Third Point of View

The waves are strong on the beach. The wind was blowing hard with the waves.

"Where are we going, Jess?" Pershey asked Jess. Pershey's eyes were blind-folded. Jess leads her.

"It's a secret," he replied. He stopped, so Peshey stopped as well.

Lots of flowers around. There is a table covered with white cloth. On the table, is a flower vase.

Although Pershey was still blindfolded, she did not know that Neil was in front of her.

“Where are we, Jess? You're scaring me. You're making me nervous,” she said. She even tried to remove the handkerchief covering her eyes.

“Don’t remove, Miss pretty,” he calmly said.

Jess let go of Pershey's hand and walked over to the table. There is a mini speaker. He played a music. It was an instrumental sound, violin cover.

"J-j-jess?" she called and was trying to catch Jess in the air when Neil held her hands, so she stopped. "W-w-who are you?" she asked.

“Just relax, Miss pretty. He won't hurt you,” he said.

Neil stepped forward to remove the handkerchief covering Pershey's eyes. Pershey didn't move as Neil removed her blindfold.

When the blindfold was removed from his eyes earlier, her eyes remained closed. When she felt that there was no handkerchief covering her eyes anymore, she slowly opened her eyes.

Gradually, she could see Neil smiling at her. She rolled her eyes and looked at him again.

Shr looked around and then looked back at him.

Neil's smile was wide which caused her to smile as well. At the same time as the melody of the violin, they almost melted staring at each other.

Neil widened his smile before taking her hand.

“I would like to ask you again,” he said. Pershey didn't speak and kept on looking at him. "Can I court you?" he asked that made Pershey to smile even more. Neil was just smiling on her like there were butterflies in his stomach, that made Pershey to smile too.

“Of course,” she finally said that made him to shout due to joy but in a way of whispers. Pershey almost laughed at his reaction.

He held tightly both of her hands and looked directly at her in her eyes.

“You made me happy, Pershey,” he weakly said with a smile on his face.

"You also make me happy," she insisted and smiled afterwards.

"Thankyou for giving me a chance."

She just widened her smile in response while staring at him in his eyes as if she's reading what's inside his mind.

"Let's eat?" he caressed. She nodded. “Our son is waiting for us,” he joked that made them both to weakly laughed.

They sat down. Meals and drinks are ready. There is milk for Jess.

They enjoy eating and talking. They always laughed and so did Jess.

Jess told them about his family before they died in a car accident.

Jess's face showed sadness and longing for them, so Pershey immediately comforted him.

"Eat more to be healthy, okay?" Pershey reminded. Jess nodded with a smile on his face.

While they were eating, Jess asked, "Are you going to adopt me, Miss pretty?"

Pershey immediately drank the water when what she ate almost stuck in her throat. She was shocked by Jess's question.

Neil and her looked at each other as if they were talking mentally.

"I will ask that the nuns to allow me to adopt you," she replied. Jess smiled.

"Don't give me away, huh?"

She smiled and stroked Jess's cheek then shook her head.

"We won't," she said. Jess smiled again and resumed eating.

They had finished eating, so they thought of taking a walk on the beach. The waves hit their legs, so they could get wet.

If you look at them, they look like a happy family. They became close to Jess and so did Jess to them. They are almost often together.

They sat on the sand. They built a sand castle that was always destroyed by the waves.

They had so much fun while making the sand castle. They are rocking the sand and running steadily and avoiding each other.

When they got tired, they stopped. In the sea, they bathed to cleanse themselves and remove the sand from their bodies. They also went up immediately afterwards.

They went back to the table and ate again. They just rested for a while before they returned to the van to go home. Pershey immediately changed Jess's clothes, so that he wouldn't get cold.

They just folded the towel in their bodies.

They had already taken Jess to the orphanage. Pershey bathed Jess to make his body cleaner. After bathing Jess, she put the child to sleep, so that he could rest.

"Miss Pretty, Neil," he called us softly even though he was sleepy.

"Don't leave me too," he continued before closing his eyes. Neil looked at them before they left.

He took Pershey to the mansion to rest before he left. They talked about having dinner together tonight at Neil's house. Pershey agreed because she had nothing else to do later.

Pershey went straight to the living room and was a little shocked to see Leighden sitting on the sofa. She walked slowly, so that Leighden would not notice her.

“I can still hear it,” she said while eating pop-corn. She stopped walking. She didn't even hesitate to sit on the sofa because Leighden had already noticed her.

"What brought you here, Leigh?" she asked.

Leighden's gaze turned to her as if her gaze indicated something.

“I have something to tell you,” she weakly and slowly said while staring at her.

"What is that?"

Leighden immediately looked back at the TV, looked down at the pop-corn, and looked back at the TV again.

"Don't tell me that you're pregnant?" as far as she could because of what she had noticed in Leighden.

Leighden threw a few pieces of pop-corn at her for what she said.

She insisted, "You're too advanced to think!"

She laughed a little then ironed her clothes.

"What are you going to tell me?"

"Draek is now my boyfriend," she said and stopped laughing because of the spark.

"Really?"

She nodded in response while smiling sweetly at her.

"What about you and Neil?"

"It's complicated," she immediately replied.

“I guess Neil really liked you back then. Didn't you really notice? ”

She did not utter a word. Everything that had happened before came back to her mind. She was just silent as she leaned her back on the sofa.

“Is it because of love potion I used to him?” she suddenly asked.

"Potion didn't work to him, isn't it?"

She suddenly stood up as her eyes widened. Many other things entered her mind.

She took a walk while thinking about that thing.

"Do you know that ..." she said and stopped for a moment. Leighden waited for what she would say next. “I am ...” she paused for a moment again. She thinks deeply.

“He’s sincere, Pershey. Draek told me everything. ”

She looked at her in confused. She asked, "What did Draek tell you?"

“He told me everything about Neil. He said how much he endured avoiding you, Pershey. Neil really loves you, he loves you. It's not because of potion, it didn't work, but because he really loves you,” she explained. Even as she explained, she was still confused.

"I am ... scared ..."

"You're scared in what?"

“I am scared to love again, Leighden. I don't want to get hurt in the end. ”

She stood up and approached Pershey.

“You love Neil, I know,” she said and held her hands. "You will be hurt before you learn," she added.

Sadness and joy drew on Pershey's face.

She could feel the doubt Pershey felt. “I have to go. I have a date at 7:00 PM. ”

She also left after she said goodbye. Pershey went straight to her room to rest.

As she sat on the bed, her cellphone rang. She immediately answered the call.

International Call, so she already knows who is calling.

"Hello."

"H-hi," a woman greeted her as well. She knew Bria was that woman because of the tone of her voice.

"How are you, Sis?" she asked.

Bria replied, “I am fine, Pershey. I just called you to know your condition. ”

As Pershey stood in front of her drawer, she searched for the potion bottle. She couldn't find where she last put that bottle, so she was busy searching. She could no longer answer Bria's question.

“Hello? Are you listening to me? ”

"Yeah," she replied while still looking for the bottle.

"Are you busy, Pershey?"

“It's not much. I'm just looking for a small bottle,” she replied. Her cellphone was pinned to her ear and shoulder.

“Small bottle? What kind of bottle? ”

"It's only the size of an index finger."

She soon found the bottle. She was delighted.

“Finally, I found it,” she said to it.

"Pershey," she called hesitantly. Pershey didn't notice that.

"Why?"

"I'll admit something," she said.

"What is that?"

‘I went into your room then.’

"It's okay to me now."

"I saw the potion you got from CaPety."

Her eyes almost widened at what Bria had said.

"Do you know CaPety?"

"I know that you're going to use the potion to someone, I don't know."

"Wh-what?"

"I replaced the potion into fake one."

“What ?! ”

"Sorry."

She was speechless and turned off the call. She couldn't believe what Bria said. There was a lot of confusion in her mind.

"I used a fake potion," she said to herself.
