Chapter 50

I'm staring at myself in the mirror wearing this purple gown. Only now have I been able to wear this gown. This is what Bria gave me to wear for tonight.

I like this purple gown.

I can’t get rid of the way I look at myself in the mirror. Now, I’m just going to say ‘I’m beautiful’.

I am 18 now. I am of legal age. They are waiting outside. They are waiting for me. I haven't left the room yet. I let Leigh out first after she put make-up on me.

She's a good make-up artist. This would be my first ever time of saying that I am so beautiful tonight.

I couldn’t help but smile as I stared at myself. I couldn't help but think that they might be surprised when they saw me.

I can’t explain how I feel tonight. I'm happy because my parents are here. I was with them to celebrate my birthday but I also couldn’t understand why there is something heavy in my chest.

I shook my head then stood up. I smiled as I stared at myself in the mirror. All I have to do is celebrate my debut tonight.

They were waiting for me but I didn’t seem to want to go out. I want to stay in my room first but I have to go out because they call me too. I hired Driver Gong as host. He was already calling my name and I knew they were waiting for me to come out and see.

This is it, Pershey!

I went out of my room. Daddy smiled at me and held out his hand so I could give him my hand and he would support me.

The sweet smile widened on my lips as I looked at him. I can't stop smiling because Daddy's smile is so sweet while looking at me. He's smile is the most attractive, beautiful and sweetest smile. He just smiled, losing the weight on my chest. He's smile is my medicine.

I put my hand on his palm. We looked at each other and we both smiled before he kissed my forehead.

He looked at me again and smiled, saying, "You're so gorgeous, my princess. Happy birthday."

I smiled broadly in response to him. He helped me step down the stairs.

I didn’t expect my debut to be this impressive. There was a red carpet, there were flowers on either side of the red carpet. There were rose petals scattered on the red carpet. I keep smiling. Leighden and I just did a simple decoration before she fixed me up so it's amazing because it's so gallant and elegant.

Before we could leave the mansion, Mommy put the crown on me and Bria gave me three pieces of roses.

I smiled when Mommy and I looked right. She kissed me on the forehead before she left.

I looked at Bria who was smiling as she looked at me. I couldn’t help but smile. I just saw her smile like she does now. I'm comfortable that it's not a fake smile. That is real.

Daddy and I walked until he took me to the stage. We were outside our mansion. It is surrounded by flowers. There is a garden on the side and a fountain in the middle. The venue is spacious.

I couldn’t help but smile and I couldn’t take the smile off my lips.

Lots of people. They were here. They attended tonight.

I saw Draek next to Leighden. I smiled at them when our eyes met.

From the side, I saw Iries sitting and holding wine. She smiled at me then raised the wine glass a little. I smiled in response.

I looked around at the people. It was exciting because they all attended tonight. I never thought I would feel this way now. I thought then .... this is not how I feel. I thought this night would be boring but it wasn't. It feels so good. My heart almost jumped with joy. It was as if my heart was going crazy.

It's nice to feel it especially on this special night. I will only experience this once in my whole life so it feels so good. My smile almost reached my ears.

They were all staring at me. I could see their smiles as they looked at me especially Mommy and Daddy. Daddy hugged Mommy from behind so I could almost feel a spark of love because of what I could see.

I even looked around. It was as if my eyes were searching for something that I didn’t know what or who. They all attended so who are my eyes looking for?

I looked at Driver Gong holding a microphone. He also looked at me correctly so I smiled and he smiled back.

I looked back at the people again. Iries, Leighden, Draek and my friends and classmates. I also noticed some of Daddy and Mommy’s business partners. Nanny Yuna, she's so beautiful. I liker her red velvet dress that fits her. She is so beautiful in my eyes.

Nanny Yuna and I eye's met, she smiled at me and I smiled at her too. She's so gorgeous than me tonight. She looks so young.Finally, the long wait is over. This night will be very memorable for me.

The smiles of my friends and loved ones are already very fattening, especially the smiles of my parents. Their smiles are the only thing I can rest and lean on.

"Tonight we will be offering a lively song to our only and gorgeous Señorita of Adejar Family, our Debutant, Akishara Shane Pershey Adejar!" that’s what Driver Gong said cheerfully in conjunction with a weak song. Moments later they sang 'Happy Birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birth ... day, happy birth ... day, happy birth ... day to ... you. '

It was a pleasure to listen to their simultaneous and melodious song that was a gift for me. I couldn't take the wide smile off my lips.

Driver Gong looked at me again before speaking, "A blessed evening to all who attended our Señorita's birthday."

I heard the responses of some ‘Good evening’.

"... before we give our messages, let's call 18 roses!" he shouted vigorously along with loud applause. I was thrilled when I saw the 18 boys Leighden and I had invited. They lined up and everyone was carrying roses. I can't see who is at the end of the line because it's too long. They are 18 and Daddy is not with them yet. By the way, I'm sure Neil didn't go because if he don't want to. Draek should be with him or they should be together. Draek was alone and Leighden was with him. It's okay even without him. I didn't even ask him to come because I knew he wouldn't come.

I smiled back as Draek smiled at me as he walked closer to me. I stood while waiting for him. He was carrying a red rose.

He stopped opposite me and bowed, then held out his hand. I put my hand on his palm and he put it on his shoulder.

Before he could start to step forward, he softly said, "Happy birthday," and he smiled. We danced slowly to the soft song.

That song is' Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi, just a violin cover so it is really lovely to listen.

Draek and I danced for 1 minute until the next one came.

He's Samuel. Only now did I notice that he was also here. I didn't notice him before so I thought, he didn't go.

He approached me and handed me two red roses.

A sweet smile drew on his lips which caused me to smile as well.

I stared into his eyes and he did the same as we danced.

The smile on my lips could not be erased and neither could he.

We were in the middle of dancing when he said, “Happy birthday,” he greeted. I just said 'Thank you'. "... you're so pretty," he praised.

I almost laughed at what he said but I stopped laughing. I just smiled at my laughter and said, "Yeah, I hope and thank you."

When the song ended, the one next to him approached me so Samuel left and sat next to Draek.

He's Yuson, my classmate. We did the same. We danced softly to a melodious song until we finished dancing and followed by the next one. That went on until there was only one left.

He's Daddy. My King, my prince, my knight and shining armor, and my love of my life. He was the first man I loved and I will continue to love and cherish. He was the first man to accept and love me. He is Daddy, my hero and my king.

I patted my face with my hands as Daddy approached. I'm holding back my tears. I don't want them to see me cry so I keep my tears from falling.

I just smiled instead of shedding tears.

Daddy looked at me while smiling. He's smile is my medicine. He's the cure.

He came over and kissed me on the forehead then looked at me as he held his palms to my cheeks and caressed it with his thumb.

"Happy birthday, my Princess," he greeted sweetly and softly. I didn’t notice that there were helpless tears from my eyes. I just felt a hot liquid run down my cheek. Then I noticed that I was crying when Daddy rubbed my wet cheek.

"I love you," he whispered. I hugged him tightly as we continued to dance. I hugged him tightly to relieve my feelings. I don't want to cry all the time. There are so many people that I don't want to cry.

Until the end of the song we will still hug.

Before I could let go of the hug, I tenderly said, "I love you too, Dad."

Before he left, he kissed me on the forehead again. I stayed in the middle and stood while watching the people.
