of stupidity and foolishness?"
"I don't know, but since you seem to know literally everything about me, I'm guessing you know how."
"Where did you get the phone from?"
"Somewhere?" I bit my lips nervously, not ready to say the wrong words.
"Where's somewhere, Ms Snowfall?"
"Somewhere in the house." I flash him a mischievous smile.
"Damn you!" He furiously gushes out, slamming the phone to the tiled floor and the phone breaks into pieces. I jump a little and look at him and see his green eyes dark with emotion I haven't seen before.
"Damn, you manipulative foolish woman. You really think I'm playing around?" He grounds out me through gritted teeth and he takes a step closer and I begin to move back.
"I gave you a strict instruction and you disobeyed, you chose to rebel."
There is about one zillion comeback running through my head, but my brain only focuses on the man whose green eyes has somehow turn into black because he's mad at me.
"Do you know what happens to rebellious people?" I keep moving back until my back hit the wall and I hiss out in frustration.
I swallow hard and try not to look at him, pissing him off would be a good thing when we aren't the only ones in the whole house.
"Do you?!" He demands with a roar.
"No, I don't. Tell me." I say, hiding the trembling of my voice as I look up at him.
He takes a firm step close to stand intimately close to me, his height making me feel like a little child. "They get punished." And for the first time in the last five to six-minute, I see his green eyes instead of black ones looking into mine with lust and my brain go blank for a second and I have to shake it to restart it.
Even I can't deny the intense feeling I have been having, I don't want to be in denial any more. I do want to be close to him and as much as it scares me, it draws me in to know more.
"Then punish me," I whisper in a less audible voice, but he overhears it and his mouth curls up in a corner and a smile appears and his face immediately softens as he stares down at me.
He places both of his hands on the wall, trapping my body between them, and I wait to see what is to come. He leans closer to me and my breath cut short and his mouth opens and he starts talking.
"Yea, you'll be punished thoroughly." he makes sure to emphasize on the thoroughly so I'll get the picture and I shiver inwardly. "But not now." He smirks and pushes the strand of my hair away from my face. "You'll get your punishment when you least expect it, Ms Snowfall." And with that, he walks away from the closet, and I crash to the floor, grabbing hold of my chest as my heart feels like it's about to explode.
What the hell just happened?
I know his game, he wants me to want him and he's winning because I do want him. Like, come on it's not so easy fighting a man that you love with the whole of your heart and who just pushed you over the edge all the time. I won't be able to avoid him or fight my feelings for him if he keeps doing this to me."
.
I stay in the closet, on the floor, getting deep with my thought, I've been so for the past four hours. Yes, I'm hungry, because the only food I have eaten is the launch I had in the afternoon and now it is past dinner time and I've not yet eaten. Not that Rory didn't call me over for dinner, but I was too damn angry to leave the closet and follow him. My stomach growls and I hold it tighter hissing at my lack of self-control when it comes to food.
The closet door opens and Rory walks in with a stainless tray covered in his left hand and a bottle of water in his right hand. He is wearing a navy blue khaki T-shirt which he rolls the sleeves up and a black short Knickerbocker that put his firm, muscled legs on display, I fight the urge to look up at him but fail and my eyes meet his looking down at me like I'm a lost kid on the floor.
"You should have knocked, I didn't say you can come in." I bit out irritably at him and he acts like I didn't say anything as he walks toward where I sit.
"When I talk to you, you answer." I snap, my eyes flaring with anger, but not at him.
"This is my house." Is all he says, and he sets the tray before me.
I pull my legs away so the tray doesn't come in contact with me and this gesture makes him roll his eyes. "Well it might be your house, but this is my territory, so you must knock."
"Aha!" He says after a brief thought, "but this is a closet, your room is the other one after my own."
I have a room? That's so nice I might even have my own bathroom to add up!!!
"I don't want it, I like here." I stubbornly tell him, folding my arms over my chest. "What is this?" I point to the tray like I don't know what it is.
"Food." He answered and I can tell his patience can last, but for so long.
"I'm not hungry."
This makes him clench his teeth and glare at me, and I in return grimace at him, but after a few seconds, it disappears into a smile. "Darling, I could literally hear your growling stomach from the living room which I tell you, is far away." He drops the water bottle on the floor close to me. "So you're going to eat it because I made it."
Any day, a guy who cooks would be my greatest weakness, since I can't, but not today. "You can't make me."
"Oh." He grins wickedly. "But I can."
"Okay." I raise my chin to proudly meet him. "Then make me."
I can tell I'm stepping on so many naked wires with the way I'm talking and acting towards him, but angering him seems to cause a pleasure outburst within my being. He clenches his teeth and releases them, and he does this for a few minutes. Then he turns his head to look at me with a daring look.
"If. You. Don't. Start. Eating. I'll. Have. No. Other. Choice. But. To. Feed. You. My. Dick."
Where the hell did that come from???
My eyes widen and my mouth drop.
Lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from all evil!
I can feel my cheek going as red as the tomato. I've known Rory for a lot of things, but I never knew him for a dirty talker and this awareness causes great turmoil down south.
"I specifically remember." I begin to speak, summoning enough courage. "You telling me four hours ago that you weren't those guys who didn't care what women wanted."
He shrugs carelessly, "I'm not, but when you push me, I can be a monster." He snickers and I bite the inside of my lips.
"You really are," I affirm coldly, nodding my head vigorously. "You're a monster, but then again, I don't care what you are, because I'm not your girlfriend."
Whatever emotion that was in his face disappears and now his facial expression appears blank. The words sting me too as they roll off my tongue, but it is the truth and as much as we don't talk about it it doesn't make it disappear.
"Open it. Now." He points to the tray in front of me and I immediately open the tray of food that leaves my mouth watering the next second.
It's my favourite dish, seafood with spaghetti. Smell delicious too! Yummy.
"And look, she likes it." He says sarcastically, and my cheek burns at how childish I've been acting this past moment around the food.
"I'm not impressed if that is what you want me to say. You keep me here against my will and act like a kidnapper with that evil eyes of yours."
This makes him chuckle, "Coming from someone who doesn't know how to cook." He snorts, and fold his hand over his chest, examining me. "I'll take it as a compliment and I'm keeping you here for your own good."
I sigh sadly, he's right, I don't even know how to boil a noodle more or less make a dish, but what the hell is for my good? He threatened to deep throat me earlier, that's certainly not for my own good.
I take the fork and begin to dish into my food, "Doesn't matter, I know a bad meal when I—" I take the fork into my mouth and my eyes go wide before they close unable to stop the moan of pleasure that erupts from my lips. I swallow and I can't believe how incredibly delicious the pasta is and I can bet it's the best I've had all my life.
"You're welcome." He tells before walking out of the room.
