Chapter 77: Chapter 77
Gwenn Pov
“You and Orel will soon be going back won’t you?” I asked. Throughout that day, I had caught Themis and Orel sending each other glances.
“Yes. We have to, our work here is almost done and we need to go back.” Themis answered. She would have given me more information but I had a feeling she stopped because I was no longer their citizen. I was now a Northerner.
So was she but her loyalty lies with Dar because she was married to one of the rulers.
“Almost?” I asked her.
“Yes we still have one more task to do. Your curse has been broken and Arius own also has, the empire is slowly flourishing and getting itself back. It has been just three months but the repairs are almost done. Northshorians certainly do not let anything keep them down for long.”
I winced at her words.
“We prefer Northerners.” I answered as she smiled. “But I still don’t understand. Everything is done, why almost?”
“Because we have to do what you are afraid of Gwenn, you certainly cannot keep going back and forth, saving lives of people. Many possessing spirits are still out there, confused creatures that don’t want to hurt others and the ones that want to hurt others. You might be the greatest queen to ever lived both current you and the past one too but you need help. The best way to do that is to make the forgotten, unforgotten. Let your people fight and fend for themselves.”
“Still more Kastavs might rise.” I replied. I hate how small my voice was but I could not lose anybody else. I have lost enough already.
“True but there will be more Gwenns to stop them, not this one.” Themis replied, patting my shoulder. “Besides, if the world is risen, then you will have more Silanas too to predict what will go wrong and you can fix it before it go anywhere.”
“You seem vested in making me rise the world.” I asked Themis who shrugged.
“I can’t share the future with you but luckily, we will not be the ones who saves the day.” Themis answered.
“Fine we will go and rise the kingdom tomorrow, I am sure that you already know how.” I asked Themis and when she nodded, I rolled my eyes. Damn predictable.
“Okay, we will do that tomorrow then me and Orel will also leave tomorrow.” Themis stood up.
“Why so quick…”
“Like I said, urgent business to get back to and besides, you don’t have to worry much. We will be back within a year and eventually, we will alternate between the two empires. Yes, it is not like we will have a choice with your son and my daughter.” Themis mumbled.
“What?” I yelled.
“Huh?” Themis looked at me in shock. “What’s wrong?”
“What did you just say?” I asked her and like that annoying habit of Silana, Themis shrugged.
“I can’t remember but I am sure that it is not important.” She stated as she waved me goodbye and walked away. Leaving me fuming.
Apparently, whoever was pulling our strings still have plans left for us… not us per say but our generation to come. And it also look like my first child might be a boy.

“This is a good spot.” Themis said the next morning as she stopped her horse at a cliff. Most times I doubt Themis sanity.
“There is no land here.” I pointed out to Themis who looked at surprised at the assessment like she was not aware of it. “Do you even see through your physical eyes sometimes?” I asked and then she grinned at me.
“You are the first person to ever guess that from me.” Themis replied, in her own way affirming what I had said. “Still this looks like a good spot. We should do it here.”
“Where would it stand on?” I asked.
Themis snorted like my most reasonable question was the most ridiculous thing ever. “It is a magical kingdom, land or place to stay is barely going to prevent it from rising, especially when it has all it requires to rise.”
“Which is?”
“Us and the golden queen approval and since you are her or she is you then I think we are good to go.” Themis answered.
I sighed as I stared straight off the cliff, the fog was there but for thousands of years, nobody had bothered to find out what was there. It was like the place had an energy that makes people ignore it. Themis was right when she said that this was the right place and thinking about future distress that will arise, maybe I do want to kingdom to rise along with the power it will give Northerners to defend their selves. The world might be ready for a change and this must have been Queen Trisha’s wish because if not, she would not have made me her choice.
Taking in a deep breathe to calm my heart from pounding in my chest and to still the fear that I was about to expose the world to a whole lot of danger, i opened my eyes to see Themis staring off the cliff.
“What do I do?” I asked.
“Oh nothing, it is already rising, by the end of tomorrow, I am sure that everybody within Northshore boundaries would already be equipped with their powers, me and Elison need to leave within the next six hours, our blood is faint enough not to attract powers until the twelfth hour but let’s not tempt fate, Elison is still a baby and he is not ready for his power to attach to him yet.” Themis said conversationally.
“Elison…” I started then I realized that she would not share what she knew so my asking would be in vain so instead I changed the question. “What did I do to make the kingdom rise?”
“You accepted the change. That was all was needed and a little bit of blood but since we are both of the same origin, one of us blood would be enough. I took care of that fact while you were lost in thoughts.” Themis replied as she picked something from the ground and placed it in her pocket. “Let us go.” She stated, moving towards her horse again. “I need to leave, we don’t have anything left here to do.”
“So we are safe and we would not need to do anything again?” I asked her and she nodded.
“All that is left is for our legacies to realize their fate.” Themis said absentmindedly before she smiled at me, her attention coming back to her surroundings. “But that will be a long time for now seeing that the Legacies are not yet born.”
