Chapter 22: Chapter 22

Chapter 22

They stared at each other before removing their masks.

"Pershey," Leighden's partner whispered so she looked at him.

When they both looked at each other, they both backed away.

"Neil?"

"Pershey."

"Our gorgeous queen and our handsome king!"

The crown was transferred to them and the people applauded.

"Let's hear the message from our lovely queen and our king," he approached and handed over the microphone.

Pershey looked at Leighden full of doubt mixed with joy.

She slowly raised the microphone to begin speaking.

"Good e-evening," she greeted. “I-i d-didn’t expect to be a queen,” she said. She couldn't help but look at Neil.

She was about to continue speaking when Neil spoke.

"I'm sorry but I can't be her King." He got off the stage and immediately exited.

Everyone was surprised when he left. Pershey was left on stage.

She ran down the stage and pulled Leighden out.

They got in the car and Leighden started driving.

"Are you okay?"

"Of course," she answered quickly. She took a wine and opened it.

"Obviously not, Pershey."

"You know no, you shouldn't have asked."

She did not speak until they reached the mansion.

"I have to go," Leighden let out.

"Come here," she commanded as she sipped the wine.

"I need to go home."

"You can sleep in my room."

She staggered so Leighden hugged her.

It was about twelve o'clock when they got home so the other maids were asleep.

When they entered, Nanny Yuna immediately appeared and immediately supported Pershey.

"What happened to Doña Pershey?"

They carefully climbed to the second floor and entered Pershey's room.

Pershey fell asleep quickly as they laid her on the bed.

"W-wha-"

"Shhhh," Leighden scolded.

Nanny Yuna just went out to get water and a towel to wipe Pershey.

"Drunk," Leighden said while softly laughing before she sat down next to Pershey. She lay down and stared at the ceiling. "Pershey got her partner, but unfortunately ..." she looked at Pershey who was sound asleep. "Neil doesn't want her," she continued as she caressed Pershey's face. "I wanted to make you happy but your happiness is really hard to get." She sighed and stopped stroking Pershey's cheek. "You're my bestfriend, my sister, my mother and my boyfriend. I always want to hear you laughed." She continued to caress Pershey's face. "Who belongs to you?"

She had fallen asleep.

They were not even aware of the passage of time in the depths of their sleep.

Pershey was even more drunk than Leighden who drank a lot of alcohol.

Bria re -entered Pershey's room. She saw them both asleep, she immediately closed the door and went down.

She went to the kitchen and cooked. While she waited for the food to cook, she first mixed the milk and poured it into two glasses.

When the food was cooked, she transferred it to two plates and put them together in a container.

She climbed up with them and gently pushed the door using her foot.

She went in and put the food down on the table next to Pershey's bed.

She watched Leighden and Pershey as they slept soundly.

She sat on the side of the bed. She did not take her eyes off the two of them.

"Don't stare at me," Pershey said as she closed her eyes.

Bria just frowned and thought she was just dreaming.

Pershey opened her eyes and looked at Bria.

Bria blushed and immediately smiled.

"Good morning, Señorita," she greeted.

"Why you're here?"

"I cooked your breakfast," she replied. Leighden woke up and rolled her eyes.

Bria looked at them. Bria smiled and said, "Good morning."

"The door is closed, how did you get in?"

She smiled first before she answered. "I opened it."

"Leave," she commanded. Bria immediately stood up and left.

Pershey stood up and locked the door. She went back to bed and sat up.

"What happened last night?" she wondered questioning Leighden who was currently still lying. "I-i ..."

"You won, queen Pershey," she replied and sat down next to her.

Pershey frowned as she looked at her. She was trying to read what was on Leighden's mind.

She continued to stare at Leighden.

"What's wrong? Do I have dirt on my face?"

Pershey shook her head then stood up and took a walk.

“As I remember,” she begins as she walks to the left and then walks to the right. "My partner called me 'My Lady ... right?"

"I don't know," she replied while shaking.

"Can you tell me if it's just a dream that Neil is my partner?" She stopped walking and immediately approached Leighden. She grabbed both of Leighden's arms and asked further. "Is it just a dream or an illusion?"

Leighden stared at her and averted her eyes. She removed Pershey's hands that rested on her arm. She got up and went to the window.

"Not a dream, not an illusion either," she replied as she peered out the window. "That's true," she turned and smiled.

"Which one is true?"

"Neil danced you but Neil didn't know that you were his partner last night. You also didn't know that Neil was your partner," she clarified and approached. She sat down next to Pershey again. "You're the chosen Queen and he's your King," she added and smiled. Pershey smiled as well. "But," she turned and immediately looked at Pershey. She forced a smile. "He walked away when he saw you," she added.

Pershey sighed deeply. She bent down and played with her fingers. She did not utter a word.

"It's all my fault, Pershey. S-sorry."

Pershey looked at her and smiled. "It's not your fault. We both don't know but atleast we enjoyed."

Leighden smiled broadly and hugged her. She caressed Pershey's back.

She slipped out of the hug and stood up.

She looked at herself. She examined what she was wearing.

They were wearing pajamas and a T-shirt.

"Who changed my clothes?" she asked as she touched the hem of her dress. "Pershey," she looked up and mixed emotions. "Did you undress me?" she asked.

She laughed at being stoned by Pershey's pillow before she replied, "I didn't undress you, assuming girl! Maybe you! Look at me! You undressed me, didn't you?"

She threw back the pillow and stunned replied, "I have no interest in seeing your body, duh!" Pershey just laughed at her. "I have that," she pointed to Pershey's chest. "I have that," she pointed to the lower part. "And ..." She rolled her eyes as she thought of what to say next.

"You don't have ass!" She even stuck out her tongue, teasing her. "You don't have an ass!"

“I have an ass,” she insisted.

"Can I see?"

"I have an ass, duhh!"

"You have an ass, it's flat," she teased.

"And at least I have an ass," she insisted again.

"Okay, what are you fighting for?"

"I'm fighting for my right to say I have an ass!" They even barely laughed. "You, what are you fighting for?" she asked.

"I'm just fighting for my right to say I have a fat ass," she boasted. Leighden just laughed.

They both burst out laughing with a knock.

"What do you need?" Pershey asked.

"I'm Nanny Yuna, can I come in?"

She immediately opened the door and let Nanny Yuna in with paper bags.

She lowered it to the side of Pershey's bed.

"What's that for?" she asked.

“Organizing and preparing necessities for your birthday, Doña Pershey.

She stood to look at the contents of the paper bags.

"I didn't say or order you to buy things. Did I say or order anything, Nanny Yuna?"

"Nothing ... but ... Ma'am Bria ordered to buy those," she explained.

"Did I let you out of the mansion and let her stay here?"

Nanny Yuna shooked her head.

"Did I tell you to follow whatever she tells you?"

She shook again.

"Why did you obey? Why didn't you let me know? You didn't call me. There was a phone there but you didn't call. Who is your boss? Is it me or Bria?"

"I'm sorry, Doña Pershey."

Pershey took a deep breath first and closed hee eyes tightly and immediately opened it.

She stood up and approached Nanny Yuna.

"Go back to your work, Nanny," she said calmly. Nanny Yuna left immediately and closed the door.

The two of them just looked at the items in the paper bags.

"Your ball is coming," Leighden reminded.

She looked up and confusedly asked, "Do I need to have a ball?"

"What do you think?"

She looked back at the equipment.
