Chapter 117: Chapter 117

"No one put me up to this, Taylor, and although I never have before, I saw Rory."

At his word, her heart clenches in terrible fear and pain and immediately she knows something terrible is about to happen.

"I saw him die."

"What do you mean you mean you saw him die?" she demands, feeling a new kind of emotion wash over her, the anger frustration and resentment she has been feeling all the while is blown away like paper in the wind and she now feels this sting in her heart. "You said it yourself, you can't see Rory future." she points out quickly, wanting to counter his earlier words.

He sighs deeply in discontent, "I know Taylor, don't remind me like I don't know." he walks around aimlessly, he had asked himself why he suddenly had a vision of Rory when five years ago he couldn't and he couldn't get a reasonable answer. "I woke up at two a.m. and I haven't slept since then. The visions had stopped after I married Abby and I thought it was gone forever, but I was wrong 'cause it came back, more vivid and clear." then he stares directly into her eyes, "I don't know what's going on between you two, but I wanted you to know he's not going to survive this, Rory is going to die, he won't make it out of the surgery room. He's going to die there."

"No!" A rasped cry escapes Taylor's mouth and she shakes her head, trying to fight off her running tears as well as Mycole's words. "Rory can't die," she says in refusal.

Today has suddenly gone from good to worse in just a few hours, things were going out of control and still are.

"Where is Rory?" the confused mycole asks after a slight pause.

"At the hospital, I don't know," she mumbles too torn to give him the satisfactory answer he requires.

"What do you mean you don't know?" he raises his brow and she doesn't know how to even begin to explain and so he reads her and he gasps in disbelieve when he sees everything that had happened. "Taylor, what have you done?"

More tears fall from her eyes down her face, and guilt plagues her heart heavily, "Oh, Mycole, I never planned for any of this to happen, you do believe me don't you?"

"I do and I know that," he says, cupping her face in his hand so she can properly look up at him. "But I'm not the one you should be trying to convince, it's Rory."

"What use is it? You just said he's going to die." she reminds him of his word, her heart still tearing in half at this admission.

"Yes, at exactly 8:20 a.m. tomorrow in the operating room, but you still have today. All the words unsaid and emotions you've held down should be made known today." he reminds her, wiping the tears running down her face away.

"What if he doesn't..." she stutters, trying to find the right words which suddenly becomes difficult to do. For the first time in a very long time, she feels weak, pain, sorrow and grief. "what if he doesn't want to see me?"

He gives her a one-sided smile, "The reason he's in all of this is in the first place, is because he loves you. He decided to stay in the rain yesterday, risking his health and life just to make sure he keeps his words of not leaving you, he will want to see you." he takes her hand again and this time unlike before, they are cold, freezing from fear. "Go to him, Taylor. There's nothing to lose."

She begins to rush for the door when he speaks up again, "Take Reign with you." and without another argument she obeys him.

.

"What are we doing here?" Reign asks curiously as she stares at her mother who takes her into her arms and steps out of the car once it comes to a stop at the entrance of the general hospital.

Taylor didn't even have the time to dress up or make-up after talking to Mycole, as she is still in her red pencil mouth skirt reaching a little below her knee and her white short sleeve. Her hair she makes into a messy bun on her way to the hospital. Reign is still in her pink ball gown with crystal design all over it, the one she was wearing when Taylor came home.

She is sure as hell she looks terrible and the last thing she expected was the paparazzi outside the hospital. While some take pictures of her and Reign, others block her way from entering inside with their many questions. Reign who hasn't been put through any confrontation like this, hides her face in her mother's embrace and begins to cry.

"Let me through," she says, but unlike earlier no one is here to help her. "Let me through!" she shouts as them, slapping the mic being held to her face away with her free hand, "get that goddamn thing away from my face, I have no answer to give you." she orders with a stern glare and rocks Reign in her hand to hush her up, "Sorry, Darling," she tells her and look up to ask, "Are you happy now?" they all grow quiet and they pave the way for her and she makes her way into the hospital.

"Hush" she coos Reign as she approaches a nurse on the counter, and the nurse looks up from her file. "Um... I'm looking for Mr Rory John Gate's ward?" she asks with a little smile and the nurse nod.

"Are you family?" the nurse asks.

"Yes," she responds, with a nod, "he's my fiancé."

"Okay," the nurse looks down at something in front of her before looking back up at Taylor, "He's in ward 69," she replies and Taylor mouths a thank you to her before walking off.
