Chapter 75: Chapter 75

Chapter 75

She reattached the gown with the gaps. Now, Pershey's gown has become more visually attractive. It is a mixture of red and orange that are all glowing in color and it is also still shiny. The design of the gown has been the intended cut from the nape of her foot to the half of her thigh.

Many gaps are attached to the gown causing the torn gown to stick again.

"Oh, I love it!" she said excitedly as she touched the gown she was wearing.

"You're so genius, Iries," Leighden praised. She just smiled as she pinned her hair behind her ear.

A few seconds later, the host spoke again. Candidate number 17 was called and she was next, so they hurried.

They went near the entrance up to the stage and there they waited.

"Inhale," she pointed out as they both did. "Exhale."

They smiled at each other as she held Pershey's hands tightly.

“Goodluck. You can do it. ” Iries said.

She nodded along with a smile before she spoke, “Yeah. Thanks. ” She feels a mixture of nervousness and excitement.

"Candidate number 18!"

She was finally called. She left a smile to Leighden and Iries before she walked on stage. She doesn’t take away that smile as she looks at the audiences. She received loud applause and incessant shouting from the audiences that widened her smile.

She turned to the right as she was in the middle.

When she was done, she went backstage. Iries and Leighden almost jumped for joy when Pershey returned again.

"You did it!" they commented.

"Yes, thanks for the support."

They smiled in response and they both hugged Pershey full of pleasure.

"You're so amazing in your posture," Leighden said.

She laughed a little at what she said.

Now, they will prepare for the sports track. They had already prepared the ones Pershey would use. The helmet, boots, gloves, black leather pants and tube, and black jacket were already there.

She stood up. She has not yet exchanged. She noticed Sansa staring at her. She in turn smiled at Sansa as she met both of Sansa's eyebrows as she looked at her.

“What’s wrong, Sansa? Are you surprised? ” she asked. Sansa looked down at the gown she was wearing. Her jaw almost dropped at what she saw. She didn't think much that Pershey's gown would be even more beautiful after she cut her gown while Iries and Leighden were watching.

She swallowed her own saliva and blinked. She took a deep breath with a big blink and then said, "I'm in the same place where you are."

Pershey let out a weak and soft laugh and immediately stood up. She noticed Pershey's eyes widen as she stood up.

She couldn’t believe the design of Pershey’s gown. She thought they couldn't find a way to fix that gown but she was wrong.

"Oh, why do you seem to see a ghost?" she asked. She was speechless and weakly pushed Pershey's arm. Sansa's reaction was still full of shock.

She sat down and looked at Pershey then disgustedly said, "Go away!"

Pershey smiled at her which made her even more irritated.

Pershey sat closer to where Sansa was sitting while calmly smiling in the mirror. She noticed Sansa's stare at her but she ignored her. She watches herself in front of the mirror and she doesn’t take the smile away from her lips. She noticed again that Sansa's gaze was fixed on her so she thought of speaking without taking her gaze away from the mirror, to herself.

"Are you okay?" Even though she wasn't looking at Sansa, she noticed that Sansa was looking at her because they were both in front of the mirror.

What she was going to say was already on the tip of her tongue when Aliha arrived. She looked at Sansa and for a moment turned her gaze to Pershey then turned her gaze back to Sansa.

Sansa smiled at her as if that smile meant something else. She turned her gaze to Pershey as if examining her.

She smiled, said, "Oh, Pershey." Pershey also smiled back at her even though she knew the smile Aliha was showing her was fake. Gradually the smile faded from her lips.

Meanwhile, they grab Iries' attention. She stood up and approached them. She stood next to Pershey and looked at them. She didn't say a word but her eyes were so focused on Aliha and Sansa.

She met Iries's gaze on her as she smiled. Gradually that smile disappeared again and was replaced by a sarcastic smile as she turned her gaze to Pershey.

"I'll sit on that," she said in a steady voice. Pershey's smile also suddenly disappeared from what she said and the reaction on her face.

She stood up.

"What are you waiting for?" Sansa asked.

Pershey turned her gaze to her. She first stared at Sansa then smiled at her. She laughed a little that made them annoyed and confused.

"Get out, please," Sansa ordered angrily.

She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself. "Who are you again?" she asked Sansa calmly.

Sansa's eyes widened at Pershey's question to her.

"H-h-h-how dare you," she said annoyed and even glared at Pershey.

Aliha answered her question. "She's Sansa Shen Samson."

Pershey laughed a little at her response which made them frown. Iries just stared at them. She does not respond to their conversation.

"You are crazy," said Sansa. “Can you please get out? My blood is boiling in you,” she added, full of annoyance.

She didn't speak to what Sansa said and she drew a smile on her lips which made the two of them even more annoyed.

Before she left, she looked at Aliha and Sansa again.

"Crazy nerd girl," Sansa said.

She stopped and walked back. She looked up and stared at her. She took a deep breath, still smiling. Her smile widened even more when she said, "You look old when you're always angry."

Iries suddenly laughed at what she said. The frown on their foreheads disappeared because of what she said. Pershey smiled at her even more before she left. Iries also left and even regretted them.

On the far bench she sat a little farther away from them.

Sansa and Aliha just sighed while Iries was still laughing a bit as she stood by Pershey's side.

They looked at Iries so annoyed, so Iries stopped laughing and covered her mouth.

"Don't frown," Leighden said to them then Iries and came over to fix Pershey again.

They have already focused on organizing themselves. Some candidates have already switched.

Pershey is already wearing her rider's outfit which is grabbing the attention of other candidates. The helmet was strapped to her arm. Her hair was curled up high.

She was standing and her mind was on the other side of the place. She was deep in thought and skeptical. There was no excitement on her face but nervousness and apprehension. She knew she had left in the mansion the motor she was supposed to use, so she was worried.

They noticed Pershey. "What's wrong?" Leighden asked.

Her face frowned. Full of doubt she replied, “I don't have a motor to use. What do I do now? ”

“Don’t worry. Problem-solved!”

She was about to ask Leighden more questions when they heard the host calling the other candidates.

"Relax, Pershey, relax."

She tried to smile somehow and nodded at her but she kept rubbing her palms. She felt nervousness and apprehension. She was restless.

Leighden suddenly grabbed her by both her shoulders to face her.

"Don't be afraid," she said. "Trust yourself, Pershey," she added and smiled broadly and calmly to calm Pershey down.

“I can do it,” she said and smiled afterwards.

She nodded and said, “Yes, You can. You can do it, Pershey. ”

Iries responded to their conversation. “Show yourself, Pershey. You're too beautiful to be shy and afraid. You have nothing to worry about.”

She took a deep breath then held their hand. She tightened her grip on their hand and smiled at them.

“We are just here behind you. If you don't see us, we might be in front of you,” Leighden joked and they laughed.

“Go, it’s your turn. It’s time to shine again,” said Iries.
