Chapter 90: Chapter 90

Chapter 90

Program

Pershey and Leighden wrap meals. They thought of conducting a feeding program for street children. Pershey wanted to use the money she won to help her neighbor and she put half of her money in the bank.

"How many foods have you packed?" Pershey asked as the food was placed in plastic. Lots of foods are on the table. They were inside Pershey's mansion and there they thought to wrap the food.

There are sandwiches that Pershey herself made, juices, soups, apples, oranges, and bottles of water.

She tied the plastic first before she answered.

"143."

Pershey suddenly stopped wrapping and was stunned as well. A memory came back to her mind when Leighden said 143.

She didn’t notice the drawing of a smile on her lips in those moments as she was stunned. Leighden noticed her. She didn't first criticize Pershey's sudden smile at the same time as she was stunned.

She continued what she was doing but she couldn’t help but ignore Pershey. Up to this moment, she was still stunned as if the wind was blowing her mind.

She stopped, stared at her, and frowned, saying, "Smiling for no reason, checked."

Because of what she said, she turned her attention to Leighden. Her forehead was not furrowed and she seemed to hear nothing. The sweet smile that had previously been on her lips was also gone.

"Are you in love?" she asked.

She couldn't help but laugh at her question. She just continued wrapping the food in plastic.

After a while, she replied.

"I'm not in love, Leigh."

"You smiled for no reason and not just once but twice you suddenly smiled for no reason," she insisted while tying the plastics.

“Is it bad to smile? Does a smile pay off as well? It's also forbidden to smile? ”

Leighden's eyes widened at what Pershey had said and suppressed a laugh.

"Oh my god," she laughed and covered her mouth. "... you are overreacting, Pers," she laughed. “I didn't say you shouldn't smile. I also didn't say that the smile was paid for. I just said you were smiling for no reason. ”

"I just remembered something, so I smiled," she reasoned. "You mentioned the number, so I remembered something," she added.

“143? What’s in 143? ”

Pershey just looked at her slightly and smiled. She didn't even bother to ask again because she knew she wouldn't answer and just smiled at her again.

Later, in the middle of the silence between the two of them, someone called Pershey's cellphone. She immediately took it to find out who was calling.

She wondered why Caleb was suddenly called. She answered the call and laid the cellphone on the table.

"Hello."

‘I am on my way,’ Caleb said from the other line. She frowned and wondered what Caleb had said.

"We'll wait for you," Leighden replied. She was even more surprised by what they were saying, so she frowned. She could not understand what Caleb meant and why Leighden responded to what he said. "Be careful, Caleb," she added before turning off the call. She continued what she was doing while Pershey just stared at her.

"Are you sending him here?" she asked and Leighden immediately nodded before looking at her and smiling. "Why did not you tell me?" she asked again. Instead of answering the question, Leighden just smiled at her. “You didn't tell me you were sending him here. You are keeping a secret from me. ”

"The task will be easier if we have many people who will help us," she reasoned.

Pershey didn't say a word when they heard Caleb's voice approaching them.

"Hi, Nanny Yuna," Caleb greeted Yuna when he met her. Pershey immediately looked at them when he mentioned her mother's name.

“Don’t call her Nanny Yuna. She's not a Nanny anymore,” she insisted while looking at them. They were confused by what Pershey suddenly said but Yuna wasn't too surprised by what she said.

"She's your ultimate-carring Nanny Yuna, right?" Caleb asked.

Pershey nodded, saying, "She's my mother."

At the same time it was said “Huh ?!” they asked in confusion. Their eyes also widened and did not believe what Pershey said. Leighden laughed a little while patting her arm. Yuna did not respond to the conversation and left to prepare a snack for them.

"What did you say?" Caleb asked.

She answered seriously when she looked at him. "She's my biological mother."

"Really?"

She smiled and nodded, saying, "Yes, she's my real mother."

“H-h-how?-no! You are lying! ” Leighden laughed a little. Pershey looked at her seriously and didn't utter a word, so she realized that Pershey was not joking or lying. "How did it happen?"

"It's a long story, Leighden."

She covered her mouth and widened her eyes, saying, "Meaningfully, you're just a maid's daughter?"

She was slightly amused by what she said. "Yes."

They both couldn’t believe what Pershey said. Pershey was comfortable with what she said.

Yuna heard everything they talked about. She stood on the side and just quietly listened. She smiled sweetly at what her daughter said. She is happy and she feels relieved. She thinks her daughter is not ashamed of her.

She left awhile to prepare a snack for them. She approached carrying the food.

"Eat first," she offered and set the food down on the table. They also had a lot of wrapped food before Caleb arrived.

"Help us first, Mommy," Pershey said before stopping to look at her mother. She was not immediately silent and felt what Leighden and Caleb's reaction would be. She noticed that her mother was skeptical, so she stood up. "Take a seat first, Mommy."

Hsh did not refuse and sat down. Nor can they keep quiet about what is happening.

Leighden stared at Yuna while Yuna began to wrap the food.

"You two look alike," she commented while looking straight at the two of them. They both smiled. "It's true," she added.

"Nice to meet you, Auntie," Caleb said. Yuna smiled and he returned it with a smile. The surroundings became quiet when they heard a noise from outside.

"Is there anyone outside?" Pershey's question.

“They are probably here now. Maybe they are there,” Leighden guessed. They immediately stood up to find out who the man was outside.

They were about to leave the dining room when they saw three men walking. They immediately realized who they were.

Pershey stared at Leighden as if she was saying something. Leighden signed peace with her.

"You told them?"

She nodded while still smiling, she said, "To make our work easier," she laughed.

Pershey returned to her seat to continue what she is doing. So is Leighden and Caleb.

“Did we arrive late?” Draek asked. Leighden immediately looked at the watch.

"You're 143 seconds late," she replied.

They sat down. Draek was next to Leighden. Draek was next to Samuel and Samuel was next to Neil who was next to Caleb.

They started packing food until they were done. The food to be distributed to the street children are complete.

They put the packaged foods in boxes.

The men had already lifted the boxes to put in the car. They also got in the car and waited for Pershey to get out.

Inside, Pershey was talking to her mother.

"We're leaving first, Mommy."

She smiled, looking at her as she parted her hair towards the back of her ear.

"Be careful, huh?" her tender reminder while there was still a bright smile on her lips as she continued with what she was doing.

"Yes, Mommy."

They both stared at each other as they both smiled.

"My angel," Yuna called softly to her. Pershey didn't say a word but she responded with a smile to her mother's call to her. “Thank you,” she said.

"What is the thank you for?"

"Thank you for not embarrassing me as your mother."

“I will never be ashamed of you. You are my mother and I will not embarrass you to anyone. ”

She kissed Pershey on the forehead and hugged her before she left.

She got into the car and grabbed the steering wheel. She was still smiling and it was etched on her chest.

"Let's go?" she asked.

"Yeah!" they answered. She was already driving while the music was playing. There was fun inside the car. They accompany the song as the body accompanies the swing.

They have reached their destination. They are at the GYM where they will be given permission to conduct a feeding program.

The children started coming and they also started distributing food to the street children.

They were happy as they watched the children as they ate. They have helped not only children but other people as well. The program is over.

Pershey felt relieved. She was happy as she watched the children happily eat. She stood to one side.

She was unaware of Neil's approach.

“Eat first,” he offered as he handed the food to her. She looked at Neil for a moment and smiled before taking the food.

"Thank you," she said.
