The battle lasted for 3 days and three nights it was a brutal deadly one we lost a few shoulders but the thought of them hurting Temi was what gave me a power surge. She was reason I was fighting,

Because I wanted to make sure that not just our world was a better place but their world as well.  MacKenzie ended up with that's good for nothing son of a bitch Michael B. Jordan and I know he didn't act bitchy to me in any way but I still don't trust him he and his union with Mackenzie but I'll allow it.

After all I my family and many other soldiers who I could not recall are all with me and we are celebrating out Victory over the war. We are all currently at the most popular Miami Beach right now having a time off and the thought it will be good for me since so many things happened to me in New York especially almost losing the love of my life Temi who's little sister has finally given me the time of the day as she longer treats Me as a monster any more.

I was finally happy because" My dad" air quote you know what I mean finally came back promising was never leaving my side again plus he apologize profusely Begging for forgiveness but unknown to him I hold no grudge.

"Dad you already apologize like a hundred and 118 time its totally fine now"

"I know but you had no idea what it would have done to me if any thing happened. I am soo sorry Lora I couldn't be there."

" okay dad let not focus on the past or will miss the future. Go be my mom she misses you you know."

Not my real dad cus I'm a hybrid and he's human but I love him like that. Its what makes us family, humans or monster, It's about finding and accepting your inner self no Matter what people around you Might think or say. Werewolf, vampire, monsters, unicorns, fairies, Human.

After spending about a month in Miami beach we all came back to New York much to my dismay but the minute we all got back I experienced the most unexpected thing, I... I got a visit from Oscar and my ex-boyfriend. But it was more like we visited him cus the minute we entered the big gate we all saw him sited on our porch having breakfast

I was shocked to say the least and i wondered.

How did he get passed the security?

What is he doing here?

How did he find me?

For how long has he been here?

Has he been living on our porch?

So many questions we're running through still tornado of a hybrid mind but I decide to push thoughts down as i was just pretty shocked to see him and when I cleared my throat he finished the last of his breakfast before looking up to meet my piercing brown eyes.

Slowly he stood up only to notice I wasn't alone.

I had close to 100 people who we're watching him including Temi and her sister.

He gulped down slowly worry of saying the wrong thing because he didn't entity know who this people are to me and so he quietly asked using one eye too look at me and the other to monitor my movement and expressions.

"Hey can we talk?... In private"

"Sure."

I smiled at them signalling them to all going Inside as we both stepped off the porch and waited for all of them to go inside and Temi who was the last to leave kissed me on the cheeks first before giving him a death glared and entered. Once she did she he cleared his throat first before saying

"Hey"

"Hey"

"So you do girls now huh... Cute"

"Owen why are you here?"

"Well I was going to come ask for your forgiveness assuming I did something awful to you but umm. I see you got your self figured out."

"Owen.."

"No its fine it's great that you dumped me for her its just really hard to watch.. i mean its cool I can take it."

"Owen ! Listen to me i didn't break up with because of her I just didn't want to lead you on when I knew there could never be us. and---"

"Hhey I I don't know if this is a good time or a bad time I'm here and I'm not leaving until you come with me please I'm in L. A I've lost you twice I'm not going to lose you again come with me and let's explore the whole of L.A together"

"I can't,  I live here now this is my home and this people are family. and you're welcome to stay if you want to.  I can't come with you I've already had more exploring than I can handle."

"Hmmm I guess. Is it okay with you if I spend the night."

" well. Sure common in the couch is all yours unless you make a friend before tonight ends. That's the only way to grantee a bed."

With that I entered inside the pack house and introduced him to the few people who we're in the living room before the leaders of the pack walked in and I did the introduction again making sure to leave out our true identity because I didn't want so scare him off.

With time he blended in and was able to make Frnd with Colton which was the list on my expectation but with every passing hour and minutes I was able to pin point the reason for there closeness.

They are Mates

I smiled at the thought of that as I saw McKenzie and Temi off. They are part of the team who were going to make an official proclamation tonight my 5 to make sure we werewolf, vampires, witches and supernatural beings don't have to hid any more and it was time we let the human who inhabit New York that We are not the monsters,  its the fear that we have for one and other that make us monsters. since my vampire uncles, auntie and cousins were coming over they decide to join the proclamation.

5:00 pm

The sun was slowly setting as we all made way to the main streets of New York and by we I meant. Me,  my mom,  Nova,  Colton and his knew found lover Owen,  Eliot,  Cecilia,  the leaders of our pack,   Dracula,  his wife and 3 children and Ravana his wife and 3 kids.

The clothing we were all dressed in was enough to attract attention and cause panic in the minds of the humans as they haven't witnessed anything  like this before.

At this point the whole street was quiet as everyone was watching waiting for someone to make the wrong  move. After a few seconds  of no one making  any move Temi and Mackenzie came from the army of police men who lined up in an horizontal line to protect the people of New York as they already  formed as  large crowd  gathers  in from of us.

She cleared her throat  before she began to speak and   the song Moment of truth by CYN,  which was on repeat was playing  in the background from Eliots Bluetooth speaker.

"We are gathered here to witness the dawn of a new era,  an era Where humans and monsters of any kind can have a shot at a happy ever after.

See I thought that Monsters like werewolf's and Vampires cant coexist with us in this world  but all that change when I meant Lora.   She is nether a werewolf or a vampire but the combination of both.  This is possible because a vampire and a werewolf were capable of loving each other, this only prove that they have a heart and its capable of loving too.

Let not pull out our stacks and wolfsbane to reject them but let us  embrace the courage that they built to come down here to say we mean no harm. From the way I see it,

they think we are the monsters...

And we think they are...

After a long moment of silent and still no one made the move someone from the human group asked.

"What  about the vampires how are you going yo keep them off the people in this town.  We are there no one prey after all?"

This Time  I took the Liberty to answer as I walk forward and said

"True but you need not worry for they wouldn't bring any harm to the human citizens here.  Beside they are just  visiting and i can assure you they  bring any harm and if the do decided  to stay we have or own special feeding adds.  We'll  take care of them."

With that everyone believed her...  Our story and one by one they started  coming up to meet us  in person  I was super excited and since they no longer feared us  everyone finally loosened up and got to know each other  as me and Temi were dancing to the music which was

Moment of truth by CYN,  it as much louder now as some how Eliot had found a way to play the song off some louder speakers which  was louder  than the Bluetooth  speaker.

At the end of our dance we finally closed the gap between us as we sealed it with a kiss and right on time the fireworks stared.  I giggled again Temi's lips as I pulled away  and asked.

"Really??  Fireworks  how did you--"

"I know  a few people,  oh and  look at that. Colton if finally  getting into it"

"Oh.  my.  Goodness.  They are soooo cute,  I am soo shipping them staying together.  turns out Colton isn't Soo bad after all."

Colton Pov

"Soo werewolf  huh,  when did you plan on telling man..."

This was what I heard owen say and in all honestly I was afraid it'll come to this.  And now that it did I couldn't  come up with a proper sentences  as I kept stuttering

"Oh... That...  Urrmm....  That is...  Its complicated...  I did...  But its...  Sort of fast...  This Is not how I'd...."

"Hey Colt (short for Colton)..."

Cutting in and making me feeling defenseless, I tried to explain my self again but words Seems to fail me over and over again as i said

" yeah..  To be honest i'm Not...  The stuttering type... Its just,...  Its hard...  Over.whelming... Maybe...   I can't say I didn't when I did see it...  Its. Its..."

"Shut up and kiss me"

And that was all it took for me to fall right into his arm kissing him like my life depended on it and literally it did because  I'd be forever crush if he found out my true identity and then reject me.  that  has always been my one fear and so i made sure to drown that fear with the attention I get from females of any kind actually. Who knew my forever will be a human I guess the moon goddess does have way of doing her thing.

And to end the night, I mind linked my younger brother Eliot to change the song to I'm in love with a monster and oh boy was it worth it.
